I know this is a bit older but I have a couple questions. I have an 85 K10 that I’m putting the MSD Atomic EFI master kit on in a few days. The truck has dual tanks with return lines. Can I use the fuel pump that’s included with this kit and just block off my return lines or is it better to get the full fuel return line kit? Lastly is ignition - I have a Street Fire MSD HEI distributor and have bypassed the stock ESC (electronic spark controller). What ignition solution do you recommend for allowing the MSD EFI system to control timing? Keeping in mind, funds are limited, any suggestions here is appreciated.

Glad to see MSD releasing this information! Also glad to get more of a timeframe on the particular system updates such as DBW TB. Would be very curious to see when they plan to release that snazzy BrainWave App that I saw displayed at Sema?!?! Having the ECU correct and do things automatically is great, but to have a wireless Tablet that allows me to display the timing and fuel maps are absolutely paramount! MSD really has a homerun system here. Ultimately, I feel that end user flexibility will be the key to success. They obviously have the bases covered for the novice EFI installer, but there are a large amount of people that love the packaging of the system, that don't necessarily like the lack of user adjust ability. I have high hopes that BrainWave will seal that gap. I've been considering this system for my forged LS7 swap.

Very interesting system. A question I didn't hear asked in the presentation was: Does the integrated computer store the parameters like engine size along with other custom inputs and learned values if the battery is disconnected from the vehicle?

It is hard coded in ROM. Check out their forum as well. I have been getting lots of answers there. Unfortunately, the system doesn't have alot of end user reviews. As it is a rather expensive option, it has taken time for the market to absorb. In any case, it looks fantastic!
