This bittersweet tale involves a young wife obsessed with claustrophobia and how it imperils her life and, especially, her marriage.
When Mary, played by Loretta Young, and Tom, played by Charles Drake, were first married he made light of her obsession. However, two years later he finds her fears no longer cute. The young couple must now consult a psychiatrist, who roots out the causes of her anxieties and helps her head down the road to a normal life.
Charles Drake turned to acting and signed a contract with Warner Brothers In 1939, but he was not until 1945, when he was cast in Conflict with Humphrey Bogart, did he become a viable actor.
He played in eighty-three films between 1939 and 1975, including Scream, Pretty Peggy. More than fifty were dramas, but he also acted in comedies, science fiction, horror, and film noir.
Drake turned to television in the early 1950s as one of the stock-company players on Montgomery's Summer Stock, a summer replacement for Robert Montgomery Presents and from 1957 hosted the syndicated TV espionage series Schilling Playhouse.
He died on September 10, 1994 in East Lyme, Connecticut, at the age of seventy-six.
Nelson Leigh plays the psychologist in this drama. He was a prolific motion picture actor of the 1940s and 1950s. Later in his career he appeared mainly on television, in the 1955 anthology drama series Police Call and in popular TV shows such as "Perry Mason", Bonanza and The F.B.I. His most popular recurring role was in the Christian television anthology series, This Is the Life, playing the role of Pastor Martin.
Leigh died on July 3, 1985, in Hemet, California at age 80.

I remember watching episodes back in the 70s when I was in elementary school. Now, I started binging on her episodes and have become so impressed by her talent and versatility! And, the beauty and grace she displays! A pioneer for women on TV for sure!

Hmm... he has a point, but for someone that doesn't suffer from claustrophobia, it's not a real problem. How'd they get into the Drs office? I can see a skyline through the curtains. LY was a superior actor.
