7. 1996 world cup is the only tournament in which both finalists despite being in the same group never faced each other in earlier stages of the tournament. Australia did not go to sri lanka for its pool game due to security reasons and sri lanka was given 2 default points

Australia 2015 and England 2019
on those days sachin was the lone warrior
Mark Waugh _ what a Gem he is. Wisdon polls rated one of greatest all time one day batsman along with Sir Viv, Sachin, Dean jones, Arvinda and Lara.
If australia plan well then they could win 1996 world cup
Great footage and before my time as a cricket fanatic is brilliant to see the cricket of old , back when 250 was a great par score to set. Compared to this era of 300 being as par scores. Brilliant
Whenever i watch these matches i see Sachin scores mostly but then the captain azhar fails always& not only him even rest of batters. It was basically a one man show that time.
What about other batsman dravid never scored odi century against Australia. Ganguly was scared to play against them he had good aerial shots but rarely played against aus.
Golden era of Cricket
India maintained Run rate.
Last 17 runs from 13 balls with 1 Wicket
See the average of the hare 🐇 Michael Bevan , 75 :O .. such a legend he was !
Bevan used to come at 4 or 5 down. Most of the times he used to score few quick runs and stay not out. Hence such a great average.
84 balls for 90 runs👌
सचिन तेडुलकर Best performance
Indian team was a nightmare from 90-2000 untill Mr Saurav Ganguly came on the Horizon as a captain
Both teams ended up getting beaten by Aravinda De Silva heroics. That guy was just built different damn. 4 Kings of the 90s - Lara, De Silva, Tendulkar and Jayasuriya.
The Waugh's were the kings of the 1990's
@@BulldogDynasty if everyone's a king then no one's a king lol. Waugh's were good but a tier below Lara, Aravinda and Tendulkar. Aravinda single handedly won a world cup with this semi final inning and being the only man in WC history to score unbeaten century during a WC final chasing. +3 wickets bowling in the final. No comparison.
1996 world cup -India campaign was fully driven by Sachin..no one else in team had the intent to play .he never got support from his teammates
Legends....now India is not even close to Zimbabwe of that era...
.
Moral of the story...
Don't compare Virat with Sachin..
Sachin is the only legend who has to play all matches even in semi finals he played 👏 sensational innings and later on everybody collapsed and also bowlers were good but I thing the team which we had in 2003 and 2011 is the best because we have many problems in that team like prabhakar and also don't underestimate our indian team if we give chances to some players we can come good and of course virat is a great player and sachin is a legend comparing with sachin is useless
@@sunithasivakumar6761 U Left Sachin also Bowled SO well in Many Game Delhi game He contained well along with ANil and Brought us Back sadly we lost that game , ZIm Game he bowled crucial 6 overs and contained Zim Semifinals he was most economical bowler of our team in that game !!!
Those days Indian batting line up was so weak that even Kumble comes at Number 7/8
Damien Fleming was the reason to defeat India..what a player!!
Mongia was a great wicket keeper very clever alert
Kohli had Rohit, Dhoni , Dhawan for backup even if he fails .
but sachin was one man army
Only depends Sachin that time India's 😢😢😢
Childhood memories really miss those days....................... our family mama and papa are with me.....
Jadeja .kambli and azhar is resposible for this lost.
