We can make it, The man seh nothing thing do but all sitting around waiting on the Government and MP fi do but what will they do?.Why not clear the field yourself and ask for ball donation from us the viewers and kits.. Start something you self. Why not ask for instrument from abroad, us the viewers, a guitar here a, sax there. Beg and plead for retire music teachers from abroad even if they have to do shifts and volunteer to teach. etc etc etc Government assistance is good but proactive community leadership is major starting point. etec etc etc
Jamaica worst days are when they try to be self reliance and there best days are when they have outside help.

I'm visiting Negril Jamaica in 4 months. I wish I could experience the locals, they have such amazing culture and sense of community. The resort experience is basically America and Europe in a beautiful location. I want to witness authentic Jamaica sometime.

Do not go to far in country. They will BEG you to Death. They look at you like a meal ticket. Jamaicans are not loyal to Jamaicans so do not expect them to be loyal to you. You give them money ONE time and they will return that night for more. Do not listen to their sad stories most are lies. Just go and visit, party, drink and GO HOME.
@Pandekrah I heard it is very much DANGEROUS to go visit the locals. They know you are "green" and they will take advantage of you. Careful there. Just enjoy what you can enjoy.
Country cannot run without money, so education cannot be free
That is so sad that everyone is just sitting around, what's their skills, what can they teach the youngsters... People need to be doing something, be building something up in the community and in their home, be entrepreneurs sell whatever they have local to them whether it's fruits, vegetables.... Just get up and do something... nobody wants to do agriculture anymore but that's the most readily available business venture to get them started on the road to what they really want!

Daisy von Trapp No need to be nervous at all. I'm returning for my 7th trip in August. Been all over the island, out in the hills far from another tourist. Just be smart, but do meet some locals. Find someone willing to take you around. Yes, you'll need to pay them for their time, but it's worth it. You can see some really beautiful things and meet really beautiful people if you are open to it. Have fun!

They need to have some kind of technical center that can teach the ppl different trades.. mechanic, tiling, carpentry, roofing, plumbing things like that as for the woman cosmetology nursing office work and not charge so much that the ppl can't afford to go

Jamaica REALLY NICE!! However how about motivating the Youths to be Doctors, Scientists, Teachers, Electricians, Plumbers, Lawyers etc and run their own businesses. We need to think BIGGER! God Bless the little child looking for a good future being a Nurse and a Christian. Praise God for her. God bless Erica too for that heart.
