The whole 'pulp adventure' genre is one I keep liking more and more. Indiana Jones, LEGO Adventurers and Pharoah's Quest are all great examples. I've got the Sphinx set from this one, wish I had the others. I would absolutely love a full relaunch of either Adventurers or Pharoah's Quest.
I always liked this genre as everything felt more grounded in reality. No super powers or impossible technologies. But wits and tenacity. I like it. Much more relatable.
Great video!!! I had a couple of the old Adventurers sets as a kid, the Egypt adventure ones. I only recently found out about this newer theme and I was curious about it, so watching this video is a treat!
I’ve always been fascinated with Ancient Egypt as a kid. This is my favorite theme. It was short lived. I’m from 98 so I never got to experience the original adventurers desert sets but as an adult I am collecting them 1 by 1
This was one of my favorite small themes as a kid. I had all of the sets as a kid except for the largest one, Scorpion Pyramid which goes for over $200 used now. I just decided to get one of the Anubis Guards & call it there.
6:48 Egypt didn't have widely used coinage until the Ptolemaic Dynasty, which was the last dynasty and was not native to the region. None of the dynasties that build pyramids would have used them. 7:22 The sphinx that had the riddle was the sphinx that guarded the city of Thebes in Boeotia in modern day Greece. Aside from the statues representing the same mythological figures they aren't related at all.
Lego Adventures along with Paradise are my two favorite sets of all time. The giant animals of Pharaohs quest are so far away from the pulp feeling of the older ones that I never found it appealing.
I remember buying the scorpion pyramid brand new on offer up for about $80 locally 3-4 years ago. I loved that set and I did sell the Anubis guards for about $40ea. now I regret it and am Trying to get the two Anubis guards back + more
As soon as i saw how cool these sets where i ordered them on ebay!!! 😂 love your videos also when i saw the mixels sets video i also bought 4 of them ❤
Pharaohs quest was ok but I would’ve much rather have just gotten a modernized lego adventures desert theme like they’ve done when rereleasing other sets or even better yet an completely new location with the original adventurers.
Not just Johnny Thunder but his uncle Professor Charles Lightning, possibly-girlfriend journalist Gail Storm, and rarely seen pilot/mechanic Harry Cane. All the Adventurers had a weather theme...until they didn't. _Why_ they changed the names starting on Dino Island I'll never be able to fathom, but I hated every name change they went with and wanted the other new good guys introduced in the Orient Expedition to continue that theme.

That’s really cool I remember these sets it’s too bad they aren’t on sale anymore, they should definitely remake or continue this old series
I don't know if I collected much of this theme although I have found things in my collection that would be from it
I only got some of the original 98 sets and a vhs of me opening one at christmas 1998.

Do they no longer sell legos in Egypt?

When you consider lots of sets at retail are over 200 now 200 used for an awesome old set is great.
Pharaoh's Quest's Anubis figures are my favorites!!
*GRANDSON, WE HAVE TO GET TO EGYPT TO DEFEAT DIO*
I have all the Pharaoh's Quest sets. They are great.
GREAT VIDEO ❤❤❤❤
These videos are by far my favourite and I've been waiting ages for this one ❤
That cobra and scorpion look so awesome!
I liked these sets actually, they looked stupidly cool in the catalogs and the first mummy movie with Brendan Frasier released around this time.
I loved this theme as a kid!!!

Can you make another "Lost but not forgotten"video off an early theme? ❤❤❤😊
Why has youtube such a weird glitch i was subscribed since you had 70K and it did not say subscribe
I do want pharoes quest to make a return.
Nice I own scrab attack and staff set what other sets u recommend
You should do some actually good themes, like 1989-1997s Pirates for example.
The Lego pharaoh's quest is cool and I like it.
I’m a huge Egypt fan, but unfortunately i don’t have any Egypt Legos.
I just realised the pyramid has the same baseplate that an Indiana Jones set I own has
plz reply I love your videos
bro...i have a piece of lego amd i was always wondaring...from wich set is it?AND IT S LITERALY THE SCARAB BACK PIECE
Pharaohs quest was ok but I would’ve much rather have just gotten a modernized lego adventures desert theme like they’ve done when rereleasing other sets or even better yet an completely new location with the original adventurers.
I had one set from Lego Pharaons Quest set number 7307 5:55
Keep up the good work love your videos ❤ 😊
Love odc❤
I have the battle pack boxxed and all
Pharoah Quest got a cameo in Lego Dimensions. The Scooby-Doo stage of the game featured mummy warriors and a scarab miniboss. Just a neat observation.
This was out around the time I became super serious about Lego. My golden era kinda
Jack?? Or Jake??
Yo, I see u
Bro really changed the thumbnail
Cool

The color scheme of that newer set looks so dark.
Why Wildhorse they go to Egypt when making an Egyptian set.... who would doubt this?
😄
