A fabulous comedian and a thoroughly decent man. I enjoyed his appearances on Mock the Week and his versatility is amazing. He and Mike Yarwood are top of the pile in terms of great impressionists. Keep up the good work Mr Bremner ❤ 😊
The accolade, genius, is often handed out as casually as the Brits hand out "gongs" for under achievers, but this man,Rory Bremner, is, a GENIUS.He rarely fails to get to the core of his "victim",(in the nicest possible way"),and I never tire of watching him perform. His Mandela and Frost are quite amazing. Please don't mention that odious creep Piers Morgan(I,m a Morgan, and thinking of changing my name),in the same sentence as the wonderful Rory Bremner.I really do like him.
i have to say I have never come across someone who manages to completely with ease manage to sound, and sometimes look like the people he is doing an impression of. Of course, his Tony Blair is fantastic, and I guess is the impression that he will always be remembered for, but that would be wrong to only remember Rory for his Tony Blair impressions, because he is so brilliant at all the impressions he does. What is also awesome about Rory Bremner is how he manages to get to the very core of the people he is doing impressions of, which makes him one of the world's greatest impressionists, if not the greatest. He is a very clever man and absoluely deserves all the success he has had in his life. There are very few people I say and think this about, but I would have loved to have known what it would have been like growing up in Rory's family because I feel sure he came from a very happy and close family.
I was at university with Rory Bremner in Germany. I spent a great deal of time with him, but never really got to know him because he was constantly - tediously, in fact - doing his bloody impersonations! He is undoubteldly a decent man, but I can tell you, when you're in a group of friends trying to enjoy a quiet drink and he takes over completely, it quickly becomes boring.
@MSM4U2POM You'll find that many of the top impersonators do.I saw Jan Ravens on an episode of QI,and she said there is this phenomenon called echolalia where people automatically repeat what someone has said which in a way related to impersonators not being able to help doing impressions. It's sad in a way because people also expect them and want them to do impressions when they talk to them, in the way people want actors to recite their favourite lines e.g. Arnie and 'I'll be back'.
From some of the comments here, it seems the art of satire is lost on todays generation. And the biggest bugger is I'm technically a part of that generation. Enjoy the clip for what it is. It's that simple, children.
Blongers1,you're very welcome!!! I have no problem with you disagreeing about Bremner being talented, but you are in the minority,as far as I can see. Your abuse was uncalled for however.
Since when were Ronnie Corbett, Geoff Boycott, Dale Winton, Bob Monkhouse, Barry Normal, Murray Walker, Terry Wogan, Bernard Manning or Bruce Forsyth politicians? One trick pony my arse!
no affence but brittish ppl do hav a better sence of humor than americans, as a nation not every1, but thats jst my opinion, an for goodness sake y post a comment that u no is goin 2 offend people
well, the US is really catching up quick with record timing, with what they did in south america, iraq, and who knows what comes next (my money is on Iran and n.korea) not to mention annihilating the indigenous people of the land you settled in- how do americans deal with that?
Im discussing it! So what about the tribal leaders that sold off there own tribe members as slaves would that be classed as crimes against humanity? But what about how the descendants of these slaves have benefited from there ancestors suffering if the afro-americans were an independent nation it would have the 10th highest GDP in the world not bad considering the alternative if they stayed where they were they they could have become actors in some nice Oxfam advert.
Britzie.. god how rich is that coming from an american, I thought you lot were the acceppting perfect country, face it your as bad as ours if not worse!
No, Rory Bremner is funnier and much more naturally funny. He just seems to be able to pluck jokes out of the top of his head, and as a confessed ADHD sufferer, perhaps sometimes that does actually happen with Rory Bremner.
Best impressionist ever! Deserves to be on TV

As casually as Yanks hand out graduation, even.

Love this. Obviously Parkinson is tickled by the David Frost joke. Knew him well obviously.
Impression of Mandela is brilliant
"Oh well I suppose I better put Nelson Mandella...."

I've often found people who complain of another being boring are themselves the ones with very little of interest to say.
the best

No anger there son just common sense and the joke you asked for.
Not sure what Rory Bremner or Parkinson have to do with the slave trade though.

Dead easy!

I am afraid that you were the first to resort to an ad hominem attack which is generally the preserve of the intellectual amoeba.
stop arguing!
exactly right tubelogin
What the fuck have the British paying reparations for slavery got to do with this?
Oi Oi oi! This is a comedy clip. For gods sake stop it. Enjoy your life. Fight elsewhere. Not here.
Britzie.. god how rich is that coming from an american, I thought you lot were the acceppting perfect country, face it your as bad as ours if not worse!
not as funny as jon culshaw
