Thank you for this demo. Well. for myself. I believe that it is one of the coolest and most useful options to get Ambient Occlusion, I would rather call it "Interactive Ambient Occlusion" or the fast accurate rendering!. Many people will find this very useful if they are like myself not in love in so much rendering and much more into flat colors rendering, but we just needed a more rendering orientation to give more depth into the scene sometimes. So well done. by the way, Mid-Range, Low Rage PCs. Workstations will not have to purchase a high-end graphics card to get these wonderful scene results. I hope you make another video detailing the but in Layout. Thank you.

I think this is a very cool feature, it makes the model more realistic with no efforts at all.
    3:23 Sepia?
    Thanks Tyson and dev team

Nice work, love the depth this adds to a 3D model. Very excited to use this feature.

    Ambient Occlusion is appreciated
However, it is still cosmetic, not substantial on SKP's part.
The Program has the potential to be more than a simple ´´first stage´´ of design.
I want to highlight what VBO has done, with 5D, by taking it to a real BIM, to what was done in Vietnam and Thailand, with sketUniverCity.
I believe, with all due respect, that they should get out of their comfort zone and make substantial adjustments because if they don't do so they discourage people from wanting to renew since the in-ins are what make the difference.
The market demands BIM, and AI. The tools to jump to the next step must be given, the tools exist, although dispersed.

If I don't get the new tool, I've already updated to the new version but it doesn't show where it should be, what can I do?

Make sure that you are using the new graphics engine in your settings. Ambient Occlusion only shows up if that is enabled.

if style menu is not open, you are not showing how to open it. And excactly that is a missing step in this tutor. You fill find it under "window" menu, than styles

For me SketchUp is a design tool and, although I have used it in the past as a presentation tool with clients, the added ambient occlusion style is far from rendering tools I now incorporate for client presentation. Will it be helpful in the design and development stages while I prepare a model? Maybe, but I doubt it. SketchUp should concentrate more on developing integrated tools that I am now paying extra for as extensions through third party developers. That is what would make SketchUp a more robust design tool, not the overhyped addition of the new ambient occlusion style being marketed to the masses. SketchUp is way too far behind the curve to claim rendering capabilities.

agreed, is is nice, but far from rendering. And about plugins also i agree. They even do not support those third party developers, zero support. Trimble is arrogant USA company, sorry We have plugins working in 2022 that do not work in 2023 well. And trimble refuses to support the third party developers, they do not know what to do. Crazy situations.

@@REDCARSCoverband "Trimble is arrogant USA company"
Respectfully, I could not disagree with this statement more. Trimble is a fantastic company that is always looking for ways to improve their products and services to users worldwide. In order to do so, they know they must listen to constructive criticism from their users. Perhaps this is the wrong forum for that, and my criticism may have been a little too harshly written here. If so, my apologies to Tyson and the gang. I have been an avid SketchUp user for over a decade and seen countless improvements. None of us are perfect, but we can always strive for better right?
Also, Maybe I have misunderstood your language translation Stevie, but the use of the word "arrogant" and the hint of a negative perspective of the United States of America has no place in constructive criticism. We are all progressing in this world together. Peace Bro.
