Gonna be honest, This is the only strung out song I've heard and heard it on guitar hero but if the rest of their songs are like this, I think i might really like this band.
Ben If you're a metal fan, but diving into punk; I strongly recommended a band called POUR HABIT.. their album "Got Your Back" to be specific, the guitar licks, and double kicks will give you earboners.
@@rigoleum3273 BROOOOOO......so I was just on this huuuuuge f..king Propaghandi kick (the ENTIRE catalog, but I listened to Todays Empires... the song today 40x times) and that remixed Best Hits of Strung Out, and "Supporting Caste" Propaghandi LP led me to *POUR HABIT and mother of god....it's like Kid Dynamite, Ignite and 88 Fingers Louie had a gorgeous baby but it was hooked on Willhelm Scream & taking PCP*
Yes. I agree 100%. People see that these guys don't use the same chord structure or vocals as "old punk" bands and have more "pop punk" influences, so they link it to "pop" music (note: not popular music) and call it "bad." They just listen to music to feel like an individual, not to hear good music. These guys have been around longer than the people crying about their genre have even been alive. Much respect to Strung Out, regardless of their "genre."
Why does it have to be sad....the fact that you found Strung Out's music is absolutely awesome. It happened the way it was supposed to happen. Be grateful that you're life is way better now as a result of having Strung out and their music as part of it....
@@patriciakiley6551 just noticed your name, thats awesome to see you commenting here, and he is an amazing guitarist for sure, the solo here is one of my favorite ever. Have chatted with him a couple times at shows, always a friendly down to earth guy
Don't know why people don't consider this metal. Guitars are metal. Drums are metal. The vocals are on the edge of metal, but a lot of metal bands don't scream. This song is metal. And I'm a metalhead.
saw these guys in a little apartment in west philly with Lagwagon in the mid 90's with about 35 people at the show. they were great then and great now.
I wonder if I am a poser cause I heard this band the first time in like 1995 on a comp. tape from my friend... These guys have really paid their dues... who cares how they get exposure...
Am I the only person who loves these guys because there's something so accessible about them? I mean they don't really look like rockstars at all. Just normal guys you'd find working in an office or something. They just seem like awesome people.
I’m still tuning in, all these years later. Seeing ya’ll at Lyskfest was so… I cried 😅, whilst screaming the lyrics to every song. I was front stage, left, if anyone has pic of a cute blonde, punkrock girl with makeup streaming down her face, that was me 🖤
You helped me save myself…. I went through a VERY hard time in my late 20’s, I listened to ya’ll at the gym, if I hadn’t worked out like I did, I wouldn’t be here, I was SO angry & SO sad, nothing else helped me feel better, when I say PunkRock saved my life, it’s literal & it’s happened many times 🔥
yeah i love strung out. first song i heard was "analog" a few weeks ago and since that i try to get as much strung out stuff as possible. the sound is so amazing. hey´re the best rockband i´ve heard in the last years. they really kick ass
For some reason people are under the impression that 'real fans' listen to music in secrecy, never telling anyone when they hear something cool, because only they know how to properly appreciate good music.
Strung Out is the shit!! Why are there only a handful of videos on RUclips?!? I would think that out of all there songs you would see some more vids, I want to hear more!!!
@ContraCommando sure, i first heard this song on GH, but i first heard of this band 8 years ago. Didn't find out any sooner because i wouldn't even be born. And I know how you feel, you don't have to rage about it man. Feel happy your favorite band (or one of your favs) is getting known and not only this song being known
Heard the song, bought the CD, and now addicted to this album! Sucks that guitar hero is now dead (same with Jamlegend, i will never forget the first time i heard Safety), they showed me some great music! Drist, Voivod, AES, and These Guys! Fat Wreck Chords is also a very good company, Fat Mike is the owner and the bands get all the income from the albums! Generosity to the MAX!!! if you ask me!
Why hate on those who heard of this song from guitar hero? all its done is create awareness of the band/song. You should be thanking them for letting others in on such a great song. The ignorance on the internet....jheez
all these people hate on guitar hero when in reality it not only boosts awareness of some bands that are not well known but it can also help with hand eye coordination a lot, I had to figure out how to play bass and sing backup at the same time and i used guitar hero to help me so I can keep my eyes forward when I play. Also, guitar hero is fun to play with others, and we want fun right?!
The thing i love about this band, is they completly rock, drumming, guitar, bass, and singing, but the band members look like the average guys you'd find in the office XD. this band is great!
I remember when I was 13, listening to Vans Warped Tour 2007. Me and my cousin use to listen to this specific song over and over again, for idk how many years. One topic we said too, this song should be on Guitar hero. And it did actually come to Guitar hero: Warriors of Rock.
Okay, so I found this band 2 minutes ago through a "similar artists" thing for Rise Against (my favourite band). But I gotta admit, 2 minutes is all it took to have me loving these guys, just as much as Rise Against, if not more.
_Strung Out_, my favourite punk band. *Since forever*.
Gonna be honest, This is the only strung out song I've heard and heard it on guitar hero but if the rest of their songs are like this, I think i might really like this band.
Check out vanity its there best song

Such an underrated punk-metal gemstone! Awesome!
I'm more of a metal guy, but recently, I've been listening to a lot of punk, and this just rules
strung out definitely blend punk and metal very well. the whole dualing guitar thing they do is awesome
Ben If you're a metal fan, but diving into punk; I strongly recommended a band called POUR HABIT.. their album "Got Your Back" to be specific, the guitar licks, and double kicks will give you earboners.
Eww imagine being a metal guy
rigoleum pour habit is great, strung outs major influence on them really shows.

Absolutely love the guitar in this! Anyone else sharing this thought?
Jordan Sankus I love the variety, flamenco intro to punk verse/chorus in to a metal as fuck solo
These guys are awesome. Loved this band since '98.
ive been listening to strung out for over 10 years and seen them live, they never dissapoint
It's so sad that people (including me) have to discover this awsome bands by playing video games.
I learned about them thru the show called, clean house.. the drummer was a messy ass hoarder
Why, lol... You don't have to know EVERYTHING.
@@paralyzer2304 I know, I was just talking about this specific song genius
plus what are you doing replying to a 9 year old comment?
That is lol but then the radio doesn’t help
