I'm old enough to be his mother but I still know a good thing when I see it LOL. They have a total of 4 channels but two of the channels are my favorite due to the participants personalities coming through the screen. So many of these channels similar to this in Pakistan and India don't do well due to the participants not having a good personality and not coming off well on camera.

A lot of the foods you are trying are served in small containers or amounts because they are considered very rich, meaning it contains a large amount of oil, butter, eggs, or cream. If you eat too much of a richly flavored food many people get upset stomach. The french cuisine is known for the richness of it's ingredients. They are so delicious, but should be eaten in moderation or small amounts. Thank you so much for your reactions to this custard. Mexican flan is much like that as well. Blessings my friends.

This resembles the baked custard my mom made. It's slightly firm.I found one like hers: 4 cups scalded milk,4 beaten eggs,1/2 cup granulated sugar,1/2 teaspoon salt,1 teaspoon vanilla extract,1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.Beat sugar salt and vanilla into eggs.Temper(mix a little at a time) 1 cup of the milk(should still be hot)into the egg mix.Slowly add the rest of the milk and beat briefly.Pour into custard cups or a baking dish, sprinkle the nutmeg over the top .Place in a larger baking dish and pour boiling water partly up the sides of the custard making sure none gets in it.Bake in a moderate oven until it sets ,about 30 to 40 minutes.Add water if the pan is in danger of going dry.

I love the enthusiasm of everyone. I think Mr Tahir is the comedian of the group. He cracks up at the end of almost everything he says. He's hilarious. Mr Chaudery has the wide eyed curiosity of a child. The two Mr Rana's and Ruquiya have the most beautiful hazel eyes that are made all the more beautiful by their lovely olive complexions. I never tire of watching and listening to these lovely people.
PS: Perhaps you could get the chef to make Pavlova. A meringue style dessert that both my country, Aotearoa-New Zealand and also Australia claim as their own. I don't care which of us made it first. I'm just glad it was invented. There are all manner of things you can put on top of pavlova, along with whipped cream but my favorite a range of berries and/or passionfruit pulp and/or kiwifruit. If it is made correctly, it will be crunchy on the outside and soft, almost like marshmallow under the crust. There's only three ingredients. Egg whites, sugar and cream of tartar. Not everyone uses the last ingredient but I find it works best. Some people substitute with a little white vinegar instead.

🌷🌷🌷 The thumbnail looks exactly like Flan, which is a Mexican Custard with CARAMEL (which should served on the top).
I buy packaged Flan (I find it at Walmart in with the chilled puddings) from a Mexican company in Bedford Park, Illinois called "Raymundo's". I recently got the idea to turn the cup of custard out onto a plate (caramel on top), and use my little kitchen butane torch to gently melt the caramel, which then drips down the sides.
Garnish with an orange slice and it's just as good as the Flan at my favorite Mexican Restaurant!
    Is there any difference between
French Custard and Flan? I'll have to compare recipes online.
🌷🌷🌷Greetings from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, USA! 🌷🌷🌷

    • @kaitnip
      @kaitnip Год назад +2

Not much difference between custards of any kind as far as the ingredients are concerned. Milk is thickened with eggs.
If it's meant to be sweet, you add sugar. May have a small amount of starch. If it's cooked on the stove top it will probably have butter added at the end.
That aside, custards are a w e s o m e ! Seriously awesome. They are easy and fun to try to make and then to tweak.

@@frankfertier34 French Silk Pie was actually an American culinary invention in 1951. I think the reason it's called French Silk Pie is because the filling is basically Mousse Au Chocolat. It's beyond delicious. It's made with a sweetened flaky crust, semi-sweet dark chocolate mousse filling and topped with whipped creme and dark chocolate shavings. This pie is as light as air and so incredibly decadent. The best (only) way to make the best French Silk Pie filling is to use a double-boiler. You can use either powdered unsweetened dark chocolate or the unsweetened dark chocolate blocks...the blocks are better. To make the topping use heavy whipping creme with powdered sugar and real vanilla. My next door neighbor makes the best French Silk Pie I've ever had, hands down. Whenever she makes it, she always saves me a piece. 💝

6:11 ahh…. In the US we also make custard. It is made with an egg base. I think that what you call custard is what we could call pudding. It is made with a milk base and is not as solid as a custard. It also jiggles and gets thicker when refrigerated but not as solid as a custard. By the way, custard is my favorite dessert!
Also, in the US fudge is traditionally chocolate. We do make other flavors, but if one says something tastes of fudge or tastes fudgy it is chocolate flavored. But if we say it has the texture of fudge then that can be any flavor. Not complaining, just explaining. ✌🏻🥰😊😆

Is this not Mexican flan? I suppose the French occupied Mexico. The bread they call bolios are basically French bread.
