You know what, this is one of if not the only best animation in a brickfilm. The animation + lighting makes this a masterpeice. 24 frames per second is hard and to see a person make a 8 MINUTE video SHOT AT 24 FPS is so darn respectable. Also the animation tells the story perfectly. I actually turned the volume down and showed to my friend (who didn't see this brickfilm) and he understood everything perfectly. You are probably the Best brickfilmer I've ever seen cause of this.

No way its been 13 years!? I remember watching this when it said 1! Happy I didn't fully remember just how top quality the animation and lighting is here, it was such a surprise from my faded memory. I really miss this era of lego animations on YT, things have changed a ton now. Glad this short still standing here like a stone pillar though. Still fantastic as it was over a decade ago!

This is probably the most perfect stop motion film I have ever seen. I remember watching this a lot when I was a kid but as an adult I appreciate all the hard work and effort it took to make this.
6:27 only the first 3 pharaohs of the first dynasty buried their servants alongside them. Afterwards they were given painted figurines called "Shabti" to replace them. A much more friendly practice, I assure you.
This film is an absolute masterpiece. I constantly find myself forgetting that this is stop motion because it is so smooth. I also love the opening scene with the scorpions.
This video is SO underrated, this is one of the best animated lego films I ever seen. This was created in 2011, so the camera quality during that time wasn’t very good, but this... Is um you know, the best! Every one watching this video, like the video!!!

@@mobdeli I quite like the fact that the professor is completely unfazed by deadly spear traps and reanimated skeletons, either because he's sauced out of his gourd on wine or maybe he's just used to it by now.
Its so funny and unexpected where it takes everything, it doesn't do any movie stereotypes, it does have character stereotypes but there done in such an obscure way that its unrecognizable to predict want will happen like the evilness character dying almost instantly in the first 1/4 of the film really throws an unexpected factor, the chardonnay joke is so well funny XD and the two scorpions fighting at the start was so anticlimactic and hilarious.

Don't know if you still read these comments, but i just wanted you to know how much i appreciete this film. Most of the brickfilms are just a showcase of cool tricks you can do with lego, and they lack the basic elements that make a good film. But your films, it has it all. Proper shots and editing, well-thought lightning, working sound design, enjoyable characters, and most importantly, a great story. And that's really hard to do with lego. This film must've taken a really long time and a lot of effort to make, you are really talented. Absolutely great work!
