I did this once before and it didn't come out how I liked but I still wore it. I don't think I crossed over right. Thanks for sharing this video, I am going to try it again.
Think I'll try this on an old pair of trousers. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us
You're welcome.
Best instructions on the web, hands down! Thanks!!
Beautiful skirt !! I will turn all my jeans into the skirt !!!!!!!
Kool Beanz!

You’re welcome 😊
Glad I could help.
What an amazing tutorial. Easy to understand and I love the short cuts i didn't know about. Kudos to you ❤
Great details! I made a skirt a few days ago from old jeans & a camoflouage thermal shirt.
Sound cute...thanks for watching.
Excellent! Best instruction I have seen online on this technique. Been looking for a tutorial like this for ages. You need your own show!
+Cara Harpole Glad you found my tutorial.
Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for! I am transitioning from wearing pants to wearing skirts. I didn't want to get rid of perfectly good pants. I love the way you did the panel in the middle. It is so hard to find modest denium skirts in stores. Quite often they will be long enough, but a have a huge slit in the back. Your description on how do to this project was clear and well described. I am going to take a look at your other videos! Keep doing what you are doing!
This is a good way to look at order to do this project. I hand stitched mine oh brother, but other than that you are right and I had fun watching this video. You have a great and blessed day. 🙏
this is the first refashioning video I was able to follow and do. Thank you so much!
+Maryam Norrington Aaawwhhh...thanks for the nice comment and for watching.

This is really a great way to recycle jeans. It is even cuter when you do a pair of bibs like this and make a jumper. Did this year's ago lots of fun.
Trayne1837 I'm sure they were cute!

Wooow u did a great job , and u are a great teacher aswell
+Mary irl Aaawwwhhh...thank you for the nice comment!
I agree
I touch them up, but I take them to the local repair shop for the big sharpening.. Hi Martha, you can add gussettes to each side to give her the fabric that she needs. I cut my gussettes in a triangle style especially if no fabric is needed in the waist. Hope this helps...thanks for asking!
Niler
Excellent video, Thank heavens on music playing so I could hear you while you where talking!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I followed your lead and made a really cute skirt for Homecoming at my church! We are having a college theme. Now I have a skirt to compliment my alma mater T shirt! AGGIE PRIDE!

That was fun to watch. I have seen jean skirts done that way before and wondered how I could change the design some. Lace inserts would be fun too. You make it look so easy.

This is by far the best tutorial on YT; I have watched several but this one makes me feel confident to do a sew along. I like how you didn't veer off into any stories or forget that your were recording. I'm trying this soon and will let you know what I come up with! Great job~ Thumbs up definitely
I know exactly what you mean. I hate it when creators give a lonnnnng drawn out story about "nothing". I never want my videos to be like that. I'm so glad that you see my videos as straight forward and to the point. Thanks so much for watching and for the very nice comment!
I'm so new to sewing...and I love how you explain things so well. I'm looking forward to starting projects. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos.

You're right ,happy sewing. Well I'm getting ready to go in my closet and get all of the jeans I can't wear anymore and reverse them into skirts. Thank you for the tutorial. I would like to thank my grandma and my 8th grade teacher, teaching me how to sew on a sewing machine
Cool...you too! I also thank my 8th grade teacher as well who introduced me to sewing and I'm so grateful to her!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Your video showed exactly what you need to do! I started this project without looking anything up and became confused as how to sew the seams. I’ve had my Jean to skirt project sitting for 6 months!!! And tomorrow I’m going to finish it! Tara 😊

Thank you for this video, was looking for something creative my daughter and I could do with some of her old jeans that still fit her in the waist but are coming up her ankles. I think I will have a "sewing party" and invite a few of her friends over with their jeans to transform into skirts and do a lil fashion show afterwards. You made the steps and process so easy to follow. THANK YOU!
You are so welcome. Thanks so much for sharing and also for the "sewing party" tip. I'll have to keep that one in my for my friends also. Happy Sewing!

Maryann Lamille You're welcome...thanks for watching.
I’m impressed. You did a really great job! I’ve seen many ppl try this and it always looks so funky! Yours actually is the nicest I’ve ever seen and would actually wear this myself. That’s saying a lot for me bc I wouldnt be caught dead in all the other ones! They added really nice material the whole 9 yards but they could drip their projects in gold , if it looks lousy it looks lousy no mater how they TRYYYY to dress it up🤣😂🤣
LOL Roxy...I agree. The fabric choice will not make the end result look good if the construction is bad...I'm just saying! Thank you so much for your nice and honest comment..Happy Sewing!
Yes you can if the denim is wide enough.
You are just awesome. God bless you.
Awesome, ill be doing this to the same black pair im wearing now. Lol
Cool...you're going to love your finish product. Happy Sewing!
Thank you so much for the thread trick.

You are so welcome...thanks so much for watching! Happy Sewing!
Wonderful thank you for sharing ...
Hi Dee, thanks for your question. A lot of times I will sew over the pins, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! The reason I do not, is because if you are not skilled enough to know "how" to sew over the pins, they can break a needle and send the pieces into your eye. Please remove the pin just before you start to sew over a particular section, as a safety precaution. Hope this has been helpful...Happy Sewing!
I was just asking the same thing, because I was pulling my jeans and other capris out of my closet and ,due to the weight loss thank you Jesus I can turn my stuff into skirts now yay. I Google it to see how to turn pants and capris into skirts and your video came up thank you for the tutorial I know I said that in the beginning
You're so welcome..
Thank you, Ms. Niler. :-) Great tips, as always. God bless.:)
