Hey what's up
Hey what's up
Hey there
I remember being blown away when going to Mexico in the game. It was a masterpiece of narrative and music.
Love how a lot of people instantly know which game you're talking about
@@MrSchmerzen98 which game
this song gives me chills same with the game
Best game to ever be created
I remember destroying my experience, it started playing while entering mexico, and i didn't know it was coming from the game, and paused the game to see if it was indeed from the game, and the game bugged afterwards and it stoped playing the music lmao
You're playing RDR
And you just entered Mexico
Life's good.
In which way your life is good!? You're working for federals because they kidnapped your family and you need to back to your back life because of some damn Edgar Ross!
Much better when you enter during a thunderstorm
@@uncreative4497 For me the sun was just rising after the crazy river gun fight at night...... it took my breath away.

Goddamn, I forgot where I found this wonderful music. I knew it's kinda western, thank you for this comment
Entering México....
Joao Oliveira hell yes brother
It was one of my favorite moments, the music made the moment.
A truly unforgettable experience in all the games I've ever played. I still smile remembering that moment, so engrossed in the game I WAS John. Riding into Mexico, driven by revenge, a need to see this through no matter the outcome. Even if I lie beneath the dirt at the end of it all, I would set the world right. A truly fantastic gaming memory, one of my favorites.
During sunrise...
"I'm looking for Javier Escuella"
I live next to the Mexican border irl, and I make it a personal tradition to play this tune to myself every time I cross
Bro played rdr irl
Mad respect friend. Bonus points if you try it on horseback one day

Thats fucking awsome.

Fell in love with this song instantly when I heard it in my favorite movie, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" - Was playing through RDR earlier today and when this song came on as I entered new territory, my jaw dropped to the floor. They couldn't have picked a better song. This song is PERFECT!
Had this playing in my earpiece while riding my motorcycle last week at sunset. It was the most surreal thing...
Just one of those special occasions in time where it feels like every moment is complementing each other, creating such a unique blend of different emotions.
This song is how I feel about love. I'm 22 and I've never dated anyone. As a result I've gotten attached to fictional characters to hide that feeling
@@thatonefpsgamer1339unfortunately sometimes the feeling doesn’t change even when you do fall in love forreal. I’m going through the worst breakup of my life and damn does this song still resonate so deeply. Hopefully your pain isn’t as severe and love is kinder to you than it’s been me.
Now, I'm drinking some cheap vodka in any fucking city of Turkey. It's cold outside. I'm sitting in the kitchen and trying to escape from myself, my mind, past; and I dream about far places, I dream about a good future. This song make me feel both hopeful and sad. Really, love your music. I can say that with all my sincerity.
Good luck my friend
Hope you're doing well now :(
Same here I come to this song for the exact same reason my guy hope everything works out for you keep ya head up
The future is but an idea... the moment is the key... love and blessings to you... without sadness and pain we would not know joy and pleasure... it’s all relative to your perspective.
I feel I am doing the same things here in a fucking city of Argentina. Not with cheap vodka right now, but deffinitely with the escaping-self action. Share your feelings on this song, and maybe even on life and the randomness of it. Cheers to all, and remember, life is this one only.
i finished both games many times but i just cant tell you how much goosebumps i get everytime i enter mexico on this song , arthus was an awesome man but for me john was a legend.
And now I know, the only compass that I need!
The songs in rdr just hit harder.
Far Away hits even harder after all the events of RDR2.
It symbolizes how lonely John really was at that time.
Fitting for a tired and weary John Marston riding to Mexico aching for Redemption and a normal life with his Wife and Son.
RIP John
"Blessed are the peacemakers"
one of the best songs ever written, send it up into space.
what a treat to hear it on RDR another masterpiece
WELCOME TO MEXICO AMIGO!!!
A very underrated artist. He's so incredibly talented and soulful. He and has so much to say!♥️♥️♥️
I can't stop thinking about the future, and how i am getting closer to take some rough decisions in my life. Some months ago, life looked so simple yet so perfect. But now, i have to get ready for incoming changes and new stuff i will have to face in order to get a better future for myself. This song represents the feeling i get when i think about it all perfectly, and i can't stop listening to it. Wish me luck, RUclips folks, i will need it.
See you on the flipside cowboy.
I hope you are doing better now brother
The guitar is my favorite instrument in this song.

I found this by chance. After listening to the first 20 seconds I can feel tears down my eyes.. Don't know why, but it so gets me. It's a music that gives me hope and sadness, at the same time in a really strong way.
You should play the video game Red Dead Redemption that this was created for. Then the sequel Red Dead Redemption II

Everyone is talking about red dead redemption, and while the game is a masterpiece, how about we talk about how incredible this song is? The themes, pacing and lyrics are really relatable to a lot of people
Yeah but this song is mainly about John marston that’s why we all mention him
@@kys335 pretty sure this was apart of a separate album before rdr
@@ASmartNameForMe what album
@@kys335 huh, so after a bit more research I realised that it was actually released as a single in 2010 shortly before rdr came out, but seeing as the song had to have existed a while before that if it was in the game then yeah it probably was actually made for the game.
I was under the impression that since the song was released on its own it wasn’t a part of the ost
@@ASmartNameForMe God damn I love rockstar sometimes. They did the same thing with GTA IVs music, vagabond is about Niko but the song is just so great on it's on, they have a lot of like "freestyles" and "rap battles" mixed into the best too that aren't jokes but are done as if by people from the world of GTA . God damn GTA IV just so good period. Jesus Christ I love GTA V but GTA IV is part of my fucking soul
Red Dead redemption gave me good memories... The good ol' memories...
This is gonna sound really sappy.
When I visited my family in Mexico I couldn’t help but play this on my cars speakers as I crossed the border. I was far from home but also not really. But it was my first time being on my own so far away from home. I get a double hit of nostalgia when I hear this song since I immediately think of the family members I got to meet who were so loving and welcoming and thinking back to this game with a tragic but beautiful story of seeking redemption and the lengths we go to for those we love.
Jose esto es una pieza de arte, te hace transportarte a otra epoca, no puedo describir con palabras la añoranza que me hace sentir esta canción. Simplemente voy a beberme un trago y fumarme un cigarro mientras escucho esta obra maestra.

Will always be incredible. Thank you so much for this incredible music.
These beautiful tunes invited me to dance 💃
This song is in my opinion so poetical because you can give multiple meanings.
Just with few verse and such a melodic guitar sound it expresses a lot of feelings.
For me it’s like a picture of an ideal world which is too far away from the one we’re living in:
our life and world are like a night in which we walk through in a state of numbness with a blurry sight and an aching chest unknown of any truth or of what will happen next.
When we see all the bad things that happen because of mankind (who constantly recreat a mess) everything seems so hopeless and “far away” from something really good and pure.
To feel alive and escape from this numbness sometimes we must risk everything like stepping in front of the death (like a train).
The same could be applied to the game Red Dead Redemption.
Rest In Peace, John Marston.
You were an angry and a feck ugly man, but not a bad one.

Very impressive that they would make an entire wild western game just so this song could have an absolutely perfect moment playing in a video game

Legendary Song! #RDR 🐎
So beautiful! Also I like the videos of the b-sides a lot. Nice animations and those flipped videos are really cool. Great mood!
Quite a beautiful song, it's what I listen to before I fall asleep in my car in California dreaming of Washington, but need the pass by law because probation, I'm not gonna run. I'll face what's coming to me...
