A major faction like the Minutemen, the largest faction in the Commonwealth should have no trouble defeating them.
@@Me-B7 I'm not saying it's not true. Thanks to the mods, I really got to see the potential of the Minutemen, almost on par with the Brotherhood. The only problem I see is the concentration of power in the General, which could benefit from a feudal system to make everything better (technically, we conquer settlements and use their resources, with settlers acting like serfs to the General). Let's say Nuka World operates with such a system, where each group has its leader, and each leader listens to the greater leader and strives to maintain order (of course, anarchy is guaranteed with those psychopaths and mobsters), while the traders work as slaves in exchange for "protection and a better life."
But it's funny that Murphy says that, and then the Sole Survivor decides to flood the Commonwealth with another era of anarchy and slaughter, possibly conquering the Castle and burying the Minutemen completely.
Many of my friends said that Minutemen suck and that Preston Garvey got everyone with his tasks, when I started playing Fallout 4 I immediately fell in love with this faction and even when I tried to complete the game for another, I could not do it, my conscience would not allow , so I proudly call myself "Minutemen"!

Was pinned during a fight by a few vertibirds of the brotherhood launcher out of ammo rifle ammo running low i fired a flare into the air and i saw 3 flares respond and the calvery came a squad lead by a minuteman in power armor and a gauss rifle 3 more in heavy combat armor 2 combat rifles and an assault rifle they met them head on and never have i been more proud to be called general
The Minutemen are definitely better than people give them credit for, The Artillery is absolutely amazing, they may not have the best end to the Institute but definitely they make up for it when they shoot down the Prydwen. Absolutely gorgeous sight.

I mean,they both have cowboy designs to them. Except the regular troopers. They look like ww1-ww2 looking British troops
@rinlaster2942 not gonna vertibird support and a team of brotherhood knights with laser mini guns is also pretty bad ass and saves you in a pinch.
To bad those encounters are purely random and if you donf have mods for vertibirds to level with you then the strikes team has a 50% of dying before they hit the field
Ppl dump on Preston Garvey because of how the Radiant Quests were handled, as well as having to do stuff despite being General, but damn if I don't feel proud everytime I defend the castle as General of the Minutemen, a culmination of all my work building them into a fighting force.
My favourite faction by far.
Minuteman are the best hope for Commonwealth. I always belived in this.
Pair this with Sim Settlements 2, Minutemen Radiant Squads, Who's the General, You and What Army, Minutemen Takeover Nuka World, tacticool modern armor (KB-47's overhaul) and weapons (MK18 CQBR, Glock 19x, Remington 700 M24 and XM2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle, AX-50 Anti-Material Rifle, Agency Arms Benelli M2, FN Scar-H Battle Rifle etc.), the A-10 Warthog and Combined Arms and you’ll achieve peak perfection with the Minutemen

I can’t help but listen to this song on repeat whenever I do a Minuteman quest in Fallout 4🤠
Nice to see there's other people out there that make videos on the Minutemen that aren't just bashing the faction using the same old boring points. Don't get me wrong the faction has its flaws, but after seeing multiple videos/comments on "Why the Minutemen Suck", it gets exhausting.
I recommend to watch Oxhorn's Why Minutemen is the best hope for commonwealth. He gave the best case.

You know just out of curiosity what happens if the NCR ever come to the commonwealth or united states around the Boston commonwealth like anther organization stylized like them but during the civil war era type instead of the former modern American government.
Hey stapch epic if you ever decide to make another video, you should incorporate the sim settlements 2 mod story in this, and I use militarized minutemen to make them more realistic to what late stage well supplied minutemen reinforcements would like if you done your job properly as general equipping your settlers.
If you never heard of standup by Fort minor, you should listen to it. But I'm sure you know some good songs

And about Sim Settlements 2, I hear about that Fallout 4 mod, but I wasn't particularly attracted to it, but like to watch some videos about that mod. It's so cool, and chepter 3 and war there... just WoW ^^"
@stachepik yah its pretty amazing. The story is really good and complements the minutemen storyline well and actually gives you and the minutemen the more badass ending they deserved. Uniting the commonwealth as a community and citizen soldiers.

People often shit talk their low quality gear but I think it really fits narratively and makes them the most likeable faction.
Their usage of basic clothing and simple pipe weapons means that all you need to join the ranks of the minutemen in their goal of ensuring safe places for people to live in this hellscape plauged by mutated monsters and bandit squads is the courage to put your live on the line for your fellow man and a weapon you made out of the debris around you.
Then the reinforcement flaregun and artillery smoke show that by joining the minutemen you become part of a shield wall where each member settlement provides neighbouring settlements with ground troop reinforcements and artillery support, potentially coming from multiple angles ensuring nobody stands alone in their time of need and potentially encircling the threat

Oh man, this is beautiful. I always stay with the Minutemen peace ending. It’s so satisfying rebuilding this army(including the castle) and using it against the Institute. Also it’s a huge bonus when I see my Minutemen patrols team up with BOS Knights and fight random enemies.

For all the grievances I have with Fallout 4, I have a fondness for the Minutemen as a faction.
I highly recommend the mod Liberty Reborn. It overhauls the Minutemen, giving them new, stronger gear, all the way up to X-01 power armor and laser gatlings, all in a very nice shade of blue, just like the general's uniform. It also gives you the ability to make Minutemen defenses at your settlement, which are, simply put, overpowered beyond belief(but expensive, so watch out!)
And best of all: you can make a Minutemen crafting bench at a settlement, which allows you to create Minutemen clothes and armor for yourself and any of your settlers or companions, which not only looks stylish but also accepts ballistic weave, so it's highly combat effective.
In short, you can make a Minutemen faction for yourself that, with enough work, becomes the strongest faction in the entire game, enough to send the Institute, the Nuka World Raiders, the Children of Atom, and the Mechanist's Army all running.
Buffed minutemen militia mod highly recommend for anyone doing a modded fo4 run
I'm all in for Minutemen. I appreciate Railroad's good intention but Deacon criticized its over narrow vision. To be fair to Railroad, they are caring for the fringest of frienge group. Both Brotherhood & Institute view common people as exploitable resources, no matter how noble their slogans are, they are NO NO for me.

Railroad is good but their narrow vision and little flav idea that can make sometimes more evil then good (for example memory whipe synth that became bandit leader at Libertalia).
Institue for me is just no... Just no. I will not tolerate people of science that have no moral ground and they usualy ask "Can we do it?" more often then "Should we do it?"
As for the Brotherhood... For me they corrupted their way. Fanatic and puristic... And that Simple ideology "You with US or AGAINS US" gives me disgust especialy when they go to settlements demanding tribute just because they are here. This gives me vibes of bandits demanding money from protection.
With this evil or narrow visions I always choose Minutemen.
If I have to choose between ideology that I dont like or standing alone and fighting for what I belive... I always choose the 2nd. I wont sacrafice mine humanity and belives because is easier. Im pure idealist and Im proud of that.

Minuteman & Preston Garvey could have been great if the game/Bethesda had treated them like a real faction and not a player toy tag-on to the already dull settlement system.

Yeah but the problem will they desolve if the survivor dies or leaves. They need to make a government and use them as the security force or it won’t work. The brotherhood should do that but they’re stuck on collecting military technology when they should be going after all technology then use the good to help the wasteland
Bro after all they had gone through they will most likely stick around for much longer and an effective leader will emerge. The BOS wants good for the wasteland but mostly they want the institute and synths gone and they want technology.
I already have a new leader in mind just incase the sole survior meets his end. What alot of people don't understand is that you are the leader of the minutemen. You decide how things operate. I think that was Bethesdas goal with the minutemen, but ofcourse fallout fans like having their hand held by papa Todd 24/7

Thing is, those are short-term problems. The Institute, Brotherhood, and Railroad’s problems are inherent in the organizations themselves. The Minutemen just need some help, and soon enough they’ll be able to stand on their own.
Some would say that was original intention for maxson order. Instead into dissolved into selfishness and living in fear of the wasteland.
But elder Lyons. When elder Lyons changed things. All of a sudden the system the brotherhood is using actually worked. And if it wasn't for the fact of elder Lyons and his involvement with the lone wanderer. They would of never defeated the enclave
