***** well, it's half and half. Parts of it are Stopmotion, do, the movement, but to render anything floating and the water when they are in the ocean and facial movements are all edited. So, in short, the character movement and walking or driving is Stopmotion, while facial expressions and sound is edited, as well as anything that floats.

Where are you and why aren't you out there making Brickfilms anymore? This is seriously a fantastic piece of work and an inspiration to me as an animator/filmmaker. Would love to see some more stuff from you.
mobdeli I have seen a few of these yes! I didn't know you had done the "Cant Stop Building" video, great work. Do you have plans for any upcoming animation projects of your own that aren't commissions from Lego?
mobdeli Like the classic Ice Planet theme from way back? Very nice. If you're ever interested in collaborating on some live action stuff, let me know. I'm working on some live action short films as well as one big animation project this year here in TN. You can check out my stuff at my website if you're interested (www.niesproductions.com) Always looking to connect with other filmmakers (especially people who enjoy stop motion)
Holy crap, I remember seeing this back in like 2014 and thinking this was fantastic! And now in 2021, I still think this is one of the best Lego animations
You know what, this is one of if not the only best animation in a brickfilm. The animation + lighting makes this a masterpeice. 24 frames per second is hard and to see a person make a 8 MINUTE video SHOT AT 24 FPS is so darn respectable. Also the animation tells the story perfectly. I actually turned the volume down and showed to my friend (who didn't see this brickfilm) and he understood everything perfectly. You are probably the Best brickfilmer I've ever seen cause of this.
thank you so much! i think it's really important that films work with no sound so they can be understood in any language! thanks for watching and your nice comment :)
6:27 only the first 3 pharaohs of the first dynasty buried their servants alongside them. Afterwards they were given painted figurines called "Shabti" to replace them. A much more friendly practice, I assure you.
Wow, that was a great animation ! One of the best I have ever sceen ! :) You are a great source of inspiration ! I hope you will be making more of those !
Watching this for the first time in, like, 11 years and I gotta say, it's as good as I remember, if not better. I feel like there's a lot more that I appreciate here than I could back when I was a kid. Greaf job, man
This is probably the most perfect stop motion film I have ever seen. I remember watching this a lot when I was a kid but as an adult I appreciate all the hard work and effort it took to make this.
Damn this brings back memories. And still its the best Lego animation on RUclips. When you watch it you really have the feeling you're watching a actual series on tv.
This film is an absolute masterpiece. I constantly find myself forgetting that this is stop motion because it is so smooth. I also love the opening scene with the scorpions.
i remember watching these videos as a child hood just came back to it when i found my old legos are remembered this video. thanks for being a part of my childhood
this is the highest quality animation
Watch MichelHickoxFilms. they are also awesome.
