    I believe it happened. My father died of cancer in November, 3 days before my 23rd birthday. I sat next to him and held his hand as he died, just like boogie did with his mother. Before my dad died, he set up a bird feeder on our back porch. When I got home from the hospital, I sat on the back porch and spoke to him. I told him to look after my mom. After I finished talking, I turned around to go back inside and heard a bird flapping. I turned around and a bird had landed right on his bird feeder. I got really emotional, and the bird flew up to me and sat inches away from my feet before flying away. I think my dad sent the bird to comfort me, but everyone is entitled to believe what they want. Personally I've had too many paranornal experiences it's impossible for me to NOT believe in an afterlife.

    I grew up in a house on a military base which was built in the mid 1800s (moved out 3 years ago) when I lived in that house some creepy stuff went on. The most common thing that would happen would be me hearing my moms voice calling me down for dinner, it always sounded exactly like her and when I replied she said she never said anything. Another time was I was on my iPad and I was going to go out to go to the bathroom and I saw a shadow dart in the bathroom from my stairway but it was not a human it was a legit shadow. (Also talking to my parents with their encounters my mom would always hear footsteps along the hallway) My moms encounter was there was one time in the basement after her daily running on the treadmill went to the bathroom and there was a bouquet of flowers on the toilet she called my dad down because she was FREAKED out and my dad came down and they both had no explanation of why they were there and where they even came from, she also said that she had smelt perfume out of nowhere that was not her brand. Also both my parents have seen a little kid peaking down at them from the top of the stairwell. The most insane thing that happened was when me and my dad were watching T.V and I had just put my candy back on the kitchen counter (pretty much in the middle) and I came and sat down, and some time later all of the sudden my candy literally got thrown into the middle of the kitchen.

      Alfredo Rodriguez The kid looks about 10 years old with short hair, I have proof on my Instagram since I visited my house last year and caught the boys face. For my mom calling me I remember this vivid because it scares the shit out of me and it sounded EXACTLY like my mom. I was playing in my room with my toy cars and I clear as day heard my moms voice saying my name (Jaden) in the same tone that she usually calls me in and I yelled to my mom which was downstairs at the time and she said she didn’t call me and was watching T.V. I’ve lived in my new townhouse for about 3 years now and I’ve never had anything that weird happen to me yet.

      Alfredo Rodriguez My family thinks there are 3 spirits in the house 1 old man, a kid, and a woman, the only proof of a woman is my mom smelling perfume out of no where while cleaning. I’m not so sure if the spirit is mean like you said it did throw something across the room but after 12 years of living there that’s the most aggressive it got. My instagram is CJ 101

    I had a very similar experience when my ma passed away a few months ago, she could activate Siri in my phone and I always texted her when I got home or got to my partners place. So the night before she passed away I texted her when I got home from visiting for the last time and just went on with my night distracting myself the best I could then the next night my grandad calls me and let’s me know she’s passed away while I’m sat at my pc watching RUclips (I paused it), it’s completely silent and about 15 minutes later Siri pops up as if I’ve said “hey Siri” and Siri replies “I’m here”, which I truly believe was her because she always knew about my deepest anxiety was death so while she was still alive we made an agreement that she’d let me know if there was another side. She still communicates with me sometimes, it’s become less and less but it’s truly comforting especially as an orphan to know there’s a possibility of something out there that we don’t know about.

    I grew up in a christian family. My parents were pastors and a lot of my childhood was spent on youth camps and in a church. There are a lot of things in religion that people do to give their faith a bad name. But from all my experiences and everything I’ve been through in my life I can say with 100% certainty that there is a God. I can’t explain what happened to me but it Isn’t something you will believe unless it happens to you. I wouldn’t consider myself a “good christian” but I live my life with the knowledge of the existence of God everyday. I hope that if anyone is looking for answers in their life that you find them. :)

    When he started talking about the hand on his shoulder and the deal he had with him mom, my mind started racing to all the possible causes for that, such as it being psychosomatic, which ended up being what he addressed at the end.
    And it got me thinking-- if all ghostly/spiritual experiences are jusy coincidences or the mysterious power of the human mind, is that so bad? If some part of Boogie's subconscious fired off with that memory at that moment, that's a pretty beautiful thing in and of itself. In a way, the real ghost of his mother is the memory that still dwells within his psyche.

      Because the explanation could be simple. So when you attempt to rationalize with ideas that you hardly know anything about, it becomes futile. Your "rational" explanation becomes "irrational" if that makes sense. I'm not bashing anyone. Just trying to shed some light from my experiences.

    Recently my dog passed away and my mum described pretty much the exact same experience. When my dog was alive she would always lean forward and rest her head on our leg or knee or anywhere she could so we would give her some attention. My mum said that when she was crying about her, she felt my dog put her head on her knee.
    It’s crazy to think about. I haven’t experienced this, I hope I do for some reassurance. This is the first death I’ve ever had to go through so the concept of death has become somewhat terrifying to me, the fact that we all have the same endgame and literally have no idea what happens next. I hope I can see my dog again, I miss her cute little face

    Wanna hear a few? I have a lot.
    1. When I was a little kid my brother had his friends over. His bedroom has a big wide open door with a curtain that is open 90% of the time. Right across from his room is the threshold of the part of my house built in 1890 and where our laundry room is. His bed his bed faces right out of the “door”. One time he had probably three friends over. They watched a movie and went to sleep at 12:00 midnight he said. In the middle of the night he and all his friends woke up all at the same time randomly. They all just feel something and look up and see a black figure in old times clothing. Remember this part was built in 1890.
    2. My sister had her friends over awhile ago. Her room is in the way front part of the house that was built so long ago. Her friends had never been there. They all went to sleep and one of them woke up to get water. She see’s a young girl staring at the end of the bed. She looks up and the girl curls up and disappears.
    3. We had chickens so when they were really young chicks they would start out in the house. The way front again. One day my brother wakes up in the middle of the night needing water he goes upstairs to get some. Obviously he will check on he baby’s chicks. He walks to where they are. He see’s a young boy that looked like me kinda apparently. He said my name the young “boy” was holding a chicken he dropped the chicken turned around and disappeared.
    4. My turn. I woke up in he middle of the night and my room is again in he front part of the house. I’m tossing and turning all night. I can’t go to sleep. I go to get water and just feel something behind me. I walk to the newer addition of the house it disappears. Walk back. I kinda see something but no matter I go back upstairs turn my lights off hop back in bed. I wake up a few minutes later and look around because again I feel something. I look around and just see a dark figure in the hallway staring into my room.
    5. This is about my neighbors but no matter. There house is about the same age as ours. When they had a new kid when she was young she always had trouble sleeping. Always having nightmares saying she saw people and things everywhere during the night. Things someone that young shouldn’t know about. One time she woke up in the morning and asked anyone if they were in her room at any point during the night. They all replied no. No one was in her room yet she still saw something.
    6. This one isn’t necessarily a ghost story but still very creepy. My dog is a bit of a nutcase. No one will be home no sound and he’s staring at something. We have a baby gate so the dogs don’t run to the front door. He’ll sit on the threshold behind the gate and stare at the den. The same place in the front of the house my brother saw a ghost once. He’ll go into my room my brothers room and my sisters room and will just randomly growl in the middle of the night. He never growls when he’s in my parents room in the newest addition of our house. Only in the really old front part of the house.

    I saw a full body apparition of my deceased opa when I was a child. About 10 years old. I was grieving and thought it was a ghost at the time, but now realize that it's very common for grieving people to experienced auditory and sensory hallucinations/illusions because the brain tries to comfort itself by substituting in the person they've lost. Its very common, and as much as I wish that had really been my opa smiling at me, it was most likely my brain trying to comfort me.

    I had the same thing. My dad was diagnosed with cancer. When my dad invited me up to his house he told me the news he had cancer in the bladder, i was broken, and so upset. The following day i was at work, and like Boogie i was also touched on the shoulder, although this was me being tapped twice on the shoulder. I was 100% expecting someone to be there.....no one, and i was taken aback by it. Tried to debunk it that maybe someone threw something, nothing laying on the ground to suggest so, it also felt like two fingers. I mean, who knows? At the time i wasn't sleep deprived so it wasn't that, and maybe there's another explanation but it's weird that this only happened the day after my dad broke the news to me. Wither those fingers tapping my shoulder was an angel, or some spirit to comfort me who knows? But it comforts me. So i can empathize with Boogie here.

    What is the ghost supposed to do if the real spiritual world doesn't match up with any of the world religions?
    Also even if this "ghost phenomena" is real how do we know those are actually intelligent spirits and not just memory in nature like imprints of the past?

    • @Ryan88881
      @Ryan88881 6 лет назад +11

      "On the other hand, I'm not even sure where the 'imprint' idea originated,"
      It came from Rupert Sheldrake. It's called morphic resonance.
      And yes it is still not fitting with the traditional "model" and it certainly is an example of trying to explain phenomena with more phenomena or using a paranormal occurrence as the reason behind something else paranormal happening but at the same time our "model" of science seems to slowly transform anyways. What was "phenomena" 600 years ago was not the same as today. So ya it still leaves a lot more questions than answers if this is true but it was mostly a statement to the people who believe in that kind of thing already. Because yes they may have seen a ghostly spectral or apparition or they are sure they heard or felt something but is that immediately proof of the afterlife? What exactly do you do once you have that information other than just your best guess? Because you don't really know if what you saw was intelligent, I mean it may be interactive but that doesn't mean it isn't just some kind of energy "left behind".
      So not so much a scientific explanation but more so an additional question assuming that we actually *do* see a ghost. I think this question is only valid at that point. The point that you can observe the phenomena in question which is ghostly apparitions. I do personally believe in an afterlife but I don't know if I'm quite convinced about these supposed apparitions (if they do exist) being intelligent or autonomous entities. Because most of what I hear about with ghosts and ghost stories sounds a lot more morbid and paranoia inducing rather than divine. I really just think a lot of this ghost stuff is just the shit left behind and we just don't quite scientifically understand things like energy and morphogenetic fields yet.

    • @Pheer777
      @Pheer777 6 лет назад +1

      Interesting stuff to read about. I'd seen some talks given by Rupert Sheldrake, and even though he's considered a pseudoscientist by the general scientific community, it's important to move forward with the humility and knowledge of just how much we don't know or understand.

    • @Ryan88881
      @Ryan88881 6 лет назад +3

      +Yegor Lyubkin
      Yeah and I mean I wouldn't even call it pseudoscience because that is implying that someone is trying to pass it off as actual science which I don't think Rupert Sheldrake ever did. I think he just conveyed his hypothesis and expressed his feelings about what we should explore in science. It's like scientists just want to criticize someone else and act like it's their stand alone idea when I think people like Sheldrake are simply suggesting that the scientific community as a whole should explore it not that Sheldrake should be judged as an individual separate from the rest. It's like so many of these scientists only want to consider and break down what's right in front of them, in other words whatever's "easiest".

      It honestly doesn't sound like how I would want to spend my afterlife. Wondering around aimlessly in the shadows even if it's just to "peak" into this world occasionally. I think if there is an afterlife then it's very far away from here and this world.

    • @Ryan88881
      @Ryan88881 6 лет назад

      +Paranoid
      That's my other hypothesis, however isn't that kinda already the conventional/technical definition of a ghost?

    This made me cry because my cousin and I made the same pinky promise to let each other know if there is an afterlife. When he passed away 3 years ago, he visited me so many times the following year- sometimes I was awake and other times sleeping or like in another realm like a sort of visiting area between heaven and Earth. I know it sounds crazy but nothing can convince me that it wasn't real. The thing that we must achieve is to learn how to LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY!!!! It also just so happens that my cousin's birthday is coming up next week, he would have been 31.

    My personal story to do with ghosts (I have a few but this is my favorite) is one to do with my beloved dog Daisy passing away. I was upset and angry at her passing, and more than anything, I wanted to go back to the Vets to get her back, however, Daisy had autoimmune condition, where her muscles in her head were being eaten away, inflamed, whatever. Essentially, she could not eat, drink, play ball (she was old but still playful), you couldn't pat her head without her being in pain, etc, so one night, we knew it was time. Tail between her legs, walking back and forth and ears back. Restless.
    A week later (after her passing), I was asleep in the early hours of the morning, and I felt her. She would walk up the side of my bed and bloop herself near my pillow. I turned around to face her and I spooned her. Buried my face in her fur (which I could smell). Eventually, I leaned on my back and Daisy also moved on her back and rested her head on my chest and my head on her head. I rubbed her leg to give her some affection. She was always the baby for attention.
    That was it. When I woke up, I was shocked. It was very real to me, the weight of her body to the smell of her fur, to the movements/routine she would make when she came into my room when mum was heading off to work at 7am. All of it. And it was very vivid to me. There were times when I would see her in the corner of my eye or felt her presence, as I would think of her randomly and cry.
    Ghosts don't have to be a thing to fear as most religion do or because religion have such a say in what happens after we die, people would try to rationalize away something, that could very well be real. It seems death and the afterlife is very taboo on both sides of the spectrum. But there are much more positive experiences that people have when it comes to death or afterlife and I feel that it stops needing to be taboo, something to fear, and something that can give people still living, a bit of hope to the ones they've lost or comfort. To me, life after death isn't solely a religious thing, but a experience anyone can have without following "the rules".

    The first time I came over after she died, I sat down in the living room and I felt her chin rest on my leg the way she always did. It was unmistakable.

    I got a story that I'd like to tell Ethan on the phone for the cast one day or something, my mother told me this story and she swears on everything she loves, her life, everything that it was true. I was about 3 when my grandfather had passed away and my mother always told me my grandfather and I were very close I'd always help him work around the house, we'd watch TV, I ate what he ate we did it all together. Sad thing is i don't remember a single second of it all nor even remember him because I was too young. He had passed away from stomach cancer and about a week after he passed I was in my room alone and my mother was alone in the living room. She eventually could hear me speak and she said it almost sounded like I was carrying on a conversation with someone but she couldn't hear anyone else but me. She called me into the living room and asked me who was I talking to. I had said "Papa". My mother said the moment I had said that she got super freaked out and told me to wait here and she walked around the house with a knife checking everywhere looking for any signs if someone broke into our home. She thought someone old aged man broke in and starting pretending to a grandfather on my dad's side of the family or something. She never did find anything but when she came back into the living room she had asked me what did Papa say and I said "he said everything is going to be okay and not to worry" my mom broke down and cried when I said that. Strange thing is my grandmother kinda had a experience that same day earlier too. She she woke up that morning and was in the kitchen making coffee and she could smell cigarettes like my papa was in the living room watching TV and drink and smoke like he would always do. She said she almost started to ask if he wanted a cup of coffee but of course there would be no response.

    I have heard noises I swore were real, but still had some odd effect that made me realize they were just mental. Remember stimulus is just the brains electrochemical responses to something, theres no reason you could have felt an actual, REAL, stimulus on your shoulder. I appreciate your pessimistic outlook on the situation though. I have had a similar experience where a good friend passed, and something "supernatural" took place afterwards. While I figure beyond almost any doubt it was coincidence, its interesting to have that sliver of hope.

    When my nana died I was holding her hand, and all the rest of my family was in the room. It is hard to explain, but it was like they were not with us. They were talking, and waiting, but it honestly felt like me and her had slipped into another dimension. Maybe nothing happened for Boogie, but that wasn't the case for me. Anyway, I couldn't let go of her hand, because I was holding her with me.... so hard to explain. My family had to pull me off because I wouldn't let go, but then I felt her go through me and basically ask me to let go. I'm sure this is all chemicals in our brain and whatnot, but it honestly didn't matter. I knew she was dying and she had opened her eyes, but I knew that she was about to pass soon, and it really felt like such a loving and heartfelt good-bye, and I had never really been able to comprehend just how much she loved me, and it felt like she was silently telling me as her breath left, and she was staying with me and holding me for the last time. Nothing has ever felt so real.
    I really, really don't care about dead bodies, because I feel so strongly that the person has left, and it is just decaying meat and bones. For me, their spirit might be around, but it isn't in their body. I feel respectful of bodies, but I don't feel like it is actually the person anymore.

If you disobey this then you will go to a Chinese restaurant where they serve you duck for eternity. Who wants to eat duck. I'd rather eat spaghetti

    Its a real big shame Boogie wasnt in that hospital bed. Its a shame. So many people lost so much money over this pathology lier.

    Ugh this reminds me of when my grandma was in hospice at the end of her life after a long battle with cancer. My immediate family as well as an uncle and cousins were there. After many hours a majority of the group went to the cafeteria for a break leaving my mom and I alone with my grandma. After only a moment or two my grandma (who was in a comatose state) quite suddenly took a single gasping breath, that startled the shit out of my mom and I. That was her final breath. She was gone. Weird moment that frankly I sort of wish I wasn’t present for. Oh well, miss you grandma!

    I believe it was really his mother. Trying to reach out to him before she went to heaven to say she's sorry.
