Oh man. Thats a good question. From my experience with mopar cars. They are plastic welded sometimes. They should definitely be removed from the inside, meaning you have to remove the panel to get to them. If you have the door panel removed, you should be able to see what you need to do as far as removing them.. plastic welds are a bit tricky. You need to cut them out and them reattach some way.
That is factory yes. But if you do not have the convenience light there now, or it never came with the car. Then no, the wire or harness might not be there. So say you go buy the light from another car, and you want to give it power, hence the factory wire being there. Then I would look to see if it might be taped up alongside other harnesses in the door. If it is not, then yes, you would be right about needing a new harness. BUT, I would not recommend doing that because even if you get the door harness, where does it go to? I would just get a diagram of what is powering up that light and just give it that power source. So say for example, the factory light turns on when you open the foor. Then you would try to mimic that with your own power source. Or say only at night when the lighst are on, well, you can easily do that. Your not commited to having the harness there, you can "go around" and do it a different way. Its just power and ground. You just need to know which one, 5 volts or 12. Need a diagram of some sort.
@@richideates it’s factory because the driver side has it it and I connected it with the puddle light connector to see if it turned on which it did, so I’m guessing whoever went in before me ripped it and just decided to completely remove the connection, do you have an idea on where I’d need to tap to get power ? Or should I just pay for the harness
That or the door was replaced from an accident. Thats a possibility for it not being there. Those cars are dime a dozen nowadays. Who knows what the past held unless your the original owner. I would do some digging first before buying a whole new harness. Much easier for some homework, than to just jump into conclusions.
2 minutes and 39 seconds in I show you how to release it..you can try with your fingers but that ish hurts if your fingers arent strong enough. Once you squeeze the tabs, it releases the cable from the bracket and just remove the ball from handle.

Can you tell me how the door armrest comes off. Is it bolted from the inside door panel or just tabs from outside that you force out.

Your welcome. Thanks for watching..
Your videos are very informative but for future reference you need a better camera person, keep the good work up.
The part that you unclipped with the door handle that powers the led light, mine is missing. Would I need an entire new door harness ?
Send me the timestamp of what your referring to.

I can't get the door handle off! How do you release the cable!?

Don’t really have a release the door Handel jus feed it back through the panel save time from doing all that saw it on another’ video lol
Your camera man sucks 😂
