I left Karon on the 26th of May and you could not swim as the waves flattened you. I was there for 2 weeks, and during that time the number of tourists shrunk to almost nothing. Great time to visit, not crowded and everything still open. It was hot and it did rain but it is a great time to visit there. I will return early September and hope it is the same as in May. I love Karon.
The Da Mario restaurant, is a good price place and the food is good also. just round the corner is the Art hotel. - nice and comfy with a pool. Stayed there in April.
I have stayed at the smaller hotels, O 'Tools was good, the Paradise Inn and the Karon Cafe Inn, they all have good rooms, comfy quiet clean roomy and not expensive. Great location, plenty of good inexpensive places to eat, The Sutin bar, Mos bar and plenty of other places. The area covered by Tony is not resort style but you are in the middle of a place that is not over the top as Patong can be, with a great beach. I have gone there many times and I will return as often as I can.
Hi Tony, We were Booked to stay at the Centara in July 2023 and the booking was cancelled due to the Refurbishment starting in the Mid July, We were advised that the hotel wasnt looking to reopen until at least November 2024 at the earliest. So we had to stay elsewhere in Karon & Patong. This trip we are visiting Pattaya & Bangkok and hopefully the Centara will be re-open next year for us to visit as we love it.
😂😂 there's always a chance the weather in Phuket changes so much so quickly but there no way im getting on a surfboard in these conditions Good Luck with that 🙂
really depends on what you're looking for ???? if lively then Patong as it has many options but if you are looking for a more chilled pace then either Karon or Kata
in low season it can be because of the storms that bring it ashore but high season sees people cleaning the beach regularly there's even groups you can join to help clear away the rubbish

Hi Tony - Kata, Karon or Patong as a first time visitor ?
really depends on what you're looking for ???? if lively then Patong as it has many options but if you are looking for a more chilled pace then either Karon or Kata
Hi Tony - I llke your Patong option at the Beachfront Hotel
If the flags are red...
You could end up dead
You can use that one 😂
Is the beach dirty with trash?
