Great check on great trucks. I could tell the guy loves his Rivian - almost to the point of trying to "sell it" while the Tesla owner is trying to be humble w his new CT.. That said, I wont be suprised when CT goes crazy with sales vs. Rivian. Auto sales is an emotional thing and not reallly being "feature pinching" except for, the powered CT TONNEAU is key for a lot of buyers - changed to an SUV. Tesla just nailed the overall "User Experience" (CX) factor for me which is actually a legit job/science in tech
@ChargeGo the review made it seem like the Rivian is the much better choice. Does Rivian have the car to home power share type feature? I think the main features the Cybertruck has going for it is the 14-50 220/240v outlet for much higher power output for people that need that to power more power hungry tools, steer by wire, and sound system. I kept thinking the tailgate camera location was dumb because you won't be able to see out the back when it's down, which means you need the tonneau cover up when it's down, but now I'm starting to think they did that for use while reversing while offroading, so you can see what's right behind the tires. Hmmmm
I would add a spare wheel carrier to my Cybertruck - placed at the back on the outside, pivoted to the RHS of the vehicle. I wonder how powerful (quick) the Rivian air compressor is - which is why Tesla went with a stand-alone unit. I suspect the Cybertruck will have full Self Driving before the Rivian - so Tesla is my preference. I also think charging will be faster with the Cybertruck.
