- In a recent collaboration between Ubisoft and The New York Times, a weak effort was made trying to shift the narrative surrounding the increasing controversy of Assassin’s Creed Shadows... But what's been uncovered regarding Sweet Baby Inc's involvement just blew this wide open!
Full Story: www.smashjt.co...
Remember, everytime they accuse you of being a grifter, it’s an admission of what they’re guilty of.
Projection 100%. That's one part of their game. Same when they call others racist. They're the ones obsessed with race and want to separate ppl by race(for eg being ok with "no whites" graduations for schools for eg). All these ppl we're against today in our pastimes taking them over are Marxists/Leftists who have been brainwashed pretty much. Hopefully as they get older they'll grow up like most do who are leftoids when they were young. As ppl build a life they usually put down the immature ideologies like Socialism type garbage.
Trueeeeeeee
Truest of all trues
That's exactly what a grifter would say
So all the people accusing Tiffany Henyard of grifting are grifters? All the people acussing Thomas Lockley of being a grifter too?
This article is for gaslighting investors.
Every time Assassin’s Creed Shadows is mentioned... Ghost of Tsushima should be recommended instead.
If only they were smart enough to work it out.
Makes you wonder - are these investors actually this dumb? Or do they consciously only care about how good the facade looks like, not the actual content?
@@cagejones7757 Investors look at money. They only know video games as a profit spreadsheet and a correlation list of what company did what and how much profit did X product make with their involvement.
Hey can you message Smash JT, that his camera is crooked. And it's been noticeably crooked for several videos.
@the_gratefulgamer I’ll fix it - thank you!
AC Shadows is exactly what you get when activists and DEI hires make games instead of the people with the skills to actually do said jobs.
Exactly. These people are so disgusting. I can’t stand sbi. They are a cancer and will slowly fall apart. Just takes to long.
Nah! You're giving them to much credit.
Judging by previous cases (dustorn, Concord, all those indie DEI games, etc), these activists didn't actually bother learning proper games development skills. So, if that was the case, this game would look more like Dustborn or the like.
This appears to be more along the lines of Suicide Squad - where it initially started development as a proper game, then the DEI weirdos took over and everything went down the drains.
when a company is overrun by woketivists. Expect them to churn out garbage.
The moment I read that this person worked with SBI, IGN and Polygon the only thing that went through my head was, "This guy doesn't need a costume to look like a red flag, since he is a red flag 🚩🤦♂️".

It’s so weird that they claim to want to represent Japanese culture, but then make a black gay samurai instead of choosing from thousands of actual samurai.
Same people who saw Stella Blade and Black Myth Wukong and thought, "We can't let these Korean and Chinese people sell more games than us!"
Can you guys recommend some other historical (or fictional idk) figure instead of yasuke I don't know japanese history much and I'd like to research who could've been better instead of him
@@ECcR0just Samurai Warriors lore.
it's based on history.
@@GlassesnMouthplates Wukong and Stellar Blade are both succesful. AC Shadows will be destroyed in November with low sales, it's probably one of the most hated games this year.
@@ECcR0 Not exactly a samurai since he's more known as a warrior monk, but I'd suggest Benkei. His entire lore is just fascinating; he was described to be a giant, he was known to arm himself with 7 weapons, and he died with honour protecting his master by technically becoming a human fortress. Legend goes that every enemy samurai who tried to confront him for close combat got annihilated quickly, up to the point they had to rain him with arrows that fatally wounded him, but it took a while for the enemies to run through him because he was still standing upright even at the moment of his death.
The worst part about this Sweet Baby Inc and DEI injection in our entertainment issue is the gaslighting by convincing the public that they actually don't exist, all art is political, we need more representation and we are too bigoted and that we must give it a chance.
Yep and everytime they get hired they claim that they actually didnt do anything.
It is pretty much the talking point of most of those Pseudo-Activists on Reddit and Grifters on the likes of Belair and Sarkessian, "Our popular media have always been political, so why were you upset now?"
My wife was black and a gamer and beautiful unlike the women in woke games. I can honestly say, since shes the one who got me into anime. If she were alive today, she would be pissed at Assassin's Creed Shadows! She died during the golden era of gaming. We were on PS3. I miss her. I miss playing with her and i miss the kind of games, movies, shows, music and culture that existed before Woke DEI infected everything. We didnt need anyone to force us to be diverse, we already were.
If I read this correctly, then my apologies for your love one.
There are two things I don't understand about our times. Why do developers refuse to do fit and attractive black women in games? Why does western media have such a big issue with portraying Asian men as masculine? Ghost of Tsushima was a wonderful exception.
R.I.P
@@Lontokka they think they are trying to get us ready for a world where everybody is trans.
My condolences, sir.
Kim Belair can be seen on the photo posted by Ubi of the AC Shadows dev team. It's pretty safe to assume SBI is involved.
And even if SBI isn’t involved, the folks behind Shadows clearly share the same values as SBI.
When they say "You don't hate journalist enough", they really are saying a gospel nowadays.
They give themselves pats in the back about their own lies, and then they corroborate their lies saying "I investigated them, which are me, and I saw nothing wrong, on them, nor me". Ubisoft was such a great company back in the day. Today? Today they deserve every bit of backlash they're getting. Especially after that BS move of deleting everyone's save for the ones that paid more for their awful Star Wars game...
Hail Smash JT! :D
Ubisoft hired an SBI employee, no big suprise
Its like Ubisoft is trying to race any other woke company to who gets bankrupt faster. And Ubisoft is leading
@@NonokobeBarsamMaybe it's by design. The lower the stocks go down, the more shares the Ubisoft founders buy up to gain more control.
SBI were started by Ubislop staff, right? Ubislop is probably their first customer and the company that white labelled them. Ubislop is ground zero for the slop we are getting. Sarkeesian started the hate against men and feminazi in gaming. SBI perfected the consulting grift and it worked until the games started getting released.
SBI is Ubisoft's baby. Since, some of the founders used to work for them.
Sad how they spent so much effort for Assassin's Creed Origins, making Ancient Egypt as close as possible, but did such a half-ass job full of activist spin for their new projects.
Hiring people who are activists first before their actual roles is the bane of any company.
Japanese should sue this kazuma...
From what I read, there are several lawsuits being built against Ubisoft. I guess they used a family symbol and didn't ask permission to do, as well several others. I think more countries should start suing gaming industries. Maybe it would put them on a better path, or completely destroy them.
Indeed
The Egyptians did and I think they got the company shut down.
'Reputable' newspapers trading on their past should not be allowed to quote someone without revealing they're using a psuedonym. Especially when done to add to weight to their words so deliberately deceptive. It's one thing to use 'anonymous source' but here in Australia they'd never print even an opinion piece deceptively implying a person who's likely American is Japanese then quoting their words as fact whilst leaving out other pertinent information that allows readers to draw their own conclusions. It's no better than lying.
The damage is done. This game is going to flop regardless of what the media says. Also, who fkn cares what NY Times has to say about games?
The NYT aren’t journalists either just activists for a singular worldview. Pretending that they ‘got taken” by an activist for this article is not accurate. They would have printed it regardless.

The Juice-Ish Dentists who buy Ubisoft stock care about the NYT. That is the article's audience.
It's just like what happened with the woke Cleopatra vs. The Egyptian people

Co-incidence? I think not. (Parts of France suffer from as much woke as parts of Canada). I don't think they were keeping their eye on the ball as once they didn't have to. Like with so many businesses today they've not supervised those below them expecting them to do their jobs without ruining the company reputation. Assassin's Creed Shadows is everything that's wrong with today's video game industry is full of DEI but even beisdes that, it is full of bugs, glitches, the game will most likely like all RPG modern Assassin's Creed games be filled with micro transactions, make your grind 50 hours or speed up the process by whipping your credit card, then you have 10 versions of the game standards, standards +, Standard ++, standard +++, standard premium, premium plus, ultra premium, platinum ultra omega super premium. Then you have all the inaccuracies in the game be it the Chinese buildings in a Japanese game, the wrong depiction of seasonal changes, the fact that Yasuke writes on a scroll upside down even though they call him "smart", the plagiarism by stealing from One Piece the Katana of Zoro, then the banner they have stolen or the religious statue they can't show but they are still doing it even though Japan told them to remove it, the game will run extremely bad you already know it look how awful Outlaws runs and so on and so on...
Ubisoft what happened to you, no not only to you what happened with gaming in general? At some point around 2010-2015 most of these companies started to change, EA, Ubisoft, Square Enix, CDPR, Activision... And sure they had some decent games in between but is hard to ignore their down fall and every year is worse, I am very curious how 2025 will look like. If we are already this low, how can we go lower... We might find out sooner than later.

People are out there compromising their company and their journalistic integrity to defend a luxury entertainment item!!!!!
Let's be honest here, "video games" is a media that surpasses movies and music by far, it has the potential to write culture and norms through its message, and that's why they are doing this. The message, for them, has a larger degree of importance than money itself.
While it's easy for adults to see the soft manipulation done through message of "type 1 and type 2 body" instead of "male and female", younger generations don't understand the implications of this reformulation and see this as just a small thing of no importance.
No they aren't. They're defending their own belief system and they would lay down their careers for it.

He? Isn't that a female pretending to be a male?
I think biggest Ubisoft mistake was making Yasuke main character, if he was NPC most people wouldn't care.
According to the trailer and concept art released by Ubisoft, AC Shadows is nothing more than a game designed to steal the flag of a weak organization, infringe on copyrights of cultural assets with restricted or prohibited use, lie and have technical bugs, steal the culture of Asian countries including Japan and China, falsify history, discriminate, and divide.
Kazuma Hashimoto doesn't seem to understand what makes us Japanese feel so proud and angry.

Know that the NYT propagandized for comm-myunist USSR and denied that the h0I0d0m0r existed. NYT has always been com- myune-ist.
I just cannot fathom why Ubisoft chose the AC game that is based in Japan to try and have a player character be "Historically accurate". While all of their other games used fictional/original characters. It isn't even about a black character. I would have loved a proper game with Achilles. Hell, they could have done an AC game based in Africa that isn't Egypt, and utilized a Black character.
But now we get a Black "Samurai" in Japan... Surrounded by Japanese people... And he is the only Black "samurai". It would be impossible for Yasuke to do stealth missions. How can a singular Black man blend into a crowd full of Japanese people? Not possible. But even if the game play just has Yasuke be a brute of a character that just attacks things head on, the moment he enters a town, regardless of head gear, he would be notices as he is the only black man and should automatically trigger high alerts. Logically speaking they enemy wouldn't even need an exact description. Just saying that he is the only black man on the island would be enough.
Anyone who unironically uses the term "alt right" has zero credibility.

I'm not so sure. We're not American so identity politics is less obvious here. My son isn't into current DEI talking points. Now early 30's when he lived at home and the first few AC games came out, he'd ramble on to me ad nauseum about storylines/characters etc forever showing me x y z. Knowing it was a favourite franchise I asked him when he popped in recently what he thought of AC Shadows. His reply was 'I don't want to talk about it', then he said 'well you started it' and went on a rant for 15 minutes about how pissed off he was and wasn't buying it and the reason why, which by now is obvious. He's what I'd consider a normie in terms of all this DEI stuff and he won't be the only one who feels that way.

What most people don't realise, is that journalism follows the hierarchy of: 1) journalism - non-biased reporting of facts. 2) opinion piece - effectively ranty rambly articles with a biased world view written for clicks and attention. 3) PR. It costs less than $1000 for a PR journalism piece to be posted into a newspaper (depending on the distribution and position of your article). Having worked in marketing, you can literally write your own article in a newspaper - for less than $1000. If it costs virtually nothing to display it on a website...why would it cost more?
