I love the Indiana Jones franchise. I pretty much grew up watching it. I even named my dog after the main protagonist. But when it comes to favourite film in the franchise, I’m torn between Raiders of the Lost Ark & The Last Crusade. Also, Harrison Ford is an Awesome Indy. It’s cool that there’s so many Star Wars references within the franchise. Also, there’s actually a really cool Star Wars Easter egg(mainly about Han Solo) in the Lego Indiana Jones games. The first Lego Indiana Jones game had the ability to unlock a playable Han Solo character by discovering different Star Wars characters & locations based around the different missions. Some include finding Chewie in Mos Eisley Cantina which was hidden in a level set in Cairo and finding Princess Leia in her cell (from the detention block in the first Death Star) which is hidden in a Temple of Doom level. Whereas, the second Lego Indiana Jones game had a brief appearance of Han Solo in Carbonite In The first mission of the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hub world set around the Area 51 scene.

Anthony Powell was mistaken though - yes, the dress was made from original beads & sequins, but there were more than 2 made. Two dresses were on display at exactly the same time, in 2 different exhibitions, in two different countries - both claiming to be the principle costume. One was on display at the Hollywood Costume exhibition in Los Angeles and another dress was on display in Edmonton (literally at the exact same time), as part of the Indiana Jones: Adventure of Archaeology exhibition. Also - I have spoken with a woman who worked in Barbara Matera's costume studio (the studio who made the dress) who confirms that more than 1 dress was made.
Also oh my god, I think I might be a bit obsessed with that dress lol

I don't have a problem with Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, unlike most people. It had its flaws, but I find it a decent enough entry in the franchise. It makes sense to shift the bad guys from being the Nazis to the Russians, and for the movie to have a sci-fi theme since such films were a popular genre in the 50s. My one movie I have a problem with is the Temple of Doom. God, practically all I can remember of the movie are the gross-out bits and all the screaming.

I love Indiana Jones so damn much. I remember watching them when I was really young, dressing up as him and just thinking he was the coolest ever. But Harrison Ford is old now, and he’s still a great actor, but he’s tired and isn’t really action hero material anymore. I really think that if they want to reboot the franchise, which I am all for, they should consider other actors. Harrison Ford will always be the real Indiana Jones. But I want to watch a great adventure movie that brings me back to raiders of the lost arc. And fords almost 80 :(

The fridge scene was definitely the idea of Spielberg. He originally wanted to use the scene in the film Back to the Future where Marty and Doc had to take a lead lined fridge to a nuclear testing site however it was cut when both Spielberg and Zemekis thought that kids would want to copy Marty and climb into fridges.

How could you not appreciate this character. The way i see it my father had John Wayne and all his Iconic films and characters. My generation which really didnt have a John Wayne type actors once Indiana Jones came out in 81 I finally had my John Wayne type found in Harrison Ford. What more this awesome character helped link my father and I with movies we both could enjoy together and my father while not being too keen on actors of my generation we both found an incredible bond throught Indy and his iconic adventures. Whatmore the indy character has been that hero that helped me bond with my Dad and will always have great memories thanks to Indy and for that Dr. Jones is a character i will be sure my son grows up with so as with my father and i bonded hopefully These great movies will do the same. Indy is more than a fun and adventurous icon he is family

Ironic that Ford objected to the CGI whip, when the scar on his chin was casued by using that very same whip! (or at least that's the story explanation for the real scar he has on his chin (but that plot point was in "Last Cruscade" Young Indy trying to "tame the lion" in the circus train).
