    I'm just happy that it's not going to get crushed! I have a 72 as well that I've had since 1986 when I was 18.

      Saweet on your 72. The 71 will rise from the ashes some day. And my two 72’s need to get finished.

    I think even a standard 318 or even a slant six Charger is a pleasure to drive and to look at. You wouldn't even think about things like the standard dash vs rallye dash looking out and down the road. I recommend Mopar Rallye wheels. I know a local guy (a different guy, not Darrel ) that has a stack of 14 by 5 1/2 inch, just to get you started. I think he wants 50 each. Darrel also has the spoke types last time I checked.

      Thanks Auteur. But for now I’m focused on other cars so I won’t needs wheels for it any time soon.

      They’re at least a little more affordable than the 2nd gen’s. Good luck on your hunt for one.

    Cool car man I had a 1973 charger but mine had no title so I couldn't drive it i got rid of the car and i wish I would have kept it now because I could get a title now for it it costs a little but with the title I would have something

    • @JonnyMopar
      @JonnyMopar  2 года назад

      Here in Cali it’s actually pretty easy to get a title. Bummer you still don’t have it. I have a parts truck D100 I paid $100 for but has $1200 in back fees. Kinda sucks.

    My Girlfriend surprised me with a 71 Charger for Valentines day. It was her ex bf's niece's high school/college car in the late 90's early 2000's and she blew up the motor in 2001 or 2002 her dad pulled the motor and just parked it. Gf picked it up for $400 it's in fairly good condition, and I can pick a 318 for next to nothing and since it's never going to be Numbers matching it's time for it to get some much needed customizing. I'm going to change the color, it's originally brown with black interior and then just clean it all up and build a daily driver/cruise-in/cars and coffee car and just have fun with it.

      Awesome! Congratulations Real OC. Good luck on the build. And building a driver is the way to go, you’ll get way more enjoyment out of it.

    Great Score! I actually think it would be cool to get it running and driving the way that it is, If the frame isn't bent. But then again I like driving around in Clapped Out Dodges haha, Great Video!

    I think it was a good buy. Just one criticism. It thought the dramatic music was too loud. It was louder than your voice near the end when you were narrating. It was kind of stressful music, too.

    Why does every old Mopar clean out have Budweiser beer cans and bottles, never underestimate the 318.......1971 318 was fast, faster than the later 360's and 400's. It's finally getting it's due.... I've driven every single mopar muscle car engine and the 318 until 1974 was alway the one that seemed the most underrated.

    Really nice deal if that car would have been in my neighborhood you're in Ohio for that money it would have been more rust it's actually pretty solid sure can't go wrong for that much I'm trying to save a 73 and it has more than twice the rust damage on it

      Damn Keith, I have a solid 74 shell with nothing on it, not even a VIN but it’s Cali solid if you want to come and get it. Between this and myths Rusty 73 you can save a Mopar. Lol. Free BTW.

      @@JonnyMopar I'd like to take mine to a frame shop and get the frame fixed because it's just under the firewall on the driver side rusty cars not too bad I'm still hoping I would find a 68 or 9 b-body Roadrunner or Dodge super or a Dodge Coronet someday Maybe I always regret selling my 68 Charger but that's the way it went I didn't realize you still had a 68 that was your high school car that's one that I would like to see you do something with soon put it back to stock make it original and just drive it but I know if I sell the 73 charger I'll probably never get another one cuz they're just too much for me these days all the ones that I had before 68 or 69s was something that somebody left for parts and I fixed them up I once paid $50 for a factory orange 69 Charger 318 car it was rough but I still drove it after I put it all back together and once I bought a 69 RT White 440 with automatic for $100 motor was locked up but the rest of the car wasn't too bad that was back in the '80s it was a long time ago you never do that these days
