As a train enthusiast I’m fascinated by the Clinchfield and what’s left of it. You started at the mine in McClure, VA (still in service today and loads coal trains for export regularly). You come out to the main line in that brief 30mph section before going up the Fremont Branch, considered OOS and the tracks are still there but hasn’t seen a train in close to a decade. I’ve actually photographed a train at the crossing you went over at 8:02
I think this is very interesting cuz I worked at the railroad in Lincoln Alabama at the Honda plant. Use to work 3 in the afternoon to 7 in the morning. I was a qmi inspector for the trains
If you don’t want it to be jittery when you apply the automatic brake. Bail off the locomotive brake, which is accomplished by pushing the loco brake lever down. Also try tip the rail driver on its side
The horn not working is not unrealistic that just means that in situations where you would use the horn, you would just have to use the bell without the horn, now if both the horn and bell stop working that would require you to stop the train and switch out locomotives.
This looks awesome Jeff, I've just ordered the Rail Driver here in the UK, bit pricey but I'm hoping for a more immersive experience using it. I've just swapped over to a LGC1 55in oled tv to use as my gaming monitor, managed to get some fantastic and detailed graphics with the TSW3 settings, 150% scale, ultra settings and 120fps ...looks amazing, cheers for your great content.
Man notch 8 and with an independent brake. At those speeds you’d be cooking the brakes on those locomotives. Jeff remember to release your independent uphill.
I wanted to get a RailDriver unit, but the cost was like $300 plus AN EXTRA $450 to deliver to the UK.... LOL! Been loving all your content lately Jeff, thanks for doing what you do. Especially enjoying the OCRP again since you aren't doing LSPDFR anymore. Sending many good vibes to you and family, my man x
You probably know by now (but in case you don't), "meets along the way" simply means meeting other trains traveling on a parallel track going the opposite direction. 😁
I love this kind of content and how he is using something he had store away for a long time and I love how after the tunnel was so dark make it seem so good
Hey Jeff, its interesting to see a car, truck/plane guy play a trains game and a "meet" in trains is meeting point of a local or manifest, like another unit train or mixed freight. It's where two trains meet at the same time. I'd love to see you play more trains related Games if you find them to interesting of course. As always i love your OCRP videos too. Stay Awesome Jeff.
Loved the dedication you have towards what you put up for us...thoroughly enjoyed it..really brought back memories before COVID when travelling via train...
Pretty cool game!! Like I said in previous videos, I would use dynamic brakes on the downhill sections. Use a minimum set as needed to keep as much air as possible for emergencies. When using dynamic brakes, be careful of draft forces when transitioning into power.
Don’t forget to ALWAYS bail-off when you’re using the automatic brake (except on passenger trains, or if you’re engine light) otherwise it ruins the brake shoes prematurely. I get that it’s a game but i’m only commenting if you want to add more realism 😉
His brakes would have been just dust after those speeds and all that throttle. Oh man. Coming from an actual rail conductor, you wouldn’t be using independent brake at those speeds anyways just automatic and dynamic braking if it’s equipped
You somehow make simple simulation games interesting and riveting with your commentary absolutely love the content Jeff thanks for the regular uploads!
The smile on your face that would periodicly pop up convinced me your were having sincere fun and placed a purchase order for a RailDriver. Thank you. More train content!
I got TS2021 and they got ClinchField as default and the first mission is the first place you spawned but it has way more hills as in TSW 2 would send your engine into the shops
I’m from Erwin Tennessee a big railroad town from the clinchfield heck I even have a headlight from an old challenger they scrapped down there. Also look up Mary the epiphany sad to say but my town is famous for hanging an elephant 😂
Hey Jeff, you should definitely try out run 8 train sim v3. The routes are pretty much the same price as TSW but they are to scale. It takes hours and hours to travel across the map. Also, there is multiplayer. the physics are a lot more realistic as well.
Hi Jeff, if you are interested in a japanese train simcade game, you should try the "Densha De Go!" series. They are available for various playstation platforms and the older games tend to lean towards simulation while the newer ones go towards a more accessible route. I highly recommend "Densha de Go! Final" as it is available for PC or the latest "Densha de GO!! Hashirou Yamanote Sen" for PS4
Hey, could you also do a play through of the new train game? It’s supposed to be an online tycoon type of game. You get to build railroads and everything, looks pretty cool
It's good to see you back and train sim world definitely should do more. And a recommendation if you wanted to be even more rewarding suggestion I would learn the safety systems on some of the trains it's really rewarding if you have the time to put into it 😊😊
Whatupppp Jeff?? Hey don't know if it makes a difference, but I take the valve off 6\26 and put it on Lead. Seems to have more power that way. Peace Stay Up
I get frustrated with this sim, because there's so much they do right, but also a lot they do wrong. They should really just open it up and let it take off with 3rd party train nerds making stuff. This DLC is a really cool choice of RR and also a historic line. It's very period accurate and prototypical, even down to the mismatched cars. But there's so much more they could be doing with the sim, it just kind of goes to waste.
Just wondering is it just yard switching your in only because it’s all I’ve been doing an I’m making no progress here I’m on the third one and it seem to be the same one here but am yes I did complete the other two yard switching and it’s just keeps putting me in GP-38’s

Thanks for bringing this back. Currently on Amtrak 97 Silver Meteor Southbound out of New York City.
I just took the crescent from nyc to Atl
@@solo6058 Great we must support the rails. Safe travels.
Man I am glad you were finally able to blow the dust off the ol RailDriver.
YES TSW2 IS BACK ON THE CHANNEL
as a person who loves trains and all, and run a train simulator with my dad, I really love these types of videos
I could watch Jeff play almost anything for hours on end!
Same
There is a game called Derail Valley: Overhaul that has a VR support if you wanna check it out.
Yep I own it
Who the hell would dislike a jfavignano video? His video is just purely enjoying simulation games
Right Jeff is the coolest...!!!
I think this is very interesting cuz I worked at the railroad in Lincoln Alabama at the Honda plant. Use to work 3 in the afternoon to 7 in the morning. I was a qmi inspector for the trains
Hey everyone hopefully you guys are having an amazing and awesome Tuesday afternoon. Hey Jeff glad to see the your doing well.
If you don’t want it to be jittery when you apply the automatic brake. Bail off the locomotive brake, which is accomplished by pushing the loco brake lever down. Also try tip the rail driver on its side

Made my day instantly! I hope you play more of this! Also I would love to see a Ft. Madison map in this game!
Another DLC I think would be pretty neat is the Saluda grade.

Wow the outside views are absolutely beautiful. Cool stuff with the RailDriver.
Train sim world is other train games to first train game.
If there's a sim you best believe it'll be on this channel!
Man notch 8 and with an independent brake. At those speeds you’d be cooking the brakes on those locomotives. Jeff remember to release your independent uphill.
Jeff if you push the independent brake to the right that’s your nail off on the rail driver
That Caboose is 100% functional too, you can get in and ride up in the cupola.
You probably know by now (but in case you don't), "meets along the way" simply means meeting other trains traveling on a parallel track going the opposite direction. 😁

Stay Awesome Jeff.
AS info: a meet is when either you have to wait for a train to pass or there's a train waiting for you to go pass.
Yayy I love me some train sim!! We definitely need more of these. Great vid Jeff!
great that after dealing with real life stuff I can home pop open YT and watch me a Jeff video and I forget about my problems
Loved the dedication you have towards what you put up for us...thoroughly enjoyed it..really brought back memories before COVID when travelling via train...
Use your dynamic brakes when going down hill, then you probably won't need as much trainline brake.
to bail off with the raildriver, push the independent brake lever to the right.
Pretty cool game!! Like I said in previous videos, I would use dynamic brakes on the downhill sections. Use a minimum set as needed to keep as much air as possible for emergencies. When using dynamic brakes, be careful of draft forces when transitioning into power.
Not sure if the game has dynamic brakes but should.
When two or more trains pass each other we call it a meet so that what the intro was talking about and great video as always
I remember when u played this a while ago
I am happy to see train sim world 2 back on the channel
Hi Jeff hope you are enjoying your day love the videos keep up the good work
Awesome video Jeff! Was super excited when TSW2 dropped some vintage USA content.
Don’t forget to ALWAYS bail-off when you’re using the automatic brake (except on passenger trains, or if you’re engine light) otherwise it ruins the brake shoes prematurely. I get that it’s a game but i’m only commenting if you want to add more realism 😉
Just watched your last train sim vid and was sad because you hadn't made one in a while. God is on my side today
Am I the only person to notice the 43% independent brakes applied Right up to 27:16
His brakes would have been just dust after those speeds and all that throttle. Oh man. Coming from an actual rail conductor, you wouldn’t be using independent brake at those speeds anyways just automatic and dynamic braking if it’s equipped
I know you own incentives to make the videos, but thank you. They help me get ready for bed or just to chill out. Perfect.
Always good to see you running trains, Jeff! Hopefully we'll see you playing Run 8 some day
Run 8 is too in depth and out of date for me
I am about 30 minutes from this route. Photographed several trains along the line. Hopefully, CSX will run the Santa Train this year. 2021
You somehow make simple simulation games interesting and riveting with your commentary absolutely love the content Jeff thanks for the regular uploads!
1:11 if you push it towards the light switches it will do the bail off
Jeff, i think this DLC worth is on the F7 CRR cause there is a surviver of Clinchfield locomotive in USA which is Clinchfield 800
The smile on your face that would periodicly pop up convinced me your were having sincere fun and placed a purchase order for a RailDriver. Thank you. More train content!
We also need TrackIR support for this game!
The caboose was great!
My Man, It's Jeff turn to be A Conductor. And that is so cool.
Jeff, you almost are updating your newest new thing as the games come out brand new! Life is G OO D.
Clinchfield is a huge track map too.
I'm a big time rail fan, have actually seen a UP big boy, etc. You should do some steam locomotive stuff on train sim world 2
NEC Boston-Providence is coming soon this summer along with a Union Pacific Utah route coming soon to
I got TS2021 and they got ClinchField as default and the first mission is the first place you spawned but it has way more hills as in TSW 2 would send your engine into the shops
Man have I been in the mood to watch you play this game. Almost requested an update too!
I’m from Erwin Tennessee a big railroad town from the clinchfield heck I even have a headlight from an old challenger they scrapped down there. Also look up Mary the epiphany sad to say but my town is famous for hanging an elephant 😂
Would love to see more TSW2 gameplay on your channel. it's a shame you only have these three videos
Hey Jeff, you should definitely try out run 8 train sim v3. The routes are pretty much the same price as TSW but they are to scale. It takes hours and hours to travel across the map. Also, there is multiplayer. the physics are a lot more realistic as well.

A 5 engine power move for a relatively short and empty I think run is somewhat strange but freight trains can be like that sometimes
YES Please... I Wouldn't Mind Seeing More Of This Game.
Hey Jeff good to be back driving that train again and great episode and keep up the good work
The external sounds are amazing
I've actually switched from tsw an train simulator 20** an went to Run8 alot more realistic physics
Watching this while running the fully fueled scenario in sand patch grade. My train hasn't seen anywhere over 30mph.
Notification Squad.. how's it going jeff
I got my Rail Driver back in 2002 so happy i can use it again
I love your content and Happy Tuesday!
Train you in reverse
when you get wheel slip turn
on sand
Yeah I like to see more of the train simulator. Great video jeff
Hey Jeff great episode keep up the good work
also yea the horn glitch bug happens on consoles when running a route on sand patch grade as well only happens on the GE ACC400W loco
So for tunnels the locomotives actually have cab lights
It was a small tunnel
This is the content we need.
Whatupppp Jeff?? Hey don't know if it makes a difference, but I take the valve off 6\26 and put it on Lead. Seems to have more power that way. Peace Stay Up
Please do more of these train videos it fells realistic like your really there

Just wondering is it just yard switching your in only because it’s all I’ve been doing an I’m making no progress here I’m on the third one and it seem to be the same one here but am yes I did complete the other two yard switching and it’s just keeps putting me in GP-38’s
