Thanks and glad to hear it, yeah I have had that one on my list since the beginning, but still haven't found enough info on it for a video yet; hopefully will someday though 😉
yes sir, a video about a 2nd gen Charger is just like the car, an instant classic. and good news is, we still got a whole mess of them to go. thank you for the musclecar my friend.
Because of the Dukes, there’s no car that looks more at home in the air than a 69 Charger. Like the most beautiful Spartan woman in 300, the gift of her beauty was her curse.
Love the video, but I will admit that for the production crew to source out the '69 Dodge Chargers from Death Proof was a smart idea because all they have to do is restore them and add on the safety features for Drive Angry in order to use them right away, plus none of them were destroyed and probably got sold to collectors,at least that's a good thing for sure.
The 2nd generation 1968-70 Dodge Charger is quite possibly one of the most widely used vehicles in pop culture. Dukes Of Hazzard, the Fast & Furious franchise, Bullitt, Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, Death Proof, just to name a few.
I wasn't much into Dukes Of Hazard, but I've always liked the 2nd gen Charger and Death Proof and Drive Angry are very cool movies. Any kind of grindhousey action film with classic muscle cars is always a win for me.
Neat Video and Thx for sharing ! I own one, a factory X9 Black 1969 Charger R/T SE, 440 Magnum/Auto, unrebuilt/unrestored survivor in still 'minty' original condition with no issues. I try to drive it as often as I can in summers as I live quite rural and it's a pleasure to drive on the highway to town, that said, not all that practical getting tackled everywhere you go once in town, Groceries/hardware store or whatever.... and of course as guy has to really drive defensively at all times as lookee-loo's will smash right into a you while ogling. I've met some very nice people as a result, lotsa good conversations.... and although it used to be flattering people were so enamored with the old thing.... sure get some goofy looks from people because my Dog(gsd) goes everywhere with me in it.... "you let your Dog in that Car" ?
Excellent video! Thats really cool to find out about the chargers connection to death proof. 😀 Also, that County Charger MPC kit is a re boxing and decals as it was originally a General Lee kit.
Request for possible car/cars idea or at least one id be super interested in. The recent Twisted metal series specifically ROADKILL Camaro. Glad to see you back on here.
'Just another guy who traveling and needs to saved a baby 😅' that's how i see this movie being grandfather's carzy adventure with only one shotgun, too many oneliners, tough gal (in more mays that we know), evil bounty bad guy, anti life group and finally overly useless cgi are all things everyone knows but at least we have 69 charger as today's video really does some justice for dodge's most iconic muscle car so that you buddy and have a nice day bye now later.
The 69 Charger has 68 headlight bezels. I'm glad to hear they restored damaged Chargers. It pisses me off no end when the film industry just destroys these cars. Why don't they just build one from scratch and not ruin originals.
There is a fellow who worked for Ben Jones making chargers out of crown Victoria's. His videos inspired me to make a 51 Mercury out of a 2007 interceptor
69 chargers are my favorite muscle cars! And when it comes to the vent windows! A/C or no A/C who ever removed those from cars and trucks! Should be ashamed of themselves! They need to bring them back!
I wouldn't be surprised if McCarthy swapped in an LS in the stunt cars since he is famous for using a common drivetrain in the F&F movies for reliability and not having to worry about the condition of the stock engine.
Yeah, if the funding had been there, they may of, but this was quite a lo budget film actually as you can tell by the cast choice and cartoon like CGI sequences, lol.
So, that Chargers did not want to die 😃 Thanks for another great video, the more because is about my most beloved car since when i know what a car is ❤.. ..and do not tell The Accountant how great was the 440 😁😁
1969 Dodge Chargers didn't always have the passenger mirror because it was an optional item at the time, but the safety benefits outweigh the aerodynamic downsides in my opinion.
@@CarStarz42 it’s a bit of a stretch, i know; with car rather being a celebrity car than a movie car. Since then I discovered two more if you need ideas: 57 Chevy from Return to Macon County & the Camaro in Eat My Dust
Next video the Death Proof Charger !!! Ha ha also for the color it is blue, i found an article online that someone talked to a stunt driver or someone that worked ok the car, and it was painted blue they said.
I do have that one on my list as well and it is matte black, it's just that in certain sunlight angles with a bit of dust cover, it just appears to have a bluish tint. Even in person, matte paint can be weird on the eyes like that, lol 😉
@CarStarz42 I thought the same, maybe it's a filter, or due to the fakt that the car is dusty and dirty, or lighting, but when you compare the car in death proof, and even the promo pictures of Drive Angry whit that 68 Charger that are in fakt flat black, it looks really different in my opinion, I also read online it was painted blue some stunt coordinator was explaining that, and on another website they even say it's B9 Dark Blue Poly, soooooo I gonna take a scale model and make a replica, and see how it will turn out 😄
Was wondering if you could possibly cover Final Destination 2 since many vehicles are involved in the opening pileup. Though you probably wouldn't be able to only cover one of them. Perhaps you could devote each fact to one of the main character's vehicles? I believe there's around 7-8 unique important vehicles in them (Kimberly's SUV, Evan's Firebird, Rory's Mustang, Nora's Pinto, Eugene's Motorcycle, Burke's Police Car, and Kat's SUV + Log Truck)
I focus on individual cars, one at a time, for my videos as folks expect the depth at this point, but I'll add it to my mega list anyway to look into. Thanks
Does anyone know the license plate for the citroen ds on highlander tv series, I'm trying to make livery in Gran Turismo 7 ! Any help would be appreiciated 😅

Incorrect actually, technically in the film; the car is owned by the Piper's boyfriend, but Milton drives it the most in the movie so I went with that 😉
Definitely matte black in color, although when it has a dusting of dirt on it and hits sunlight at certain angles, it does get a bit of a bluish tint to it.
