The tragedy of daredevil is as a lawyer, youre ultimate goal is truth, and having the ability to always know when someones lying or not, but also not being able to prove it, added to people not trusting his powers of perception because hes blind is just sad. that alone would be a curse
It does make it easier to prove it, though, because you may learn that there are others you should interrogate about the case, peple they mention where you can tell the person is lying about what they did or said etc.
You would commit suicide by the week, Why!? Because Matt was Chosen by Destiny to be the hellskitchen's Devil. You would go mental from all the flood of data, it'd fry you. Sorry Quarentine blues.
I'm just thinking, it must be really hard to date that guy. Imagine you plan a really nice Birthday party, and he's asking you where you are going. Even if you do lie, he'll know. Gosh, what a nightmare !
If they ever make a Daredevil videogame, they should add interrogations like these where Matt Murdock can hear the suspect's heart whether he is telling the truth or not. A bit like a random L.A Noire thing, you know?
This frame job Karen has to go through in episode 1 really hits harder after her origin story episode. She’s in Hell’s Kitchen after she unintentionally caused her brother to die, and now as she is trying to leave that life behind and even meeting new friends, in one night she looses a new chance at a nice relationship and has the wound of her being blamed for someone else’s death be reopened, and this time it wasn’t even her fault. No wonder she becomes Hell bent on making Fisk pay
Even just the whole act of killing Wesley takes on a different light. The Karen of the flashback only shot Todd once to force him to stop hurting Kevin. The Karen of season 1 empties an entire gun into James Wesley to prevent him from harming her friends.
I think it's stupid that we're expected to believe that if someone's heart is beating really fast that it means they're lying. Maybe they're telling the truth but are afraid no one will believe them.
StikWitClassics It's not just about how believable it is, or how realistic or unrealistic it is, because it is meant to be an artistic representation, one that is effective in terms of storytelling and conveys the message on screen, without over-complicating it with too many specific visual and audio cues.
StikWitClassics maybe it's not just about the heart beating fast, maybe it has a specific fast beat that daredevil recognizes given his super enchanced senses but they left that info out. it's like NorekXtreme said : conveying the message without over-complicating it for us to understand
StikWitClassics They touched on this issue in the comics. In the Mark Waid 'Son of the Serpents' story, Matt can't tell who are scared hostages, and who are disguised attackers (further complicated by the fact that the Serpents are racially-driven and he can't tell someone's ethnicity without sight). I think it's a matter of context. In this scene, he notices Karen's heart rate spike only when he mentions certain things. He phrases it carefully, elaborating his theory gradually, gauging her reaction as he goes; the rest is inference, but it's a logical supposition to make, based on her series of reactions. Remember, this is a man who lives his whole life deducing the missing details between the gaps in his perception; I guess this isn't so different :)
agofficial1 already did, it's not there, well not in this form. the start of the "fogwell's gym" track has a version of this but it's not the same tune, it's missing a few things
What is this, And Yet people complain on Arrow Season 4 for being Magical and Mystical, yet here, Daredevil is Meant to be a ''Realistic Show'' yet he has Powers,
He doesn’t have powers, ever since he lost his sight which is the most useful sense of them all (not saying all the other ones aren’t needed) from his lack of sight he depended on his hearing, which over the years became his go to sense, we have sharp eyes he has sharp hearing, ya get me, now obviously some of the scenes are a little “exaggerated” but saying he has powers I wouldn’t call it a power
It is not super powers, first of all because of him losing his sight . His mind focus more or other remaining sense - smell, touch, taste, and hearing. All of this were increased to such a level that it can be considered superhuman, he then was trained by stich in his physical abilites, sense and martial arts. Last he has radar sense he use echo radar type of thingy with his other sense to help/support in which he could sense and see silhouettes of the thing around of him, so technically while it is normal, at least not in human conditions it is peak human So matt is master of Martial arts, has super sense, has peak human stats, and has a radar sense. All of this things make him a super hero.

@Kevin Byrnes Spider-man is a stretch. Burden, maybe, but definitely not a curse.

Could. Be an advantage imagine if you could detect truth how you could guide your life
It's not just the heartbeat, you can tell by her hesitation and nervous response that she's being deceptive.
well damn sherlock you solved the fucking case
Not sure if it's sarcasm or a compliment.
Dare devil
I knew someone was going to respond saying that. I was just referencing the Futurama meme.
but he is blind, genius
he cant SEE her hesitating.
I wasn't talking about him, I was talking about us the audience.
Found myself gasping more for Daredevil scenes than Agents of Shield scenes
Daredevil is much better, in my opinion.
Daredevil was better and now that Agents of Shield has decided to get rid of Ward, their only interesting character, DD is a hell of a lot better.
uncletaylorify such a wrong opinion
Same but for half of the MCU movies.
Same. I find Matt and several other characters in Daredevil more relatable, even some of the bad guys.
"You nodded" lmao
She lied to keep the people around her safe. That and the fact that she didn't know who she could trust at this point.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the beautiful lighting
Damn! if only i had such sharp hearing....

Matt was crying when he was a kid because of how loud everything was.

Lel.. and apparently he hasn't got a stable relationship in the show either.
He'd probably go along with the lie anyway cause he's such a nice guy
Louvie what you do is simply don’t make a yes or no answer, can’t lie if you don’t say anything
@@aaronkenyon7112 Yes, but even so there would be no point because it would be impossible to surprise him.
daredevil
Matt Murdock is the best lawyer that anybody could have.
good acting from her
Best cinematography i have ever seen
You don't have to read a heartbeat to tell she's lying...
He's blind
+Fahad Ahmed Is he deaf?
Well if he were he wouldn't be Daredevil
K August if he was deaf why would he be wearing those glasses
He kinda already knew all that. He just wanted to see if she'd confess.
I loved everything about this scene
why u always lying

The difference is that Arrow is terrible and this is the greatest comic book adaptation in any medium.
There's dead people being brought back to life in this show it's not meant to be realistic
