Love your videos, learning a ton. I would love to know your keybindings? Also, grimoire of synergy or shadow and flame? Do you use the same build for bloodmoon, or do you go Meta?
My key bindings are a bit of a mess, having played since og open beta...and I can scarcely remember what they actually are when making a new character until I try to hit a bind I'm expecting to be there. It's just years of muscle memory.... 1-6 are sburn, sbolt, immolate, corruption, then agony, blank (wand now, if sm/ruin siphon life is 5, agony is 6)....lots of the runes are weirder binds (like chaos bolt is shift-2) because I haven't changed 1-6 in 20 years. Fear is always g, drain soul always f.... And there's some overlap between all characters as well. As for pvp grimiore, shadow and flame always. Synergy requires using your pet (which gets it killed) , and the proc rate feels bad... Where shadow and flame is up constantly if you're running Demonic grace (still up a fair amount w/ incinerate) As for blood moon... I'll be honest I kinda hated it on my l lock. I prefer playing really controlled, and meticulous... Where blood moon is anything but. I had equal success running chaos bolt as meta though. Slightly different strengths.. Felt like team around me made a bigger difference in coins. Chaos bolt gets the head shots, meta gets more tags.
hey mate can you show the talents and runes, because I'm struggling to understand how to best use the desto lock in pvp so i hope you can help me, thanks a lot
www.wowhead.com/classic/talent-calc/warlock/--5050005102205141 For talents. The 2 points in improved searing pain are filler basically and can be in a number of other spots, none of which being super impactful. Runes: run tactics chest, chaos bolt gloves, and either incinerate or Demonic grace on pants (both viable, slightly different playstyles). Belt is damage after critting... Boot is.. The one that gives spellpower from pet health/mana can't think of the name offhand.
Proactive Wpvp where you're attacking anyone that remotely comes into your range it's strong..... reactive pvp where you're getting jumped by a rogue is going to be much much rougher. You'll want to wear a more stamina centric set than what I'm wearing for this video to try and survive the rogue openers... BEYOND that, it's still going to be rough without coil (we get at 42), beyond all that, SOD has some specific hard counters for us right now.... Ferals are worse than rogues since they can immune fear entirely (though undead rogue can trinket and wotf 2 fears, and will kill you before they come off DR, and shadowpriest can be a VERY big problem, and near unbeatable for destro if they open on you with homonculi because of the pushback they will cause.
i will get the hyperconductive set just cuz im delusional that i will be more tough to kill hahah and i hate that green thing that screams to the world im running with 0 stamina lol , as new warlock under geared and un skilled i dont want to shoutout my lack of stamina to the world;p i dont care about 10 dps more in pve or at least for balance druids the difference between sets like full leather is 5 dps lower than 2 leather and 1 irradiated boots and hyperconductive is around 10 dps lower than the top parse dps set. I guess the difference is the same for warlocks on sims ?
More about loot competition really.... Irradiated is just super easy to pick up as a caster dps.... Only just started getting my hands on hyperconductive myself, now that my guild has it (currently chest/boots). If I where a tank spec main, I'd probably have gotten prio on it though.
I don't really plan to make 1v1 content, sadly, for two reasons: 1. Being honest, destro simply isn't that good of a dueling spec. It's great for bgs, when you can throw minions (other players) into the opposing team, and safely cast behind the meat shields, but doesn't do nearly as well when pressured. Being a relative glass cannon type build as well hurts in dueling specifically. 2. The dueling "rules" really hurt destro generally speaking. Like being tethered to a central dueling flag caps your ability to kite backwards in a way that isn't an issue in bgs, letting your opponents wait to reset their cooldowns (when a major strength of lock is that barely have any cds and aren't reliant on them to win a fight), and doing weird things like allowing openers that you wouldn't do in a bg (like it's less a thing in sod because Warbringer lets warriors charge in combat, but in regular vanilla you'd literally never let a warrior get in range to charge you without hitting him with like curse of shadows/exhaustion to put him in combat and deny the charge). My vids will stay bg related, and until I'm finished capping ab rep (2/3rds of the way to exalted) will be exclusively ab. Once I'm capped, however I'll mix some wsg in as well... And maybe a few token avs once that is out, though likely not many avs since it's barely pvp.

Can you survive on world pvp with this talent?
