No one would have labeled him as intelligent when he was dropped out of college. I love his saying, "You can never connect the dots looking forward, only when you look back". Once I heard that, it made me see intelligence as an individuals ability to commit to actualizeing their inner purpose

Yes. A very abstract, creative, good Ethiopian guy said exactly this to me once. You go through life and "connect the dots backwards". I think that's who we are.

After I listened to this, my conclusion is that “smart” is an illusion of differences we see. It is a way to appreciate others and genuinely share ourselves to others. Definitely not a tool for you to feel superior and call others dumb lol

This video totally reminds me of 'Woz in the Hood'! Steve Wozniak's genius is often overlooked, but his contributions to tech are legendary. Great homage to the underappreciated genius!

I don’t think we ever really mean it when we call people smart. It’s just a word. IMAO, we call people smart as you would call *just any ol’ random stranger* in your environment smart (e.g., a guy buying milk or a woman walking a dog, etc). I mean, I know a senior who’s going to turn twenty this May, and he’s graduating that month. Of course, he should’ve graduated two years ago, at 18, the proper age. He said he had a speech delay in preschool and some years of homeschooling, bringing him down to the eight grade when he returned to an actual school (age 15). He said he has ASD and a learning disability that limits and delays his general understanding. Can’t tell you how many times he asked questions in classes or needed clarification. He was not good at biology or chemistry, and always need help in setting up the experiments for the former and had to take his own private, simpler assignments for the latter in Special Ed, because everything in our Chem class was too tough for him. Sure, he works very hard, but come on, hard work _alone_ does not make you bright. Hard work *and* _natural brain skills_ make you bright, together. Some students are smart but lazy, some are smart and hard working, and some are hard working but…well, that’s exactly what this guy is, if you know what I mean. A few teachers who admired his hard working nature said he was very smart, and that is _precisely_ my point: we call anyone smart just for the heck of it, whether it’s true or not. This guy is one of the main reasons I do not believe “smart” is sincerely or correctly said when we use the word about certain people. Meet him, and you'll understand.

Jesus love you, he died on the cross for you, accept him as your lord and savior he can change everything. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life" (John 3:16)
But you must repent too. From that time Jesus went about preaching and saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin, for the kingdom of heaven is near. (Matthew 4:17):
