I like how Alura une holds Soma in "hey handsome, do you come here very often?" way. Also, if you equipped une with this soul the vines will drop unes constantly
From what i remember the Guillotine combo is one in front of Soma (the normal one) and one on top of the Mini Devil, so if you use the touch pad you can make them hit the same target. Pretty much all familliars can be moved using the touch thing or attack a certain place. Spin Devil is pretty cool specially how it can nullify most proyectile attacks Also... i dunno why but i always liked the Alura Une just cuz it looks cool and she says "Soma-sama" XD tho unless you touch the place you wanna attack she is extremely slow
Just found you this week and have been binging your content. Not a lot of people nowadays giving the GBAvanias some love, especially the Sorrow games, 2 of my favorites in the series. The only one that's super close is Portrait of Ruin. Keep up the good work!
I like Alura Une not because it's practical but because of other reasons. And it's powerful on top of it, but you can't move while using it. Stacking INT boosts from Lilith and combining Une makes it pretty top tier at high levels.

I'm much more familiar with Order of Ecclesia than Dawn of Sorrow, but I guess Devil soul is basically Dominus Agony? Dominus Agony is insanely good (situationally) in OoE so yeah, I can see that being top tier.
Really nice to have a compilation of your thoughts on the souls. As someone with very limited knowledge of the game, I think your reasons for placement were well articulated and helped me understand why top players use certain combos. Look forward to the next list!

Just finished another playthrough of Dawn earlier today, and I can say that maxed out Bat was a mainstay throughout, its become one of my favorites. My soul luck was pretty terrible throughout the playthrough, killed Creature over 140 times with the Soul Eater Ring and Lucky 7 equipped, so I didn't exactly get a lot of good alternatives. But still, combining the low MP cost of Bats with Une and a fast-hitting weapon like Kotetsu, I ripped through most enemies with incredible ease.
Finally, someone else that loves Spin Demon ! I do feel like you should have put it higher, because you slept on the fact that like Persephone, it's a projectile sucker, so it's also incredible defensively
While not useful against aerial bosses, I love skull archer. Charging 1 super deadly arrow feels tense but awesome when you get it on bosses like Zephyr, and you get it early game.
Also skull archer is one of the very few things that can do more than 1 damage to an iron golem,I'm pretty sure it can do up to 13 damage to one,and that's not even counting flying humanoid
Another thing bout needles soul: Its one of the few souls that can exceed its max level (via succubus glitch) without any consequences. You can get like, 6 urchins on the screen xD
i would like to make a case for iron golem: if you're going for chaos ring it basically enables journalist mode and invalidates basically any form of difficulty for the final boss and beyond
I don't know why people like Harpy soul. For me it's kinda slow, strange attack pattern and it's hard to know when will the attack come out so i can aim it to hit things. Also the fastest way for me to kill Final Guard is using Sniper +Skull Archer combo but Skull Archer is still not very good. Reasonable tier list btw. Also how would you ranking Mandragora soul again after trying it?
Manticore is top tier, basically 4 times the range and 40/50% more attack + destroy annoying flying stuff + you can hit stuff you can't normally hit + you can get in the first 10 minutes of play.
You said you enjoy making these, i've been enjoying listening to these (as someone who plays the games casually) i'll be interested to hear what you have to say about PoR's subweapons or OoE's Arm glyphs for example. if you go there at all of course
iron golem can also attack...its a bit strong but nah...still expensive...a least you can do big robot fight with another iron golem with the chaos ring hehe

Mini Devil moves to where you tap on the screen so it allows for long distance, presicion guillotines. I love doing that.

Dominus is a good comparison, yeah! The boost is weaker, but Devil is non-fatal.

I find Quetzalcoatl quite effective against Medusa heads and enemies with destructible projectiles
Its a mortal sin not to include Black Panther ofc it is S tier
You can use a maxed out Buer soul to completely invalidate every one of Abbadon's attacks. It's some use.

I'd like to test out Mandragora some more in the future, but it's definitely somewhere in Great.
Iron golem is a fun time with a chaos ring on. It does have a kick attack, it is slow as hell, but it's fun to just bully enemies with it.

I must say the IronGolem is the best soul in the entire game. because invincibility and you can easily slap the final boss around

Unfortunately not,the chaos ring in dawn only increases mp recovery,it doesn't invalidate mp cost like the one in aria
