OMG It is so amazing to finally see my map make it into the videos. and I did make the timer this way specifically for the actual seek time to be known. Also, the switch for each vent is right next to the vent itself. I can also garuntee there are about 3-4 hiding spots in each room, switch wise. This was also my first time making tank steering, so I didn't know what buttons to map it to.
Also, it wasn't meant to be a decontamination room, it was supposed to be a testing chamber for bots and chemicals. That's why there are 2 bots in cases in that room. The reason why there was no switch in that gap on the engine is because that gap was made by part of it moving up to reveal the 9 lights.

Yes! But we the community need to keep making epic scrap mechanic maps! I’m working on a top secret challenge map right now, based on a hit tv show, that will also eventually have a hide and seek version when finished.

@@kiranvisser1422 I don't know I loved his intro and one day the intro disappeared and wasn't in the video, I thought it was a bug or he forgot to put it in the edit but no, his iconic intro is gone forever.
Or maybe we can change that?
That map was so much better than expected when they kept digging, and looking for the goals! It was a masterpiece I'd even say!

Couldn't you toggle the outside switch, then the switch inside the spot from the outside, hit the outside one again to open it up again, then go in and close it.
That way the outside switch isn't turned on, making it less suspicious.

Suggestion: Maybe there can be a separate voice chat for the hiders? Something that the seeker can't hear. That would be interesting :)
that would be kinda boring because they would just be talking back and forth and its fun when the hiders say things they're not supposed to and the seekers capitalize on that
They COULD use a second voice app with a push to talk to communicate with the seeker, but I agree that them making mistakes and revealing a little too much is a part of the game.
What WOULD be cool, is if Scrap Mechanic had a built in voice chat with positional audio, so you could hear each other talking if you get close enough.
Day two of suggesting a rule for the 15 minute hiding; Allow the seeker to turn his HUD on for 5 seconds. This will allow the see where the hiders are without knowing exactly where they are.

The difference between a spaceship and a starship is where they fly.
Spaceships are used within a solar system, generally used to fly between space stations or launched from larger ships. Starships are used to travel between solar systems.
I just woke up at 6am feeling like I’m about to die and I’m watching your videos to calm me down. That’s how much I like your videos.

day 49 of asking scrapman to do a multiplayer where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot already at the mechanic station and everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, no glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races along some road
No offense but I liked the old multiplayer mondays more when y’all used to build vehicles and have fun, now every Monday we just have a bunch of running around

Spaceship = any ship designed to travel through space. Starship = a ship designed to travel between stars/solar systems.
It's the whole squares/rectangles thing; not all spaceships are starships, but all starships are spaceships.

I wonder if they ever found out what that switch did that they kept accidentally knocking off by destroying the objects it was on.
Day 132 of Asking scrapman to make a Machine that make that uses the steal balls and magnets to make the steal ball orbit around your creation with out any thing touching them and try to take out a building with it in instruments of destruction

I like how most of these hide-and-seek maps have an Easter egg hunt at the end, like a little bonus for watching the whole vid.
The next hide and seek map you should play is an oil rig one because it was really good when I tested it out
I really like these combination hide-and-seek + escape room maps because they encourage looking in places that would have been completely missed otherwise.
Don't they normally do the hint at 7 min which is 5 min because the hide time is 2 min
After u find a hiding spot with switches, u should click the inside one once and open it again to make the switch outside not lit up

Idea for going into spots: flick the switch to open it, flick the inside switch, reopen it, go in, close it

It should be possible to make a mod that only hide nametags on a key toggle.
There is the Hide and Seek Mod by Programmer Alex on the workshop. I made a mod spotlight video of it on my channel if you'd like to see it in action. :)
Awesome video as always! If you guys want your HUD on but nametags off, plus a scoreboard and a host of other features, then we need mapmakers to submit their maps to Programmer Alex so he can add them to his Hide and Seek Mod. Suggestion: You did a whacky trailer race once - what about a whacky truck race? You all build trucks to pull a standard trailer around a race course. Every round you switch the truck. You should be able to drive your truck but the others should have a hard time doing so BUT the truck setup is the same: The truck has to be driven as comming from the lift - no modification to suspension, bearings, motor settings etc (not allowed to use the build/wiring tools)
(Maybe you have done this/something similar but did not find it)
I think the second verbal hint, if it comes to that, should be the seeker gets to ask 1 question that the rider has to answer truthfully. But obviously it can't be "where are you." Or maybe like 20 questions (only not 20) where the seeker gets to ask, say, 5 questions, but all yes/no questions, but still not "Are you in .... room?"
i swear i'm gonna make a map that punishes you guys for destroying things, you'll never find ANYONE. destruction when seeking is CHEATING.

Also, o wonder how would that look with one additional player, accualy I thought with who you could do it and that remind me about series (I don't remember who's tho) that then Chech out builds of viewers with them and you could do it; inviting random subscribers that are on discors

Next time, you should finish the mission during a hide and seek. If you succeed without being found, you win, but if the seeker finds everyone, it's game over.
you should do fusion evelution where you take first and second place and only use the blocks in those creations, if you want to make it even MORE interesting you could take last place and remove the blocks in that creation from first and second

Fun fact... In the game Hunt Showdown they have ingame voice chat and there used to be a bug that cross contaminated the voice chat from other game servers...

May sound like a dumb question but have you checked if you can’t turn off player names in settings as I would allow the seeker to see the buttons on a seat or look In chests etc
From my understanding of things a Spaceship is contained to a single system whereas a Starship is interstellar.

I was NOT expecting an escape room inside my hide and seek map.
The ULTIMATE hiding spot would be to activate and hide in the escape pod...
The escape pod only opens once all 9 switches have been activated and the ball was taken to the engine room, when it launches it starts a timer to activate the end block. So you can't actually hide inside the escape pod, but i will say that there are 2 other hiding spots with switches in that room that Scrapman did not see in this video, as well as a easter egg in the crane robot that he didn't show.

Immediately grab the ball, move it, hit all the switches, run to the escape pod and hide...
If two people work together to do it, it can be done.
@@35manning fair, if you can avoid the seeker that whole time then more power to you, just know that launching the pod ends the map.
Does sound like a fun challenge though.

Fastest to catch everyone takes 1st place.
If you can't catch them all, the seeker with the longest time until escape wins, each person caught adds time (say 1 minute).
Can't escape until all players not yet caught are in the escape pod.
Seeker not allowed to camp anywhere or enter or capture / shoot anyone inside the escape pod.
@@35manning That honestly sounds fun, wouldn't be possible to do from a base game logic perspective, but as self imposed rules, would be pretty cool.

Man I wish scrapman would make a video of hide and seek but he chests and dosent turn his hud off
