I am always watching your videos so whenever my mom hears Loretta's or Eldad's voice, she would say "You've been watching Hope For Paws so many times that I memorized the sound of their voices". She even told me that after I graduate and if I still want to pursue rescuing animals, which has been my dream since I was 14, then she is going to support me. Thank you for being an inspiration Hope For Paws.

@@teresajose2280 What we see on RUclips is merely a fraction of the goodness he brings to this world. He was recording throughout the whole incident. If you go out in the middle of the night to save a dog and meet a homeless guy and gave him fifty bucks, and while doing so, recorded the incident in its entirety. Everyone would appreciate your efforts too.

@@terriemartinez9989 - In Hebrew it would be probably tzadik (one who does good deed). There are people who volunteer all over the Israel to be first responders for people who either injured in accidents or injured in terrorist suicide bombers, or terrorists who attack with knives unsuspected people mostly in Jerusalem. They are as angels or Tsadikim as can be. They are on call all the time, since most are religious they of course don’t volunteer on Shabbat unless they are really needed. Of course there are paramedic whose job is to save people, but those people are needed too and they also know how treat people medically until they get to the hospital. They are also have their own special ambulances yellow color that were donated.

We just began a canned food donation bin, for NY-ers in financial need due to the shutdown. Every person can step in and do one small, kind act: Animal rescue where we regularly donate, feeding our neighbors with canned food we collect, helping a homeless guy with a cup of coffee and a blanket? It's all the same. We're in it together. Blest be, all.

I’m wondering about the guy, too. He had a walker. Now he has a sleeping bag. He’s probably old and sick. There are too many people out there that we can’t seem to help. Helping the dog makes me feel good but if feel lost myself when it comes to humans.

No he wasn't. That dog had been professionally groomed at least 30 to 45 days earlier.
We have that breed and we take him in every 30 to 45 days and just based on the length of his hair he'd been groomed and based on his behavior he gets lots of baths as well

@@patrickcowan8701 - We have a people rescue channel, it's called "Hoarders". There's another one about 'intervention', where the family and friends of an addict tries to get them professional help.

Some of the homeless on the street prefer being on the streets unfortunately. There are shelters etc but they require u to go back to work and eventually get your own place etc. If you're older but not old enough to collect SSI then most wait it out until they can. Also, some are not healthy enough or confident enough to hold down a job. So, they will kind of stay in limbo.
That's not a wheelchair. It's a walker with a seat. I use one like that. He is probably able to walk
Kinda sad that the dog was going to be given shelter but the poor disabled man wasn't. Thank you so much for doing what you could for him as well, for being prepared to help in some way in that sort of situation too. No one should be homeless in one of the wealthiest countries in the world, what a cruel and unjust system.

I've been watching the videos of Richard Wolff, who is explaining why our system creates these problems to begin with.
I sort of wonder if the dog belonged to the homeless guy. But he would be a much more complicated rescue.
@@melodykeogh humans has shelters, and food stamps, animals are put to sleep if nobody adopt them. Jails are full of criminals go there and bless them instead to criticize helping animals in need.

Such a loving dog. Stress free rescue too! I'm more relieved he was rescued because it would be even harder to survive given he's a smaller dog. Then he gets an awesome home! And it's only 2020!

I've seen loads of Hope For Paws videos in the last 24 hours...these furry friends, they may seem reluctant at first, but looking into their eyes, they are actually hoping to be rescued and loved. You guys have gave hopes to all the strays that was left/abandoned by selfish people.

I can't even explain how much I can thank you for saving these poor animals,😢, there are 2 types of people. First kind are the ones who hurt or abandon, or do anything cruel to animals. Second kind are the ones who save them like you guys. You are so nice and I think nobody can be nicer. Love your channel and I liked every single video. The 3rd kind of people are ones that have pets but can barely afford to feed them and can't afford proper veterinary care, but they love their pets very much.
That dog was clearly somebody’s loved pet at one time. He seemed too happy to have a leash put and be put in the car. It’s a shame that he was likely abandoned.

There isn't enough subsidized housing, and Ronald Reagan cut the Section 8 program to one-fourth its former size when he got into office in 1980. Rents rose to four times what they were before Reagan in the eight years he has in office. So the need for affordable housing was SIXTEEN times as great after Reagan was done with us as it was before he got hold of the country.

The little dog was frightened at first but once the leash was around his neck he calmed down which means he was very used to having a collar and leash and found this a reassuring feeling of safety and normalcy. So glad he found a good forever home and bless you for having given the homeless man a comfortable and clean bedroll to sleep on.

I’m so sad this dog wasn’t microchipped. I think he definitely belonged to someone. Maltipoo owners don’t usually abandon their dogs. They are hard to come by in rescues, and if you buy them they are $$$. This dog seems to know the word bath- he started shaking right after that word. His family is ply missing him. :(

I thought the same thing. I think the little guy was probably lost. I have a maltipoo that looks just like this one, and can tell he was professionally groomed in the not distant past. He likely was just dirty from being outdoors lost. I really love Hope For Paws and all the awesome work they do, but in this instance I think the pup wasn’t abandoned, just lost. It’s a shame he wasn’t microchipped so Hope For Paws could have notified the owners and seen if they were looking for him and wanting him home. :*(

@@abbygalbraith6389 If that's actually true,, then I'm sorry for your family, because the dog has already been placed in a new home. It's unfortunate that the dog wasn't wearing a collar with tags or had a microchip. I've seen enough of their videos to know they look on lost pet pages online etc and try to reunite dogs with their family. Sometimes they are able to find the family.
