There are many benefits of drinking hot water, and you can google it. In cold winter, I drink hot water, but in hot summer I drink cold water to cool down my body.

Is it true? Can you give a source about the hot water? Many poor countries has problem with water but I never heard that the govt urge people to drink hot water.

Raw water may contain bacteria or parasites, and boiling it kills most of them and protects human health
And we don't drink hot water when it's just boiling, we let it cool a little bit
