Thank you so much for this wonderful documentary! My Grandfather was born on Laeso in 1900!! His first pipefull of tabacco, as a teenager, he told me was actually "seaweed"! He left the island and became a United States Navy Sea Captain of transport ships. Mange tak again!......David Sorensen
thank you for the documentation. I got to know Læsø through my husband and also got to love it. Every year we go on vacation to Læsø and it's like coming home. Here we can relax and recharge our batteries. For us Læsø is our little one fine dream island. Greetings Tatjana
Hi David Thanks for you comment. We think your Grandfather has wash the seaweed out from salt, because normally it can’t burn! Where do you live in US? And by the way, have did you found our film? Best Regards - Anders Dylov
Hey Anders...Neil's never mentioned the smoking process..a man of very few words..I am living in Southern California now...grew up in the San Francisco where Neil's, Magda and his two children grew. I searched "people of Laeso" in RUclips. Where do you live?
Hi David I live in Copenhagen, and I'm producer and the owner of Chroma Film - www.chroma.dk We did a film about Korean War, maybe some interest for Navy people. Here is link for the trailer: vimeo.com/49588540 Best Regards - Anders

Just asking, but how many ton of seaweed do they used to build the seaweed house? Great video by the way!
35-40 tons on average.
Here after the BBC article.
