I absolutely love this video! Your truck is awesome! And I love this lengthy summary video showing all of your mods in one place. Thanks for all your hard work to bring us this great content! ❤
Finally received my 2023 AT4X On 12/30! I’ve got the “upgrade bug” real bad!! Literally have more time in ORDERING parts, than behind the wheel. Already have several Boost kits done, black badging, 1.5” spacers, same bed cover, latest Putco “Freedom Blade” light bar (waiting for delivery), NOT cheap ($563 US), hope it’s worth it! Anyway, LOVE your videos, not sure where you find all the time to be as detailed as you are, but please keep posting and I’ll keep watching!!!
I’m in MA… I just downloaded a Tint Waiver and had my doctor sign it. Mailed it back to the Registry of Motor Vehicles, and it’s that simple. But they do have the electric auto tint you can install. I mean…. I’d LOVE to see you install THAT product!
I just installed my Emblem not too long ago, and found an article by mistake. That yes, there is some kind of moisture/water intrusion issue. There is no known fix yet, other than to disconnect it. As worst case, it can damage the wires & connectors that go to the headlight. I have an idea, that my friend and I are going to try, as he purchased an emblem that is now on back order as well. Which is to spray plasti dip clear on the entire emblem to help seal it up. Not sure if it will work, but better than nothing, so fingers crossed that it will work!
Bought the plate LED bulbs.. and can't get my paw up in there to remove.. so, they went in the tool box.. LOL could be I'm in a 19 Denali not an at4. I watch all you stuff! Thanks!
I have been watching for a while, I appreciate your videos. I have a 21 trail boss so your upgrades are pretty much the same for my truck. Thanks again
So the GMC logo… mine died 8 months after dealership install, dealership said… thats not warrantied the break all the time, GM will never warranty it because of that. My answer was wow that is really weird. If you read the on GM website if it is installed at any point by a GM service department it will be warranted with your bumper to bumper 3 years or 36,000 miles. The dealer I was at refused! I haven’t made time to call GM directly. Now about the back order, it’s actually a Stop Sale by GM because they were lazy making this and it piggy backs off of a headlight plug which is where the water is getting in and causing the burn out as well as a fire hazard. My guess is the Refresh trucks were hard wired to the fuse box to correct this.
Great video buddy. I’ve been doing a few upgrades to my 2022 Trail Boss because of your vids. Next up for me is the wireless charger in the armrest. Can’t wait
I've added the s@b CAI, MBRP catback exhaust with carbon Fibre tips, roadmaster active suspension, and pulsar lt. Also dipped all the chrome. Have a 2021 cherry red trail boss. Loving all of what we can do to customize these trucks to our liking. Great video!
Don, excellent detail. I have the AT4 on order so watching these videos is helpful. I own an F250 currently and love my newly installed Bilsteins!!! Keep up thr great work!
@@Donslife I can't wait to spruce up my stock new to me 84k 08 Sierra Denali, it's white like urs, only added the 22" Chrome Snowflakes so far , but running boards, tonneau cover , drl headlights, LEDs, LEDs fogs and interior lighting and rain guards already and full tune up and oil change already bought. Keep up the gr8 vids!
I can't seem to find your video where you did your front Bilstein shocks. Did you say it gave you a bit of lift in the front? Looking at options to level my Trail Boss. Awesome truck and your videos are great!
Tires and Wheels are the only major mod you are missing! All good stuff Don, I have done several of your mods and are very happy with them. I have the same problem with the under hood light - The switch really sucks. Looking forward to see what you replace it with. Sounds like you have made a decision on your tires and wheels - I am so happy with the Method NV305's and the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT's. Very Aggressive looking without the road noise and a 50k expected tread life for whatever that's worth. Check them out - Would really look sweet on your truck. My truck is on Custom Offsets if you want to check them out further.
@@Donslife I'm running the stock 20's and I am looking to replace them with some larger tires. Unsure of tire sizes that won't rub without alterations to the inner wheel wells.
You Mods and videos are great!!! Thank you!! Keep it up! We have the same truck. I am also going to be towing heavy and 1000 pound tongue weight trailer. I am considering installing the Airbags AND Bilstein 5100s. When you mentioned the ride got harsh when empty, what PSI were you running the Bags unloaded? How much rougher did the ride get? Do you attribute the roughness to the combination of the 5100s and airbags or just the Airbags?
Thanks for watching the channel. Since this video I have upgraded the rear shocks as well to Bilstein 5100s. The ride has improved both loaded and unloaded. I keep the bags at 5lbs unloaded and about 15-20 when loaded with a weight distribution hitch.
Thanks for another great video. I am a bit confused about the Fog Light mod though. I was under the impression that with the fog light mod, the fog lights automatically came on with the high beams and that you couldn't turn them off. What you said in this video made it sound like you can turn your fog lights on and off whenever you want whether your high beams are on or not. Please clarify.
Thanks Don… Question I have a 2022 refreshed GMC Sierra 1500 6.2. Am pulling a 5000 lb 26ft Rockwood mini. Does about 2.5 in squat and a little bouncy. I do have trailer stabilizer As doing just one mod would you suggest new better shocks or air bags? Thanks
At that weight, shocks are probably fine. My boat and trailer weigh about the same and I don’t miss the bags. If you experience crosswinds like we have here with a camper, it is nice to have the bags to combat some of the body roll
Love your channel Just wanted to ask is there a way to switch the traction and stability control off 100% and I don’t mean holding the switch that’s inside I mean 100% off, would be amazing to know been searching for a while and couldn’t find anything useful I have a 2019 AT4 Sierra
I’d love to see your thoughts and install on the Turtle 2.0 light controller. I’ve seen videos out there on it, but I like your videos and input better than most. I’m sure it would be a cool feature to add to your lovely ride
As someone who is in the middle of the factory upfitter switch install, the con of all the wiring coming inside is a high concern. Not an easy install to do by yourself. Hardest part is getting the wiring through the firewall (even with the supplied pass thru).
Which part of canada ? I’m in Alberta, Calgary, I’d love to see that truck with those mods up close..I’ve done many mods in the past but most of them left always a trace or a big cons..kinda wanna see with my eyes !
I didn’t install a level kit on this truck. It has the stock AT4 height with a 1.1” lift to the front from the new shocks without upsetting the ball joint angles
If you go to the gmc aux switch panel could you just wire those into the harness for the 8-switch panel you currently have? Then let the wires stay in the engine bay and just pass through the single wire bundle from the other one

Wondering what you torqued the wheel spacer to the hub at and the wheel to the spacer at? I just installed the same brand as you and did 140 ft-lbs for both but I’ve read a lot on the internet about having issues with torquing them too much? Makes me feel better that you’ve had good success with Richeer wheel spacers but not sure if I went too high with the torque.
You should be okay with 140 both. I think I did the 130 to the hub before the retorque, but 140 for both eventually. Also I did a removal test later on without any issues.
