I still chuckle when I think about breaking up with my ex. For months I tried talking to him about behaviour that made me suspicious he is cheating, but he always swore up and down that I am just imagining things and have trust issues. At some point I figured it doesn't matter if he cheats or I am actually driving crazy and imagine things because both are signs the relationship is doomed. He was shocked I broke up and in his shock he admitted to the cheating and somehow thought he can salvage the relationship somehow. I said nope to that and while heading out, he started to ask me if I found another guy and if I go to him now. Have me a good laugh and the closure I needed. Cheaters are always projecting.

Yes this happened to me he never listened, paid attention, tried… I left and then found later my husband I would marry have kids with and just so grateful to God I got away from a narcissist and that ex he is still alone resentful and tells people I left him when he needed me the most 🤦♀️ ??? It was like he just didn't exist anymore in my eye. So when I looked through his phone and I found all the proof of his mistresses (yes multiple women and there was one that was married and have children too). He even gave her money while I couldn't even get a dime from him. I'm always thankful for that nanny for telling me. What she did helped me alot.

Indeed. I sent my final "goodbye" to my Son's father January of last year. W I broke it off over 15 years ago, but I was still "communicating" for our Son's sake. I was finally sick of the ignorance, his negligence to our son, so I sent him a long text stating he would never hear from me again. I felt it happen as my husband continued to damage our marriage with his shouting, smashing things, spending £500 a month on his wine and tobacco, barely helping even with a bit of gardening without anger, cruel words, and extreme behaviour. When he left I was still a little bit willing to give it a go but then he suddenly put the wants of someone else above the welfare of me and our children. I told him rhat if he did that it would close the portal and i would never open it again. He did it. And something inside me said "enough". I feel happy and calm inside even though he still comes here to talk sometimes ,and often about his new girlfriend. I do it too. I tried to communicate, but he said "we are ok", even if I said that there is something I don't like. I told him exactly what makes me unhappy in his behaviour. I tired of being needy. I'm tired of begging him to give me some attention, to spend time together. He wasn't like this when we met, but he has changed... He says he loves me but he doesn't show this.
When a man gets what he wants from you, HE checks out and is looking for the next sucker because he thinks that he's got it like that. He does not realize that his good looks, game, & everything else WILL GET OLD. By that time the only thing he might attract is gold diggers that will be waiting for him to die so she can get all of his stuff (if he has anything). He will remember the good women that he screwed over and will try to come back because he can't find one that genuinely cares about him as a person like you did.

Oh my GOD!! You explained exactly what I was going through! Leaving someone I loved was the hardest thing I've ever done. I didn't leave him because I didn't love him, I left him because he didn't love me back. Its been 13 years and I still cry every day. He was the love of my life💔. The abuse was too much😢. But I still love him and I always will.
