I don't understand why you would show an almost ten minute video on opening the box, putting the batteries in and charging.... Why wouldn't you show how to use them??? That would be helpful.
Communication is so important to stay safe these days. I'd feel much safer camping and hiking with my family if we had these. I also love the weather updates! These look so handy.
Thank you. I live in the mountains off grid and the AA batteries are a must. If you could remove a battery pack for 10 minutes then re-install it, I would love to hear about the results. Thank you.
I live in the mountains too but the rechargeables work great. I am glad you took a chance and purchased them and found they meet your needs. Thank you for watching.
Just bought a couple of T2XX from the local hardware store. Phone service in our area is pretty good with our new phone, but no service at all with my old flip phone. These radios worked flawlessly all around this lake area, in the hills and other side of the brook. That covers about 70 acres but it is all heavily wooded but also fairly level. Guessing the elevation changes by a couple of hundred feet as you get closer to the lake. I don’t think my model (200) has the weather channel which would be nice. Maybe it does and I just read the instructions wrong. Wouldn’t be the first time. Stay safe.
Excellent bits of kit Motorola radios are always good we use the Motorola t.80 extremes and the t.82 extremes no problem on hill to hill we've had 30+ miles no problem microphones are very sensitive which is good on long distance conversations....great review.....
I am planning on using AA batteries. I would like to know if and when you remove the AA batteries for about ten minutes then replace them does the radio remember it's settings..??
I am not sure why you would want to change the rechargeable batteries. I have not tried it without the rechargeable batteries. I am not sure what to tell you, if I have an opportunity, I can try it when I have time and let you know. I would just use the rechargeable batteries but that is my opinion.

Thank you for the excellent review. I took a chance and bought a set. They do remember the settings when changing batteries. So far so good, thanks again...:)
I am so glad to hear that. Thank you for letting me and others know that if you disposable batteries the units will remember the settings when changing. Best of luck with the talkabout. Thanks again for watching.
That are great but thay said it would work for about 22 miles but not true thay work only for a 1 mile..And we use them in a ranch where I work... That's what I did not like

yes very needed as phones will not work in the woods that well
Take the belt clip off first, it makes doing the batteries much easier.
Thanks for the tip!!!
Wonderful review! Glad you did it from the start. Knowing that you can do those types of batteries makes a difference! Thank you!

You can take that black handle off to make adding batteries easily.

You can also say it the way I said. I do both, and both are correct. Thanks for your thoughts.
