I see lots of potential for a extremely tough rig with a little extra tech it would be untouchable like someone else said some turbos air ride bigger tanks and a few personal touches like a small loading crane couple winches including one in the bed properly mounted and possibly one one each side and front and possibly a cool sleeper made for two and then possibly a little chrome and some cool lights for all sides chrome definitely not a must thou just think there's cool possibilities of making it look very nice also
That's some great engineering and it looks like it can take care of business as well.

How come none of those russian off-road trucks had a locked diffrential?
Old KrAZ (255B) has center differential locking. Means You can have have permanent 6x3 drive. Newer Kraz (64XX) has both center diff locking and axle diff locking for permanent 6x6. Older one didn't have axle diff locking, because many drivers were completely unexperienced and it would lead to numerous failures.
Russian's are crazy an don't need none of that lol

It is an amazing truck. The pulling power under load it phenomenal.
Its like our 5 tom trucks here in the states, but tougher. Although I will say they are alot more rustic and yeah, 0 luxury, the cabs are half metal half wood

New Kamaz have locking differential but Kraz 255 will take any truck for walk including my monster Oshkosh WT 2206 !

Dont remember if it was this engine but I remember a joke from army. Soviet engineers claimed the engine can run under water. Western engineers inspected the engine and claimed it cant even run on land :D

Myself as growing up In USSR, Ill be honest, I always liked the truck, It has a good engine, YMZ RUSSIA, Located in the Hearts of Russia "Yaroslavl Motor Plant" Use Wiki as source. The truck has a good towing capacity, Its a HEAVY duty truck, Predominately used as a a hauler for excavators and any sorts of high tonnage equipment and as such. But the video complication here shows it from the wrong side. THATS NOT WHAT IT IS
Its absolutely horrible when it comes to off road, the problem is, it's low axels composition, compared to other Russian vehicles such as URAL.
KRAZ will dig itself into mud really fast and once its done and you cant move, You may need a CAT9 to pull that thing out because its heavy and is done sitting on all 3.
It is really bad off road vehicle,
This is trully a highway truck by its nature meant to haul heavy cargo.
The reason it has all 3 drive axles was sole because when it was developed there were no highways in the USSR.
Later they developed the same KRAZ that had 8x2 configuration with just the rear normal truck axles and a passive front.
There were cranes, there were tow trucks, there were dump trucks, just a bout anything that can be made based on the chasse but its an absolutely is not an of road beast. It sucks ass in any mud. Has horrible transmission and is called the "soul taker" because back in the Soviet times drivers would hate to be behind the wheel of one of these it was so difficult to operate it and maintain this thing, that they thought it actually took the health out of them.

@@persianimmortal7455 They are too heavy for expedition, but yes the look and design is amazing, a lot of power but in the areas where there is no roads you better be in a smaller vehicle

Какой нахрен Украине. Его СССР создал, а точнее ЯАЗ. Украина кроме нацизма у себя в стране, ничего не создала.
Украина просрала и развалила КРАЗ . Впрочем, как и всё ,что ей досталось от СССР . СТРАНА НЕДОРАЗУМЕНИЕ .
Ей слава только за говнойское качество изготовления деталей и криворукую сборку. А машина ярославская.
Я вот поражаюсь, как приедешь на пруд, появляется какое-то чмо с отделкой, мериет , типо стоишь близко, херак штраф. А тут всякие не далёкие по рекам разъязжают, видио выкладывают, и хоть бы хер. А про что фильм? Про старое ведро с болтами? Такая машина ценится у племён африканских, где нефтяра есть, а денег купить новую денег нет
