The brightness is about the same as any other laptop. You just need to go into the Intel Graphics driver, and change the default brightness setting from 38 to 50, to make it match the default set for other machines. Samsung/Intel did this on purpose to help prevent OLED burn in. Once you set it to 50 (or whatever you want), the screen is capable of getting plenty bright. The audio is great too once you enable Dolby Atmos, it's off by default. Changing these 2 settings has GREATLY enhanced this machine for me personally, love it.

I don't know if I want to risk a screen burn in in exchange for a brighter screen.. I don't know much about technical devices, but I AM thinking of getting this one, so this makes me a bit worried.. also does it seem like it would be able to break easily? I remember reading a review somewhere in which a guy said that he broke the screen with barely anything right after receiving it.. what do you think, how strong has yours been do far?

Great update! I like seeing your insight on this. I have the 15" version- just put a 2nd M.2 drive in it for 2TBs. (13" version doesn't have a 2nd slot, but you can upgrade the factory M.2). For dual monitors with my S7+, I find the app SuperDisplay is amazing. With a direct USB-C connection there's no delay at all and it works flawlessly. I tried the Samsung wireless and it's just not nearly as reliable. I use a small 4inch USB-C cable and my dual monitor setup is perfect on this. I've had some palm rejection issues with drawing apps unfortunately, but it seems to be app specific as some work just fine. Really love this laptop though!

It's just that with the silences completely missing, it's a bit more difficult to process all the info - it becomes a word stream. But again, enjoyed the video very much, glad I found your channel!

I just bought the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 2 Alpha, the name is quite a mouthful, but it's honestly an amazing laptop. Battery life is exaggerated, as is the case with virtually any laptop, but it's quite the little workhorse. Samsung Dex still leads to be desired, it's a great idea in principal, just not practice, it's choppy, slow, and in no way responsive enough to serve even as a Chrome OS "style" replacement. What sold me was the AMOLED display, and it doesn't disappoint. One of the best laptops/convertibles I've ever owned.

Very impressed with this laptop. Just picked mine up today after coming from an older 2015 MacBook Pro. So far I have no complaints and fits my lifestyle perfectly. The ability to work on this laptop all day, and then flip it around to watch youtube or netflix is amazing. Some say the keyboard is awful, but it is all personal preference..... I absolutely love it. The only complaint I can find is that the speakers are not as loud as my MacBook I had, since the sound comes from underneath and is muffled if you're wrapped up in a blanket, with the laptop on your lap. Other than that, this Galaxy Book Pro is great!!! I have the blue 15 inch, i7 processor, 8gb ram, and 256gb storage. Does everything I need to and more!! Battery life on mine is around 15-16 hours with a full 8 hour day working with web browsing, excel, word, and outlook, with more than enough battery for youtube and netflix in the evening. I highly recommend this laptop for anyone in the market for a lightweight, sleek, and fast functioning laptop!

I bought on of these in october 2019, so a year and 4 months ago. I love the look. I love the S pen, I love the colur and the idea of multi use. However it has been nothing but trouble since the very bginning. Sumsung customer service has also been very less than adequate, quite often telling me simply untrue things. such as that my warranty has expired when it hadn't.
Amongst the problems; the first and most dissappointing was that resolution on my 13 inch is so poor...text appears more less sharp than my 10 year old mac. It's very difficult to see the screen in normal daylight conditions... shiny and full of reflections. I have intermittent feedback on my speakers, the trackpad doesn't work prpoerly, meaning everything is difficult. I cannot even select multiple items to drag. Thank goodness there is a touch screen otherwise I wouldn't be able to use it all at times; the fingerprint sensor has stopped working after around a year. Sometimes the keyboard backlight does not light up, making it difficult to log on in the dark. it's noisy with fan noise, and its just not easy to use at all. Finally, now the screen has broken down and disintegrated into lines, and the hinges have become so weak that it can't hold itslf upright as a laptop. I have hardly used it in tablet position at all, so this is a really poor level of quality. I ws advised yesterday instore that screen problems may be because of the loose hings, and trouble iwth mouse control might be track pad pressure. Customer service in store in general have been extremely unhelpful, despite being promised the same service as the spple genius bar, this is really not availabe. The store is so noisy with loud music that the whole experience is very stressful. Sending the device for repair has resulted in the operating system being replaced, thus wiping out all my data and passord, but no repairs to the actual laptop. I am so dissappointed I can't tell you guys. Not least because I bought an expensive phone and watch so that I could get a whole suite working together and now I realise I have wasted my money and I should have gone with apple. Furthermore the case is very thin metal and I managed to get a couple of tiny pin head size dents on it within the first couple of days (Samsung did not have any covers to fit this laptop at the time I purchased), and now customer services try to imply that I have caused damage to the unit myself. To my mind the worst failings here are customer services. when I bought it instore, they didn't have the larger version and they didn't explain that there was extra ram available on the larger verion. also the screen seem very small on the 13'... and I was heavily pressured into buying the smaller version because they didnt have the larger in stock. I wasn't told that I could return it for a replacement within 30 days, so I missed that opportunity even though it was clear within the first month that there were serious problems with the unit. First time I tried to get a repair, I wasn't given any reference number, or instructions, so when a courier turned up to collect it I wasn't confident enough to hand my laptop over to an unknown person. Evntually sending it for repair resulted in only the operating system being reloaded which didn't fix any of the problems. Trying to send it again for repair I was told the warranty was expired ( I have since found this was incorrect). Over a year of struggling with this piece of junk, and I have had to buy a mac so that I have back-up while I send this for fixing again. It's not just the waste of money on this laptop, it's that whole waste of time and stress, and that I can't use my other products which I bought to go with it easily... I do see there a lot of good reviews, but I have had nothing but trouble with this expensive bit of kit, and with Samsung customer services.

*Rant Warning - Nothing against the channel*
Really wish someone would ACTUALLY do a review from a work/business perspective. I'm sorry, but playing around in photoshop/premier rending stuff all day is not that realistic. Yes some do, BUT more than likely their sole focus will be on those one or two apps. As a consultant with multiple clients I find my self being RDPed into sometimes 3 machines/servers at a time throughout the day. Multiple citrix instances and not to mention the plethora of word and excel spreadsheets, Teams, and one note.
My point is every single review on RUclips is the same. Can it play Fortnite, run photoshop/premier and normal everyday consumers worried about fingerprints on the shell instead of actual performance. So what it took 1 extra minute to render, go get a cup of coffee.
What happen to the days of testing actual workloads before the machine starts to show its true colors? Put the damn thing through some stress.

    ?What to change?
    16:9 > 16:10
    1080 > 1440p (would that be noticeable)
    370nits > moaR
    60hz > 90hz
    Arm inside?
    Bonus e_gpu adapter 🤨 🤨 🤨
Would you just use the same screens thought to be in the tab s8+ 12.4 and s8 ultra 14.6?
Also for the fan noise. . . I'm wondering if disabling turbo boost in bios would be effective (as it was in my dell).
Q: as it is, do you think this device would be a great alternative to a tablet like the s7? Or are refinements on say a tab s7 enough to make prefer it for fine notetaking, reading etc.

They need to fix up some major stuff for the next iteration.
    1. Maybe offer an Ultra Version with better graphics, 16 by 10 AR and better speakers. Maybe getting g rid of the numpad can allow for forward firing speakers on the sides.
    2. Slightly brighter display.
    3. Bigger battery will help.
    4. They shouldn't be afraid to have it a bit thicker than it is.

hi, Very nice review. I like the Samsung device (recently bought the Tab 6 lite). I am thinking about this laptop as a replacement for my Dell XPS 13. I was wandering how well does it performs for web use. I usually use BaseMark 3.0 for web bench marking and I wander what results you will get if you perform it in the fanless mode. Could you please check this. This looks like my dream machine not including the fact that it is not fanless. Thanks for the review!

    DISCLAIMER
This laptop has worked well for me BUT... I bought this laptop a few months ago for school and this laptop has a KNOWN issue. The screen will form a hairline crack across the screen with minimal use and there are many people online who have had the same issue. Mine had this happen after only a month of use, and I was unable to use my laptop for the next 2 weeks while I was having it repaired. During this process I had a few issues with the customer service and they tried making me pay for the service which was 650$ for the screen replacement. This was very disheartening to me as a first year college student and made school work fairly difficult. If I were to buy again I would go with another laptop which is more durable.
In regards to the laptop, the form factor is lovely and I have had no other issues with it, but having a cracked screen on a 2 in 1 laptop is a HUGE issue so I would not recommend it no matter how well it works.

Great review, thank you very much. I have been looking at getting the newer Book2 Pro 360, any thoughts on how that would compare to the one you reviewed here? Since I want to stay with the 13.3" and I believe Windows shouldn't be run on less than 16GB RAM, I am limited to only 1 model, and that's the i5-1240P version which I do get a 512GB SSD storage with, but if I want an i7 version of the 13.3, they only offer it with 8GB RAM, at least in Canada anyways.
Can you make any comments on it? My desire is to pair it with the Galaxy S8 Ultra as well. I have had the Tab S6 since release, and I have absolutely loved it. I have been using the Samsung Note phones since version 1, and currently still have the 9. I hope to be able to upgrade to the S22 Ultra later this year. First the laptop and tablet, then the phone.

I've owned this laptop since Xmas, and my screen cracked by itself. I left it on my shelf for 8 days, with nothing sat on it or anything, and when I went to use it again, I found it'd cracked from the bottom of the bezel near to the right hand hinge. Samsung refuse to believe when I tell them I didn't damage it. I have to pay £266 to have the screen replaced.

Very good overview I enjoyed it 😃.
I believe the display is terrible for outside sun light when compared to others in this class as it just does not work well at all. As for the ECO system its so much further along that it ever was and potentially could equal Apple’s as they iron out the niggles. Love the way Samsung is constantly trying to innovate in a very competitive market and the S Pen is just well awesome they have that down so well.
Would I buy it - No - not with the present specs but I would if they had better choices and value for money.

Actually, the brightness is about the same as any other laptop. You just need to into the Intel Graphics driver, and change the default brightness setting from 38 to 50, to make it match the default set for other machines. Samsung/Intel did this on purpose to help prevent OLED burn in. Once you set it to 50, the screen is capable of getting plenty bright. The audio is great too once you enable Dolby Atmos, it's off by default.

the 360 is for artists also - so for drawing where you are really near to the display. its really the worst choice they "only" offer 1080p with the "pro"-version. They should have offer an 1440p version at least - as they do on their "Tab S8" tablets. with 1440p I would have bought the 13,3 inch model instantly! but I have to skip 1080p 😞
