Depends who you ask. Some people adore it, others don't care for it at all. I would recommend giving it a try. One thing that's for sure is that the music is awesome.
I've found that you make amazing covers of a lot of some of the best underappreciated videogame songs. It's so nice to finally find someone who does covers that aren't the same ones that everyone else does. these are seiously amazing, keep up the fantastic work! :D
Fantastic! I don't have sufficient words to describe how surprised I was at how you were able to capture the essence of the original and in some ways....dare I say.....and perhaps this is just my love for 8bit renditions speaking....but the sound at times surpasses the original style. You did Nobuo Uematsu proud! Stunning work! I need to see your repertoire like right this instant!!
Didn't get far in FFVII, so I don't remember much of the music very well. Still, the fact that I don't remember this theme very well doesn't stop this rework from being amazingly good.
seriously, it's a very very good game, hard, tough, but in its time it was a really awesome thing to play. Even now the story and the characters haven't aged a bit ^^.
Yeah, I've been made aware of this. I've also heard the theme in Dissidia. FFVII just failed to leave a good impression on me for whatever reason. I could not get into it.
I would like to hear Bloodlines from Castlevania Rondo of Blood/Dracula X made by you. 8bitDanooct1's version is in the 2A03 and my version (If you want an ftm of it, as my RUclips version is very obsolete, just ask) is in the VRC6 Akumajou Densetsu Style. I'ld love to hear it in this style. o.o
hertzdevil did some in the akumajou style for castlevania. check out his channel. he did an excellent cross your heart cover. im sure he has more too. personally i want to hear the theme of simon belmont from the bloodlines version of the game redone in vrc6. it think FM synth would translate extremely well to 8-bit espcially using the namco chip
twinkletoes4495 Aj I think it’s from president Shinra rather than Seph, I mean Cloud did blew the shit out of that reactor that makes millions of gill for that greedy bastard!
Get the 2012 Pc version and find a patch for the music, if you don't it's gonna be shitty MIDI, but if you can find a patch it makes it just as good as the original version.
"Tell me what you cherish most..."
THIS SONG
Depends who you ask. Some people adore it, others don't care for it at all. I would recommend giving it a try. One thing that's for sure is that the music is awesome.
This is a whole new level of exquisite craftsmanship. Stunned.

It's not everyday where I hear a cover of an awesome piece of music that manages to top it. Congratulations!

the sound is making my knees vibrate.
Nice job ! Final Fantasy VII intro is one of my favorite game introduction.
Bro I was 4 when you made this comment lmao-
Oddly enough, i like to hear 8-bit-synth much more than modern sampled instrument synth. Thumps up!
Such high quality DPCM, it's ridiculous. Seriously good job on this, many kudos
Okay, that's it. I was just liking and sharing a bit ago, and then I find this jewel.
Subscribing.
Awesome ! Thanks for taking the time to make this, Carl the coatless !
The Instrument at playing lead at 0:39 IS AWSOME!

*wonders what this would sound like if Masashi Hamauzu had done it*
Holy fuck, this is fantastic!
Guess it's time to replay FFVII again.
Great recreation, I'm really impressed. Captures the feel of the original track really well. And it's actually 8-bit too.

This doesn't sound to far from the original! Excellent work! XD
When I hear this 8-bit version here I think and have memories of FF7 1997 I like it more than the FF7 2020 version Good job😃
Didn't get far in FFVII, so I don't remember much of the music very well. Still, the fact that I don't remember this theme very well doesn't stop this rework from being amazingly good.
It's the opening song when you start a new game lol
I'm thoroughly impressed!

Awesome, as always!
To think that I'm actually playing this game through for the first time now.
every great story starts in media res
No wonder it's tough and time consuming, this very song is actually pretty complicated, and has some great polyrythms !
The baseline is amazing :) , Just how I remember it when I was seven :)
Barret: "Get down here, merc."
I require this FTM. For the greater good, of course.
The world must know of this!!!
1:27 Suddenly, GBA!!??

twinkletoes4495 Aj I think it’s from president Shinra rather than Seph, I mean Cloud did blew the shit out of that reactor that makes millions of gill for that greedy bastard!
Great! Thank you :)
Is there a version without the opening? Just the bombing mission part?
I think they are supposed to be together, I dont know.
Awesome :o Sounds very close to original.
I don't want to offend your memory, but this was the very beggining of the game!
VladNorris WHAT IS A MAN!?....
1:07
I'm just wondering, is this a good game? :)
Same here.
VRC6 arrangement? Or...?
Yes, VRC6.

I always thought ff7 was overrated, but this really made it amazing.
*my opinion*
It's a pretty good JRPG, but they're better within the series i.e. FF4,6 and 9
Are the drums midi?
+SoniXGenesis
All NES music is MIDI, is it?
+sega310982 Sort of, I think what he's referring to is that the drums seem to be of a higher quality, not fitting with the rest of the 8 bit music
digitized sounds on the 2a03 dpcm channel
What Dream are made out of .... Who else is head banging!
