Just found you...currently devouring watercolor/mixed media/ markings... Such synchronicity and messages from the universe. Just watching and learning. I am also March 25. No accidents. I guess you're my new guide. Thank you in advance. 🙏🏾
I sure did enjoy this video! ❤ I felt like you were speaking my language of how I feel/think when I do art. Kinda all over the place but controlled. I loved seeing your pages that you wipe your brushes on. Parfect base layers to continue art making. I look forward to many more of your videos! Thank you so much! Susan in Az🏜️🥰
Allison, Watching you in this video today was exactly what I needed! Now I’m ready to pick up my paints and move along with my style of playful art. I’ve learned so much from you! Thanks my Dear!
@@allisondawrant I’d say that to allow myself to experiment with materials, techniques and colors and not be intimidated to do so. Keep on trying to learn for the pure joy it gives back to me.
Thank you for your video neighbour, my name is Sam and I am a granny to 6 wonderful grandchildren who I love to make art with. I live in Vancouver BC. I can’t believe you have snow today, I can’t wait for snow to come down here. I love finding new channels (new to me!) I’m new to WC and recently purchased 6 of the BEAM paints and I love them. I look forward to seeing more of your channel.❤
Such the truth that we are never done with our art piece - just have to know we must be done so we can move on to our next piece. I can’t tell you what an inspiration you are to me. I look forward to your videos and being inspired. Thank you from Sunny Venice Florida 🌞
Great upload sister Allison 👍👍Beautiful Almanac.Thank you for sharing these artists too. Congratulations to all of you. Christine Karpiak and Rae Missigman 's work are beautiful, I watched till the end and visit Chris Karpiak to check out her Creative process and join the following. I will visit more🎉 the book of Rae Missigman looks so inspiring too.
missed you...yr sweater inspired me to list colors & pulled out my 36-color neo 2 water soluble palette (Sophie mcpike inspo) & dug out of season blues...ty.
I just love your content, and I learn so much! Last night dreamed of saying goodbye to someone important to me - I dreamt about it in art. 🖼️ I thought that was pretty amazing. As a newbie, I hope one day I can create it IRL.
Love all of your projects and how you walk us through your thought process it’s so interesting to hear how other artists think. The round watercolors do you like them more than your kuretakes
The Beam paints are nice, but they are less pigmented and more transparent than the Kuretake. So- I enjoy them for play and painting with my son, but would likely not use them as often for work that I'm selling or my usual style. Thanks again for your continued support! xx
Loved everything you did and showed here Allison. And I am over the moon with back to back videos! Your miniatures with stitching and framed like that are gorgeous and very inspiring. I would love to learn more about creating small pieces. 💗 And I love the acrylic ink flower that you painted on today. I have been contemplating getting some Beam paints since I first saw them on Indigo's website last year (they no longer sell them). Your video spurred me to get on to Beam's website and make a long desired purchase. And I was surprised and pleased to see Black Friday savings once I added to cart! 🎉 This is a good day! Lol. P.s The struggle with keeping all kinds of odds and ends for collage fodder is so real! Now I have to get to work actually collaging with it!
fodder roughly defined is a collection of things that can be used for another thing. its often used when talking about people- so all of a politicians lies are fodder for their downfall. Its root is related to food- so in that way its a material that feeds something else. :)
Wow- thanks for sharing this. I've been meaning to look it up and learn more about it as I discovered the "Fodder School" workshops that some artists advertise on social media, and was quickly obsessed with this little calendar they collaborated on.
@@allisondawrant I was previously curious because I was more aware of it as a conversation type word (fodder as gossip or reputation) so i'd already done a rabbit hole. :)
Thats funny about drinking out of the paint water. I have 4 cats and no matter how much fresh water they have they always want to drink my paint water. I have to be extra careful to always remember to dump it out after a painting session. I’m terrified I’m gonna forget one day.
Good morning, what beautiful art you make. I enjoyed watching your video. I also tried it, but I soon noticed that it is more difficult than it seems, it is wonderful to do (and that is what matters to me) I have a question: "When I have finished painting, is it wise to should I let the paint in my color box dry before I put the lid on or can I close the color box while the paint is still wet?" Maybe a stupid question but I would really like to know. Love from the Netherlands 🖌️🎨🌹
that is a great question. I’m not sure of the answer. I live where it’s quite dry and I have closed the lid even when the paint still wet… no issues. Or not that I know of. thanks for watching and your insights.
Thank you for highlighting what fun you can have in a short amount of time and for showcasing the other two artists. So inspiring.
Thanks for saying this Judy! and for watching.
I love your creativity. You flow so nicely from one thing to the next and nothing is wasted.

Reach out to Chris , they may still be listed on her website! I've linked her website in the video description. She is also on IG
