- Welcome to my channel! Today, I talk about the beginning to end experience of what it was like attending my first NYC Open Casting Call. There seems to be a lot of questions about what it was like so I decided to give tips and tricks for anyone's first trip for next time. Also, learn from me what mistakes I made and what worked well. This is a vary raw and transparent view of the day, I don't sugarcoat but also grateful and appreciative of the experience.

I’d keep going to open calls tbh. That’s how I got signed. If you think the line is long for an open call. Imagine how many emails they get a day. No matter how you look it’s prob going in the spam folder. I’d go with the real life interactions for real answers n real experience.
I was there! The line was so long I ended up just giving them my comp card and submitted online. Thanks for sharing your experience 👏🏽 I’d love to know more about the list of smaller agencies/boutiques 😊

Omg you’re so lucky you got you picture taken!! 😭 I was there since 8:30am and didn’t get in because at some point hella people were just skipping the line and it got so disorganized.
I’m so sorry, that’s terrible! So many people were skipping. I didn’t realize not everyone had their photo taken but makes sense considering the number of people there.
@@Citrusco i’m also extremely know to this industry, like this was the first thing i ever did to make my first step to being a model. if you would be able to share that list of smaller agencies/boutiques i would appreciate it too :)
