I always forget how much Hadestown changed in Broadway previews. They were really still working on it right up until the last second. So many shows nowadays feel too locked in and unwilling to make obvious necessary changes. That willingness to change and sacrifice for the betterment of the show is what made Hadestown so successful.

I watched a diff slime tutorial of this a long time ago but with urs I can finally be fully immersed in the video, thank you :')

all the people crying during epic iii and the soft gasps after the flower appears in hades’ hand end me god i love this show sm
at first in epic III when the audience laughs at "ah it's about me" i thought it was excessive and i was like LET HIM SING but then i realized that the audience laughing at hades has so much to do with how much the audience is incorporated in this show, and how it affects orpheus. he feels alone and has little hope but he has his song and he has eurydice and the team of workers who are just as desperate as he is and LALALA i can't- this song is so beautiful
I love that Herme's is just Orpheus's buddy throughout the entire show

I think my favorite moment from this has to be during epic iii where we can actually see when hades gets the flower from his pocket at
Everyone’s voices are unbelievable from the OBC but Patrick page’s voice as Hades is just otherworldly. Never heard anything like it before

The last song of the musical is so under rated. That’s what makes the show a gem. To almost start again…genius.
