Finally getting some Warsong games recorded... Nice quick one here, hopefully can get some more competitive ones soon! Finding Aff and/or NF/Ruin to be pretty strong right now, way above deeper destro, particularly in WSG, but more vids of NF/Ruin and Destro to come!

Nice video 👍 What do you think is the most forgiving battleground spec in phase 3 for someone learning the ropes? Hard to choose between SM/SB, NF/ruin and SL.
I'd look at it more about what skills you want to learn.
Dotting and positioning? sm/sb. You'll have coex to help carry your positioning a bit.
Hybrid dotting and nuking? Nf/ruin giving you both range talents makes the build easier, so long as you can position well... But it's not a specialist build so you do have to learn to do both dotting and nuking rotations/combos
For learning pure destro nuking/positioning, this is the only time I'd actually endorse using meta rune. It's lower potential than chaos bolt, but it'll function as a training wheels version of the spec in the short term. Run incinerate pants and work on getting off the spell combos incinerate - immolate - conflag, and trying to hard cast during back draft windows. The double life tap + armor + instant searing pains can be a kind of safety net to cover mistakes in positioning until you get it down better... Once you do, you can sub chaos bolt in the rotation when you would have icin incinerated.

love it. what weak aura/ui mods do you use?
ElvUI is the base ui. Pitbull unit frames. Neat plates for name plates. Battleground Targets. Dbm pvp mods, capping. Recount. Weak auras. should be everything visible on screen I can think of.
Should try shadowbolt volley with nightfall, wonder if thats any good lol
It's quite nice if you can get 5 targets together.
With the current low rank of sbolt (the next rank is at 52) sbv is a bit weaker than should be. It is still good for stv event though, so perhaps I'll get a sbv video again for this phase
You good player but I swear you vs bots. I always get targeted as a lock to stop me from fearing healers and keeping curse of tounges on them. I barely get chance to hard cast anything
wouldnt having master channeler help with some sustain?
The entire point of getting the range talents is so that you don't have to stand in charge/intercept/counterspell range. Master channeler means casting drain life, which means being 24 yards to target, when you almost never want to be closer than 31 yards. It just opens you up to way more opportunities to get hit/focused

I still don't see the reason to go all the way down to ruin
The burst with bolt into haunt into burn is pretty solid, just didn't get much nuking done this game because they where dying so fast.... Beyond that it's really more about getting both destructive reach and grim reach, ruin is just a bonus.
shadow bolt crits for like 1300-1600 vs like 800-1000 with out same with shadowburn
