The Defense strategy appears to resemble a scattergun approach, basically offering anyone with previous history of questionable behavior as a potential culprit. The inference he wants the jury to draw is that each alternative suspect is just as likely to be implicated in the crime as his client. However, he has nothing substantive to offer, evidently he feels formulating speculative questions which make the LEO witnesses appear confused or uncertain about their investigation somehow equates to reasonable doubt. I hope the jury just dismisses this as a fishing expedition, it produced nothing other than noise.

I think the Defence just gave the Prosecution a really really big piece of information without knowing it! When the Defence said that he (their client) heard them say that he said "she is hot" and he was upset because he didn't say that he said that he said "She was good looking"!!!! HOW would he know that she was "good looking" if he didn't see her until he looked in the trunk and saw her lifeless body???

I'm glad the State attorney finally had his fill of the Defense's nonsense and laid it out clearly that there was no one else to consider other than CBR after they had his confession and were able to locate Mollie's body, solely at his direction. All the key information came from the defendant, and combined with the forensic material found in his car, there was absolutely no reason to consider anyone other than CBR. The Defense's case is built on raw speculation and confusion, which in my mind falls far short of reasonable doubt. Their only hope for acquittal is built on the exclusion of his entire testimony, which will not happen here, but could be offered (again) on appeal.

But the judge, prosecutors & defense attnys all have it & litigated the issue prior to trial.
