About NewsRadio:
At New York City's WNYX, newly hired manager Dave Nelson has his work cut out for him. Excited about such a high-profile assignment, Dave first sets out to fire his predecessor, which station owner Jimmy James has failed to do. But once that's done, there are more challenges ahead, thanks to a staff that includes headstrong on-air personalities Bill McNeal and Catherine Duke, high-strung writer Matthew Brock, offbeat secretary Beth, imaginative and tech-savvy electrician Joe Garrelli, and Lisa Miller, a veteran producer who thinks she should be running the show. Whether fighting to ban smoking from the newsroom, struggling to allocate staff bonuses during a budget crunch, or dealing with sexual affairs in the workplace, the enthusiastic yet naïve Dave looks to hang on to his old Midwestern values as he learns to cope with the new challenges of big-city life.

God, that was the greatest show, the writing and casting of characters was as perfect as it gets. RIP Phil Hartman.
Anyone could have played Joe Rogan's, Maura's & Kandi's parts much better.
0:28 "Oh, hahaha, so now he wants his old desk!" One of my favorite Bill lines.
What a great show this was ....the cast was perfect 👍
Top 5 sit-coms of all time. So good. They were all awesome from Stephen Root to Phil Hartman to Dave Foley.
And Joe Rogan was perfect in that role.
@@LC-ht7sg Considering he was basically playing himself, yeah he'd pretty much have to be.
Classic show. Def one for the archives.
Vince Gilligan spotted at 0:43
Phil Hartman was very funny in everything
Highly, highly underrated show.
the chemistry of the characters was perfect... this aged well !
Underrated 90s comedy.
Land of opportunitie my ass
Phil Hartman was a national treasure.
One of the best ensembles ever.
Jimmy James, the man so nice they named him twice.
Like children, aren't all of them?
We all gasped when Dave revealed that he and Matthew were having dinner. Dinner with the boss... and now Matthew's getting favors.
A lot of people in the media from New York and from this era were exactly like this, I have met a few.
Spoilt brats with over inflated egos to whom the world owes massive thanks for their over rated self worth.
@@thedave7760 I'm pretty sure that has only gotten much worse since then.
Dinner and a Desk!
Great show Mr James was my favorite
“Nice and safely under the tree” - jingle all the way
Who told you that you could eat my cookie?!
Drake Sather (Writer on NewsRadio) RIP
he passed away?!? no, i remeber him playing Jimmy's lawyer Roger for one ep when Norm was't available
Always liked the show. Had a real thing for the redhead in it.
The redhead was cute but the brunette aged better.
Beth, Beth, Beth! 😻
Dam man Phil Hartman RIP
“Would be shame it something happened to it”
Maura is very pretty
Newsthescout it’s a great sport show from blue pictures television.
Fuckn riot.
Good show but the audience laughing is tough on the ears
A product of pre modern sitcoms.
Oh, you Gen Zed-ers, with your cold fusion multi-function playrooms and electric platypuses. 🙄
This convention dates back to your great-great grandparents, when everyone gathered around a big box in their living rooms, or at their kitchen table, or the smaller one that was strapped to their tractors whilst they were out working in the field that was called a r-a-d-i-o.
You may have seen it mentioned in your kitch history social media videos. People used to listen to shows for 30 minutes or more without ever seeing anything that was taking place, except in their mind. They had audiences in the studios backthen too, that responded with applause and various other reactions.
typewriters are long gone
When the EMP munitions start detonating, they're going to be one of the few things to save you when communication still needs to be utilized and you have completely forgotten how to write in script or even block letters.
