      Thank you Barbara. We appreciate your comments and we are excited to let you know we are starting a new video series called “Coffee Conversations”. Jody and I relaxed and I’ll call unplugged talking about topics while drinking our coffee. Just casual conversations and less formal teaching.

    Something that helps me in the grieving process is remembering their laugh. Somehow it makes them feel closer and softens sharp edges.

      I like this idea. I’m thinking of my Mom, my Dad, and my brother right now. They all had the greatest laughs. Thank you

    Jody, Mark--very tough video to hear but so true. The life we want to live at 91 must be tended to now. The life we lead now is so much different from the life we had decades ago. So many of us have children who are grown, parents who are gone and many are single. I think we all have to have something to run towards--new goals, challenges etc. And thank you for coaching us to find our " wild and authentic life."

      It can be hard for sure. It’s one of those things that requires a positive mindset and effort to find and meet appeal where they are. Volunteering is always a great place to start. Find an organization that you feel you care about and call them. Just pick up the phone and call. They should be set up to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Non profits need volunteers to survive. Good luck and let us know if this worked for you.

    I planted a garden after my 38 yr old died last Nov. it’s been helpful to see something alive. It’s been 9 months now and kinda like a pregnancy, bedridden and full of rest but it’s time for renewing and moving away from grief.

    You mean we can’t rehearse retirement before we get there?

    • @RetirementTransformed
      @RetirementTransformed  11 месяцев назад

      I actually think you can. Try making little changes in your current life so when you do retire you have practiced hobbies, exercise, maybe journaling, eating different foods. There is no need to wait for anything to start these changes.
