Have you heard of the “3 date rule”? One of my friends swore by it when she was online dating. The idea is that even if you aren’t feeling it at first you give them up to 3 dates to make it happen. Maybe one date you’re off , maybe another date they are off....if by date 3 it’s still ‘off’ you can walk away and know you really gave it your all. I thought it was an interesting idea. Worked for me!!! Met my current bf online and the first two dates were atrocious. The third date was AMAZING! I am now 11 weeks pregnant with his baby and we are moving in together and he bought a ring. 😊 if I would’ve given up after the first or second date, I would’ve never been with my person.
Love the idea but in this day and age there is no way any woman would live by that rule longer than a month. Its now common for women to self identify as having "over 50 bodies" (their terminology not mine) by the time they are are 25. So when you multiple that by 2 to get the real number it doesn't leave much time for "the 3 date rule".
That said i totally think its a really great idea for those that can do it, also try to restrict from intimacy till that third date.

Personally I never did, if a lady was interested in me I would let her buy me a drink or dinner and I'm nothing special but it sifted out the women that wanted to get to know me vs the women that just wanted something for free

I didn't have a "spark" at all when I first met my husband. He didn't feel a "spark" with me either. He was my best friend for a little over a year before I realized I was in love with him. We've been married 13 years now and I'm so thankful I married my best friend!

I didn't like my husband at all when I first met him, but I gave him a chance. I fell in love with a man because of his wonderful personality and how he respects me. Sparks come in many forms so don't just base it on a physical spark or how handsome he is. You are missing many opportunities if this is how you want to approach it. This could be the reason you are not making any connections. You are young now but years go by so quickly and you may regret not giving them a fair chance. Best of luck to you Hannah.
