Love destro! Only issue I’m running in to currently is spriests kiting, can’t seduce Ferals and 2+ melee at once due to no death coil. P3 looking good tho!
Finally getting some answers to my pvp lock questions without even asking them - good vid! Any chance of adding you on discord to pick your brain regarding p3 specs for both pvp and pve?

Oh and regarding p3 stuff... I did a video about the datamined info you can check out, though I couldn't make it an actual pvp video since it's hard to focus on blasting and talk runes/mechanics XD. The tldr is we're going to have 4 viable specs that I can see next patch. Soul link +affliction, conflag destro, shadow mastery affliction +sburn, and nightfall/ruin
@@rn077 replied to this question a few times on other vids, somna has asked it a number of times.... I don't really have plans on making pure 1v1 content, for 4 reasons: 1. Dueling places arbitrary rule sets into the mix and imposes certain restrictions on the fight that aren't present in bgs. For example, being tethered to a central dueling flag, where in a bg scenario you are free to kite more or less indefinitely. Other things are customary like letting a warrior charge to open (though this is less a thing in sod, since they can charge in combat), when I'd literally never let a warrior get to 24 yards in a bg without putting him in combat with a cast. 2. The optimal dueling specs aren't the optimal bg specs. For dueling I'd be soul link. For bgs I'd be literally anything but soul link for increased range. 3. There's also watchability concerns with how soul link affliction plays. I'll likely make at least one video for it next patch, but it's really just not that exciting of game play to see. Destro/nuking based builds have burst and big numbers that are more watchable.... Soul link affliction is a whole lot of just kind of face taking everything, out healing it anyway, and slowly rotting the targets over time with a hundred tiny papercuts. 4. Aside from watchability concerns, I personally just hate that kind of slower playstyle. Even among nuking spec players I typically tend to gear for damage above all else because I also do nearly exclusively solo queu games, and I often frankly need every ounce of damage to carry whatever pugs are around. I like fighting with overwhelming force and ending the fight as rapidly as possible, and the more controlled, meticulous style that goes with it.
Can't wait for p3. Destro is gonna be even better and afflic might be playable. I played a little affliction today and it's so good 1 on 1 but real boring in bgs compared to destro
Lock should setup real nice for p3, and likely will have 4 different viable builds in soul link/impcorr/imp lifetap, conflag, shadow mastery/sburn, and nightfall/ruin. I am kind of worried that soul link is gonna end up as the best build though, it's gonna be a super tanky, "live lord", tickle them to death build.
@@TheDrosul destro getting Backdraft plus Death Coil is going to be absolutely insane. One thing I'm wondering is if the haste will reduce the cooldown on abilities as well as reduce the cast speed?
@@Arigato-Mister-Roboto of it doesn't lower the gcd I honestly might not run it at all, tbh... As it would cause timing issues for landing burst... And hell, it's already going to cause a few problems like making fear to fast off a cast to chase a travel time long cast nuke, since the fear will land before the nuke (chaos, incinerate, sbolt) does, and get immediately broken. That all said, I MIGHT not run a ton of conflag anyway next patch. I'm really itching to get a nightfall/ruin build going if I can.
@@kasium18 I've got a video running sbv, it's definitely fun, but you also lose a ton of single target burst via no chaos bolt in your primary burst combo, and a weaker sbolt in your secondary combo (was running Demonic grace for that one) I did a couple games trying it with incinerate on legs so I could sbv for aoe/cleave and still have incinerate for my single target burst combos but it felt worse. I'll definitely play with it more in p3 though as I plan on playing a lot of nightfall/ruin (and nightfall proccing) sbv should be fun, as well as conflag destro getting 30%hasted sbv spam via backdraft rune likely being really solid. I do think that overall, we won't really see a super good sbv build until 60 when sm/ruin comes online, and they finally add AV, where sbv should be more able to cleave reliably. Also, fwiw, the rank of sbolt we're getting in p3 will suck =(. So may have to wait for 60 just because of that
SoD pvp is definitely too fast right now, but this isn't any different than how warlock plays in regular vanilla either, tbh. The only real difference here is that my big damage combo here starts out green (chaos bolt) instead of purple (sbolt) and does more damage. Sm/ruin at lvl 60 in regular vanilla after late bwl gear will basically sbolt into searing pain into sburn drop 85% of a target's health non crit, and outright globals people if does crit. It also can theoretically drop up to 15k in a global by late aq40/naxx gear levels... When naxx geared players with flask usually only have 5500 hp... Vanilla is just REALLY bursty.

Currently destro to conflag, with the two filler points in aftermath
