This game has excellent thematic parity with the mechanics, and looks great on the table, I think a rerelease in a twilight imperium style bigbox would easily fly today. I'd really like it to, fat little pricetag with 3-4 boxed fleets and a narrative campaign booklet with all the gubbinz, easy sell.
Great batrep, guys, thanks! Pretty brutal game. Justin, I think you forgot to have your Rio Close Action the Madrid over there in Turn 6, which might have killed it off, dunno. Well done, and nicely filmed!
47:30 -ish. He's right about a single UCM bomber being useless here, but I've seen Scourge and PHR get some excellent mileage out of single-token strikes against frigates. It's not a universally bad idea, just situational and a bit of a Hail Mary.
If anyone wants to play in a tournament we have a max 28 player tournament planned in Worcester (UK) for Saturday 21st October, details on Hawk Forum www.hawkforum.co.uk/hawkforum/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=10227.
This game really appeals to me. I wanted to buy in when it first came out but never did. The ships all look amazing and I love the fleet battle with bomber strikes and missiles and ground combat. But how swingy is it with the dice? It felt like early on you could call it for Dave already bc he was getting saves and Justin was barely rolling any saves. I'm good with dice games but it really felt like dice called this game. It's only my first watch of this so could be wrong. I'd really like to buy in but weary of this. I still want movement and actions to matter. How do seasoned players feel about this game?
The ships floating over the map are gorgeous, with space stations too. Does Hawk sell printed maps and tanks/infantry instead off counters? Personally I think the damage needs to be off map, it takes away from the superb look those dice and stuff.
32:50 Ugh. They're seriously considering forcing squadrons to stay on the same orbital level? Not seeing enough frigate squadron explosions already or something?

Fantastic, DFC has gone a bit under the radar so I'm glad to see it surface again!
A fantastic game that deserves more attention!
I don't know if beasts still read old video posts, but I would love to see some batreps on the tournament boxes
Recently getting into the game. These videos are brilliant!
would have liked to see the fleets closer. looks like a amazing paint job

Finding this just made my day :)
1:11:45 - ships don't explode in atmosphere :)
Nice BatRep! Could you do one with PHR and Shaltari? Greetings from Germany! :)

Great game!
where does one find the rules change mentioned? i have only found an faq that does not say anything about the burn-trough change.
Nice work!

Have they changed troopships so they can drop armor now?
pity it ended early as I am learning still and the more turns, the more I learn.

Agreed.

Were they using 5+ for 2200 Mass Drivers? Did that change or is it a mistake?
Yvainwa mistake i think
Nice bat rep
A little less polish on that head guy it's blinding me
