I know, why couldn't they have gone into limited production, like 5,000, and see if people went for it. Concept fruitions like the Pacifica bombed, in Dodge's opinion, made them scaredy cats.
I agree with you, but that 1st yr for the Cruiser, sales were huge. I know a doctor who bought one and he was taking it to car shows and turning a lot of heads but it burned out as fast as it Rose.
Goes for everyone. Buick made a concept called the Avista that was GOREGEOUS. I’m not a fan of the new Camaro, but I could see myself owning that Buick. Same goes for the Cadillac Elmiraj
Actually, I essentially created my own "Dark Lord" version...and then Chrysler created their "black top" version. Pentastar 3.6L V-6, 6speed auto, cold-air intake, LED-interior lighting, plasma headlamps, custom brake rotors and ceramic brake pads...the car is similar in many ways to the "Stormtrooper" except mine is black...and faster.
The issue was the avenger was developed at the tail end of the Daimler era and if there was one thing Daimler hated was Chrysler making performance cars that could steal sales of "cheaper" Mercedes models. Also this around the time the RT badge was getting thrown on cars as a "luxury" trim package. The avenger should have been a Baby Charger/Magnum from day one but it took until the 2012 facelift for a legit Preformance variant to come out.
eunit08 it was a shame cause they did have the components to make it a competent entry level Preformance Sedan right out of the gate. Just drop the Double cam 3.5 from the 300M with its 255 HP and make it RWD.
Nicholas Cortez thats not bad numbers at all. Too bad the US car companies are only into predicting trends to even think about bringing back the cars they dropped or plan to drop. Cars like the magnum and the 300 and such I belive can make a strong return
I don’t know why! But i loved the Kahuna. I wish they can come out with a car that you don’t have to worry about the interior cleaning wise and scratch wise too. Maybe the Kahuna somewhat has that.
It was a cool idea, I kept staring at it but was intrigued haha. Yeah that interior seemed hard to damage, most cars already have cheap shitty interiors so may as well go that route where it’s so easy to clean and doesn’t get messed up easy
The problem wouldn't be the FWD, as there's the Honda Ridgeline, both Subarus and the soon-to-be released Hyundai Santa Cruz, on a Tucson platform (not for towing, but do the trick for the light duties many customers put in their trucks every day). Even Ford is rumored to be considering something of this nature, based on the new '19 Transit Connect / Escape / "Corsair" platform. It's the damn torque (believe it'd be 375 lb-ft), as there's no FWD tranny that would've taken that much w/o serious problems to the front suspension. A smaller engine, probably either version of the Pentastar NA-V6 at 3.2 and 3.6L or a FWD version of the new Hurricane (World Engine Gen 3) T-2.0L would've fit the bill nicely. I'm not talking about that era (there a tuned NA-3.5L V6 would've been the sane choice), but on today's market where FCA does need to get now into the midsize pickup truck NOW.
I don’t think that’s true. As the 5.7 Hemi has never been used in a FWD application and neither has the NAG1 5 speed. It would have required major tooling and differences with the drivetrain to be FWD that I don’t see even being a thought because it’s an inferior motive of powering the wheels in a truck.
Thanks for this interesting video. I had never heard of the Rampage, Maxxcab or Venom concepts. I personally like the Dodge Hornet and Tomahawk concepts. It’s hard to believe the Venom was based on the Cartoony looking Neon and rear wheel drive. I say it’s time that Dodge and Ram at least look back at these designs for some inspiration for new vehicles.
This is a pretty good selection of Dodge concepts, but one of my all time favorites was the Dodge Ram Power Wagon of 1999. I prayed that it would have been the next Ram production design, which would have been the 2nd generation after the 94 overhaul when they started using the flared fenders, which would have been the 2002 model, but I was horribly disappointed.
Definitely the Storm Trooper, it's not even close. You're right, the most beautiful Avenger any of us will ever see. I would have bought one of those instead of my Charger. It needed more power though. At least by today's standard. Today's 3.6 AWD system with 310 horsepower would be more than enough. Interesting it had a Borla exhaust. I have a Borla S Catback system on my Charger and just love it. Quiet when you want it to be, and really loud when you want it to be, no drone hardly at all, and it doesn't wake the neighbors on a cold start. It growls initially, but quiets right down. And best of all, it uses my stock tips so the exhaust won't fill up with water when it rains. Really nice. By the way, those PC's could be replaced with an App. Great video!
I really wish that Venom was made. It would have been a really cool used car and probably would have gone up in value, like a dodge version of the NSX.
The Storm Trooper sounds awesome. Just hearing about it made me fall in love with it. How this never made production is just sad. I would pay a premium for that.
I own an Avenger and I couldn't decide what to do with it and now I have ideas for mods, thanks to that Stormtrooper you showcased thanks bro you rock!
My parents had a 2011 avenger heat edition. It had the 3.6 v6 and it made around 283 horsepower. I'm curious as to why they didn't use that unless it was only the 3.7 at that time
Marspeed That's what a good video takes is research and time it makes you stand out from the rest, keep on doin brother. Always look forward to learning new things.
If the avenger was RWD, had leather seats and dodge had found some way to incorporate the rear screen into the center console instead of on a stick. i’d totally put in for one if they were around. Really ahead of its time and a truly cool ride.
I really don’t get why they didnt release the avenger storm trooper, i love that car thinking of buying just a regular avenger and building it up to a storm trooper
That storm trooper 😍👍🏼 Hey cool channel man I see your into dodge me I own a 87 Dakota 06 Durango and a 14 caravan 😏👍 but I don't know why they stop making the caravan 🤔
I could just imagine if the Avenger Storm Trooper Edition would have been painted black. Call it the Darth Vader Edition. All the same futures as the Storm Trooper Edition but in black instead. I'd buy that in a heartbeat!!!!!
Glad they didn't do the Rampage as shown,I think there's hope for it if they go closer to the small pick up they had,Maxxcab I didn't like. The third one may have made it in a future year.Nice on the Venom, but glad they didn't do it. The last one I probably would have bought. The front end was awesome and the seats. Not sure about the rest of the inside.
Why does Dodge and Chrysler do this... They always make these super cool concept cars, and then they come out with dogshit like the PT cruiser.
lol :)
I know, why couldn't they have gone into limited production, like 5,000, and see if people went for it. Concept fruitions like the Pacifica bombed, in Dodge's opinion, made them scaredy cats.

Magnum
I want a stormtrooper. Wow. They should have brought it out.
It was actually so nice, totally changed the avenger game. Shoulda had a stormtrooper or SRT-6 Avenger from the start
Marspeed I'd love a srt-6 of my car. I think they couldn't because of fwd. Unless they redesigned the 62te tranny
Wasn’t the stormtrooper a SEMA ONE-off body kit?
Just buy a 2017 white toyota rav4 and you've got one right there
Actually, I essentially created my own "Dark Lord" version...and then Chrysler created their "black top" version. Pentastar 3.6L V-6, 6speed auto, cold-air intake, LED-interior lighting, plasma headlamps, custom brake rotors and ceramic brake pads...the car is similar in many ways to the "Stormtrooper" except mine is black...and faster.
Mam, that Avenger was ahead of its time. So badass
It sure had some sweet tech, and mods that people actually want too! That car woulda put the Avenger on the map
The issue was the avenger was developed at the tail end of the Daimler era and if there was one thing Daimler hated was Chrysler making performance cars that could steal sales of "cheaper" Mercedes models. Also this around the time the RT badge was getting thrown on cars as a "luxury" trim package. Nicholas Cortez yea it sucks that they didnt live up to the potential I thought they would have
eunit08 it was a shame cause they did have the components to make it a competent entry level Preformance Sedan right out of the gate. Just drop the Double cam 3.5 from the 300M with its 255 HP and make it RWD.

That Stormtrooper Avenger concept looked pretty badass
Mopar really missed a huge opportunity by not putting that car into production
The avenger has to be the best looking vehicle on this list
I agree! totally love that car, they modded it so perfectly
Avengers are a twin of a Charger but avengers are littler
I don’t know why! But i loved the Kahuna. I wish they can come out with a car that you don’t have to worry about the interior cleaning wise and scratch wise too. Maybe the Kahuna somewhat has that.
It was a cool idea, I kept staring at it but was intrigued haha. Yeah that interior seemed hard to damage, most cars already have cheap shitty interiors so may as well go that route where it’s so easy to clean and doesn’t get messed up easy
freenwl The Kahuna had some really interesting ideas behind it's conception, but it kinda looks like it would've been a bit of a Death trap
That Stormtrooper Avenger would of been nice to have. Perfectly modded Like you said.
The fact that the rampage wouldve been fwd bothers me
Why? I think fwd is normal
Barcelona Rush it is normal honestly but not normal in trucks
Tbh, I seen a truck with FWD, here it is ruclips.net/video/Byhix-YrPEM/видео.html (do not take this seriously tho)
The problem wouldn't be the FWD, as there's the Honda Ridgeline, both Subarus and the soon-to-be released Hyundai Santa Cruz, on a Tucson platform (not for towing, but do the trick for the light duties many customers put in their trucks every day). Never been a fan of the avenger but that one is bad ass
Thanks for this interesting video. I had never heard of the Rampage, Maxxcab or Venom concepts. I personally like the Dodge Hornet and Tomahawk concepts. I say it’s time that Dodge and Ram at least look back at these designs for some inspiration for new vehicles.
The Stormtrooper Avenger and Venom are mechanical love....
The ball was definitely dropped with these two.
Stormtrooper and venom
They’re my top 2 favorites as well. Woulda liked to have seen both, they both have nice looks and solid performance
For the StormTrooper, I think Chrysler's bankruptcy and the Chrysler 200 nixed that from reality.
The venom looks like a viper gone wrong
My favorite has to be the Avenger
Jonathan Magness they have released the avenger I know someone who has on
Nvm I’m dumb
That Rampage concept is badass, imagine if they added off road shocks and the Viper's V10 🤯
💡Sooo the 2018 escalade tailights were inspired by Chrysler's Kahuna concept? Anyone else see what I see 👀
This is a pretty good selection of Dodge concepts, but one of my all time favorites was the Dodge Ram Power Wagon of 1999. I prayed that it would have been the next Ram production design, which would have been the 2nd generation after the 94 overhaul when they started using the flared fenders, which would have been the 2002 model, but I was horribly disappointed.
I’m ready to buy the avenger and the venom I love the slick look
Wait really?
I love the stormtrooper that thing looks like a beast they should’ve released it
you can also buy a car and customize it to look just like that!
What's with concept cars and massive rims?
Venom became intrepid and prowler.
can you do jeep concept cars?
Yes for sure, I wanna do Chrysler and eventually Jeep after that
I love Jeeps! Thank you @Marspeed! Just subscribed today!
Definitely the Storm Trooper, it's not even close. You're right, the most beautiful Avenger any of us will ever see. I would have bought one of those instead of my Charger. Venom was ahead of its time in the 90s! Nice car! I think it would have made big also.
Maxxcab was a nice sporttrac alternative..btw these vids are a retro blessing.. thank you
I really wish that Venom was made. It would have been a really cool used car and probably would have gone up in value, like a dodge version of the NSX.
This is so true, it’s too bad they didn’t capitalize on it. They would have been a hot sale back in the day and now too
I'd rather have the Venom over a Challenger any day, Especially if it weighed less
The Storm Trooper sounds awesome. Just hearing about it made me fall in love with it. How this never made production is just sad. I would pay a premium for that.
Love the Rampage
I own an Avenger and I couldn't decide what to do with it and now I have ideas for mods, thanks to that Stormtrooper you showcased thanks bro you rock!
The Venom might as well be a RWD Dodge Intrepid Coupe.
The rampage definitely should've come out!
My parents had a 2011 avenger heat edition. It had the 3.6 v6 and it made around 283 horsepower. I'm curious as to why they didn't use that unless it was only the 3.7 at that time
The Interior of the Rampage is way too cool :D
I watched your other two parts of the series and I loved it! part 3 is even better
Thanks man means a lot! Put a lot of effort into this one! Glad you’re liking the series
Part 4? Love these vids, sum of my favorites
The Venom looks like the Charger Concept car
Seth Minskey thanks man! Hell yeah gonna keep it going for sure, they just take time and research to make!
Marspeed
That's what a good video takes is research and time it makes you stand out from the rest, keep on doin brother. Always look forward to learning new things.
Loved them all but the Stormtrooper avenger I want that wow nice
That new rampage is dope
I can't be the only one who sees C5 Corvette and 1991-92 Firebird inspiration in that Venom. The designer must've been a closeted GM fan.
My sister has a Dodge Avenger SXT with the 2.4L engine. It's been a been reliable and great vehicle, even after 10yrs of ownership.
The wheels on the Kahuna look like VW Beetle wheels and the Stormtrooper was my favorite!
Highkey loved the rampage
I remember a friend's brother who is in s wheelchair really, really wanted the Rampage to become a production truck.
It was a nice concept, would have been useful for owners
The venom is like the ghost of viper coming for you. The avenger was really nice looked mean.
I feel the rampage would've been very successful to compete with chevy avalanche specially if it was 4x4
The stormtrooper is sick!
That avenger looks clean af.. But they should make wheel color options. White and black
That woulda been a sick idea
Marspeed It honestly would be a sick idea lol
Dude...just paint them
The rampage seemed pretty cool I see what they tried to do with the earlier version of the rampage like a ford ranchero or el Camino
The rampage looks sharp
I would call the Venom a Viperishi Dodgeclipse. Looks badass.
I like the Dodge Venom and the Dodge Avenger Stormtrooper☺
Rampage had alot of good concepts.. they should put the tailgate onto a ram. Make putting 4 wheelers/bikes in the bed alot easier
I was thinking to myself the Venom wasn't that bad until I saw it had a V6. That Avenger is awesome though, looks like a SEMA build.
Venom has a 2nd gen Stratus coupe look to it. The tailgate of the Kahuna has a 2008 Minivan look to it. Stormtrooper is a JC Whitney body kit.
Storm trooper 😍
If the avenger was RWD, had leather seats and dodge had found some way to incorporate the rear screen into the center console instead of on a stick. i’d totally put in for one if they were around. Really ahead of its time and a truly cool ride.
I really don’t get why they didnt release the avenger storm trooper, i love that car thinking of buying just a regular avenger and building it up to a storm trooper
That avenger was gorgeous
The Avenger Stormtrooper would have been so cool. It was so ahead of its time
That avenger stormtrooper would've been saught after today
The maXXcad looks happy 😃
I always wanted the copperhead, it was just a beautiful car to me, the venom is pretty dope to
That storm trooper 😍👍🏼
Hey cool channel man I see your into dodge me I own a 87 Dakota 06 Durango and a 14 caravan 😏👍 but I don't know why they stop making the caravan 🤔
Idk why they stopped the Town and Country
The Venom looks like a warmed over Gen 1 Avenger, which were good looking cars
I think it would be sick for the avenger stormtrooper to come out now. This car would be a PERFECT competor to the Subaru WRX/STi.
definitely the Stormtrooper 😈😈😈
The venom is pretty awesome. I would totally buy one
The front end of the Maxxcab looks like the 2008+ Grand Caravan
Nice video bro
Thanks man! Had fun making it
“A truck for people who don’t like trucks” because you know what people who don’t like trucks need? A truck!
The avenger looks so cool. Imagine if that was a stanced car
I'm not at all mechanically inclined but could you take a FWD 80s Rampage and put an engine in the bed attached to the rear wheels?
Some of these concepts look really cool wired but cool something different from others
They should bring back the stealth and you should do a video on it as well
How did I miss this. They should bring back the avenger
Love your videos man!
I would definitely rock the Rampage
As a dodge fan and magnum owner ,I like dodges unique design that stand from and above the rest other brand
The avenger should come out on production it looks sick and could be a budget JDM styled American car
The Stormtrooper should b produced. That is one beautiful looking auto
That kahuna was actually a really clever idea and I might have got one just to say what the hell
that 06 Rampage could be good actually
Darn the Dodge Avenger has an eye catching look
I could just imagine if the Avenger Storm Trooper Edition would have been painted black. Call it the Darth Vader Edition. All the same futures as the Storm Trooper Edition but in black instead. I'd buy that in a heartbeat!!!!!
I want that Rampage.
The Dodge rampage reminds me of the Ford Explorer sport Trac
They should've had a Sportrac before Ford if they switched the Rampage concept to RWD on a JGC platform.
Venom all the way and the Avenger Storm Trooper would have also been a hit.
I like the Venom in The Stormtrooper the Stormtrooper was awesome and should have built it
i wish they would have made the 6x6 Ram TRex (thats not in the 3 videos but I remember it ;) )
Awesome video
I actually like the rampage. It could still be used for a Tacoma competitor.
The back of the rampage looks like the honda ridgeline
storm trooper definitely would’ve been popular
Rampage demon would be sweet, just less typical a body design.
That Dodge Stormtrooper is the shit, I would have bought one!
First and last were the best
The Venom looks like a Charger from the late 90's and or early 2000's
That storm trooper should have been made that would have sold big in my opinion
The front of the MaXXcab looks so much like the Magnum.
