@@SimonSaysCanada I am going to try to take it easy on the speed. The number one thing I see people warn about is the pushback.
Helmet, kneepads, wristguards, an empty parking lot and a HUGE grin on your face!
Yeah man, pushback is perhaps a little too subtle on the XR… The Pint has a much more robust pushback, for some reason.
I went with all white too! Gonna grab some float plates next

Speed demon thing is accurate. I swapped to an XR from a pint and found myself pushing past pushback and honestly I did it successfully multiple times but all it takes is 1 time hitting a bump while riding that edge and down you will go. Onewheel isn't about speed it's about carving and floating over terrain like it doesn't exist.
Is the XR worth the money absolutely does FM need to change their ways about right to repair also absolutely. If they don't my next board will be some DIY community thing since the DIY community is very close to duplicating the exact ride of the onewheel.
I just modify mine like warranty doesn’t matter… Everything but the hub motor is super replaceable on this thing!

YES!
GT is more powerful, but the XR remains a super fun, super customisable platform in its own right!

I’m 220 pounds do you think it be better to save up for several more months and get a GT or is the XR strong enough to do most things at our weight?
220 is quite allright for an XR - but the GT is stronger , has mors torque and range so if you can go for a GT! I’m just saying that the XR is still a whole lot of fun in it’s own right.

I would argue that just because something came out 4 years ago doesn’t invalidate the fun-factor it has. I have not tried everything, but the 2 DIY boards I’ve tried, as well as the cheap knock-offs creeping on the market are nowhere close to the 4 years-old XR. But I’m generally not a DIY type of guy though, so if that’s your jam and are able to keep up with the community, you have my respect!
I do agree - and hope - FM announces a bold new revision to the XR for next spring… But who knows!
