Wonder how she would have felt about her son Henry becoming a tyrant?
This was beautiful.
It really is sad how everyone around her overshadowed her. But from what we do know, she seems to have been happy with Henry.
Agreed :) Thank you !
It seems she had more rights to the throne than Henry ( of course in the York line). And yet Richard 11 was King and then Henry beat him. No one considered Lizzie for Queen.
Well, Elizabeth Woodville's curse struck down Elizabeth of York's eldest son, Arthur, as well as Henry VIII's son, Edward VI, both at the age of 15. Vengeance for the deaths of her sons, the princes in the tower.
I thought the same, how strange !!!
LOL Yeah, and Henry VIII's daughter, Mary I, became queen, but died after only a very short reign with no heir. Then his other daughter, Elizabeth I, ruled England through her Golden Age. But she died childless, and the line of Tudor ended with her. The throne passed to the James Stuart, son of Mary Stuart of Scotland, whom are the direct descendants of Elizabeth of York. Weird, huh? Elizabeth Woodville's curse really decimated the Tudor line down to the last heir.
Admitting there truly was a curse ;)
burnwithu but why did Elizabeth made a curse was she accused of witchcraft
Well, Elizabeth Woodville wasnt liked by most of the nobility because of her origins as a commoner and as a lancastrian supporter, so they basically accused her of witchcraft and more espacially of having bewitched Edward IV so he could marry her. The TV show (and so Gregorys book) is exploiting this to add to the plot, thats all :)
so glad you're back.
the video was great, Elizabeth was truly a fascinating woman.
I hope you'll also complete the projects with Anne Boleyn (Shes my favorite xD)
Thank you ! :)
Yes, Im working on it, but im so slooooow ! x)
your editing is so great that it's worth waiting for ;)
awww best compliment ever !
There's no other Queen like her. She's a fucking Legend.
Thank You for this. It really educates us about the lineage and who was what. Very well done !
Elizabeth was such badass.Love her ♥
What is amazing is that every ruler of England from her going forward is a direct descendant of hers as with two exceptions all monarchs were either the child or grandchild of a prior monarch. The only two times they had to search beyond a grandchild was with Elizabeth I, but James I was a great-great grandchild of Lizzie York and Anne, but both Anne and her successor George I were great-grandchildren of James I.
She really was an incredible women. Having to choose between her two families, having to marry the enemy.
This is a real masterpiece!
I love the show & her character so much!
I love this historical figure so much ! I couldn't help but vid her !
Also the namesake of current queen.
welcome back darling!
I really like this video though I would have preferred not to see the box, but just the scripts... anyway I really like it!
Thank you my dear !!! Im so happy to be back, it feels good ! It was an astethic choice to me, it depends on peoples taste :)
She's grandmother of mary Queen of scots
I think she's Great Grandmother.
Margaret had a son, James the V who fathered the Tragic Queen of Scots.
But she is Grandmother to Edward the VI, Mary the I, and Elizabeth the I.
Great grandmother. Went Lizzie-----Margaret-------James V-------Mary (Queen of Scots). She was the great-great grandmother of the first Stuart King of England James I, and all Kings/Queens of England since are direct descendants of either their predecessor or a grandchild of a previous King.
I hate there is no s2 they did deserv a s2
100% agree !!!!
burnwithu What did you Best like about TWP
the fact that it showed Elizabeth of York and Henry VII who are oftenly overshadowed by their son - Henry VIII & his countless wives. And you ?
burnwithu what do you mean by overshadow by their son
we can consider "The Tudors" as the season two.
Wish the show would have been more historically accurate
Couldn't agree more. I had to quit watching it, it was too tedious to be continually shouting at the TV "That never happened!" "But what about .....?!"
the white princess or the white queen??
a happy marriage atleast...
One word.
Goosebumps
aww thank you, that means a lot !
Great video but I thought her motto was ‘Humble and Penitent’ ...
No. That was her motto on the show, not in real life.
burnwithu oh okay, another inaccuracy for the drama. But thanks for educating me :)
I don't know why they changed it tbh :)
guys guys can you tell me.. is this true story or not..? causee the ending is soo sad:( i'm new in england royal family
what do you mean by "this story" ? It sure is but some aspects in the tv show aren't :)
The TV show is based off a book. The "author" took facts, tossed what she didn't like and blended what was left with fiction.
Don't understand why people try to embellish or make up facts for the Tudors, they had more drama than a modern soap.
Actually, the story hasn't ended. It continues on to today with Queen Elizabeth II
More like that please
i will definitly do more video under this format, and about Elizabeth!
Where I can find this music?
Beautiful video ❤
everything is in the description ;)
England will not forget her, or its freedom we shall have after Brexit.
