I didn’t think those through with how much experience I had back then. If SMM3 comes out, I’m looking forward to making an SMM3 edition to this. The thought will probably be much better.
@@kaizobros That is crazy for being a relatively new SMM creator back then. Honestly (as someone who has made like 1 level that was trash), just making 30+ levels that all have something a little different has to be tough by itself.

I made a couple of 1-1 courses with twists. The first one uses the 3D World style so I could use the clear pipes to show how the rooms are connected. KL6-Q3P-PBG - NES Super Mario Bros. 3D World The newer one looks like the NES version, but pipes and pits make the ground rise up a bit, so it's uphill. 81V-YDM-32H - Super Mario Bros. 1-1 UPHILL
These are the kind of Mario Maker levels I like. Difficult, but not frustratingly unfair. Usually what makes an Expert and especially Super Expert level is lots and lots of unfair deaths caused by obstacles even the best Mario player in the world couldn't see coming and thus avoid. In fact, those kind of levels are designed so that the only way you can possibly beat them is by dying multiple times to things that could not reasonably have been avoided. The kind of levels that aren't about skill but are about sheer persistence. The reason I don't play Mario Maker and instead watch DGR do it is because I knew the game would be filled with those kinds of levels.
